Well, the Banshee was the final production standard of the RX-0's so any units made afterwards would probably have looked like it and the name could have been selected for the official production model. Still, by their nature the RX-0's are extremely limited production units, so the term Mass-production would never have applied (unless they had started mass-producing Newtypes like the pol clones to pilot them). Of course, after the opening of LaPlace's box it's a safe bet that EFF interest in building suits that used newtype abilities pretty much evaporated so custom model concepts like this would be in the "alternate-timeline" category anyway.
