I'm sure you can find someone out there to agree with you and at least cite Turn A's design itself as the reason. I remember a time when most everyone in the fandom would actually agree with you based on that reason, so I wouldn't be surprised if a few came by the news and reacted the way you did.
Personally, I'm pretty fond of Turn A, so I was pretty happy when I discovered this news, and will wait and see how the model develops from it's prototype stage (seen above) to it's final design in April. I won't be exactly expecting MG or Robot Damashii articulation, but if the model looks fantastic and has decent-enough articulation, then it'll be good enough for me.
Well, I never thought I'd convince you to change your taste in fictional mechanical design with a message here; I just basically expressed my personal taste. So it's a simple matter of agreeing to disagree here.

The design for me is simple yet very manly and unique if you ask me, especially that mustache. Still not fond of Turn-A.
