    1. Yup, this is a new mold based on the Build Strike. If only they made a new mold for the Mk II

    2. Thanks to Build Strike this will be a new mold, labeled as HGCE. Hope bandai'll continue it with 4 gundams and other MSs

    3. Man... having an HGCE of all the other GAT suits would be the best.

  2. Looks better than the old HG but release some new AC kits already! We get so many Seed kits being released its starting to get ridiculous. Didn't Bandai release a new set of HG Seed kits not too long ago because the ones before those weren't popular or something? I want to see more Wing and X kits being released besides the main mobile suits themselves of course. Granted, Wing is getting lots of attention right now but I really want to see more than Strike Gundam being remade or molded every few years. A new HG Heavy Arms or Leopard would be pretty sweet!

    1. No, they re-released some of the old 2002 HG kits in slightly more accurate colors with extra sticker decals and effect parts. A magazine was released around the same time that included parts to upgrade the joints and maneuverability on these re-releases (and the originals), but obviously, they were produced in limited numbers and are very unlikely to be produced again.

They also revived the HG SEED line with the LaGowe. Since then we've also gotten the M1 Astray, the Perfect Strike (which was still the same old 2002 Aile Strike with the only new parts being longer wings, the Sword/Launcher parts, and the connector to attach them all together), Gundam Astray Blue Frame Second L, Astray Red Frame (Flight Unit), Astray Gold Frame Amatsu Mina, and now this new Aile Strike Gundam as regular releases, and the original Gundam Astray Gold Frame and Gold Frame Amatsu (Ghina) were released as Online Exclusives.

  3. This HGCE Strike is part of the Bandai All HG Project which only main protagonist units will be released. So asking for other units is very unlikely to happen for now.

    1. Well, I do want to see Z, ZZ, and Turn A under this project, though ZZ is very unlikely since it's HGUC is relatively new.
Wish they'd release ball-joint to peg/hole connectors instead so I can use it's arms or legs on some newer kits; I can save a few bucks if Bandai releases it locally in my country instead of having to order Wave products online.

    2. Well bandai can take their time to finish their release schedule, after that they can freely expand HGCE and other HG's like HGAW and HGAC. They still didn't announce new HG Turn A for All HG Project too.

  4. The RG that already issued is way better, we don't need this..

    1. Not everyone has the time to build RG scales. This HG is a WONDERFUL revamp of the revamp of Perfect Strike...
P.S. of course RG is way better. RG is made to be really accurate, when put in comparison to the HG scales.
In other words, WE DO NEED THIS.

    2. If one REALLY doesn't want to buy the RG this is a decent kit. Otherwise it does feel like a step back.

  5. HG Freedom 3.0? With completely new mold and not just different colour

    1. What happened to 2.0? You missed counted mate.
Only one HG Freedom Gundam was ever released, afterwards, they did a re-release with new colour mold which hardly deserves to be called a 2.0.

  6. I don't get it; What's the hurry, they all are regular market released products. All new and old models will roll put eventually.

  7. I wonder if this new new Strike will come with the Armor Schneiders. I know that it'll probably be a pain in the ass for it to hold for one reason or another, but I love solid-bladed knives on mecha. Though quite impractical in most Gundam stories, I think that solid knives have a certain intimidating and eye-catching quality that beam swords and guns can't quite match. I think it's a bummer that they're so underutilized.

    1. That's true, my favorite GSD episode was the one where they attacked Lohengrin-equipped base where Shinn stabbed an MS (and sliced the pilot) with knives.

    2. Knives are cool but more impractical for actual close combat except you are melee-oriented pilot, i.e. Murakumo Gai.

    3. It does come with 2 armor schneiders. It's listed in the armaments that the kit comes with.

  8. Bandai should stop releasing strike too much. where is impulse!!!

    1. I won't think the Impulse will be released under the All Gundam Project real fast as Shinn Asuka is counted as a antagonist of SEED Destiny despite being the main protagonist for its first half.

  9. Not sure about the original HG but the Beargguy 3 manual shows that the Aile pack has a universal backpack connector, so I imagine it's easily swappable with all the other kits being released with backpacks. Bandai is hugely into the customisation now so I think that's a fantastic idea.

  10. Screw the watermarks. Hope gginfinite folds up.

  11. Shield ALMOST Perfect...

  12. Not a huge Strike fan, but looks very nice.
    - The shield still uses the same white part (can see the fake handle still there) but now has nice yellow parts.
-The V-fin is colour separated nicely
    - the Aile Striker is a huge improvement. I like that it can fold down and the extra length of the main wings makes such a difference. Nice yellow parts for the vents, but still going to be huge red stickers for the wings I guess
    - Armor Schneiders! I expect they are not foldable for storage, but would be nice.
    - Grey colour separation on the shoulders and arms looks much better and white parts on the waist.

    1. Also, both arms and legs on that one have frame, that you attach armor to.

  13. I was just wondering... are the RG and HG parts interchangeable like how they explain the joints are going to be universal. I sound really stupid right now right?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Am I the only one who's thinking that the shield will be the same as 2002/2011 releases and that color separation will be just stickers? ._.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. No the yellow is all parts. The only sticker is for the white part on top. That's forgivable since it's the same shield Red Frame came with, and we never got a white sticker for that

  15. Lovely box art, it's more tempting as time goes on but I need to wait to see if they do the Perfect Striker or something interesting.

  16. Bandai, please make HGCE Force Impulse

  17. I KEEP ASKING THIS QUESTION OVER AND OVER BUT FOR SOME REASON THEY WON'T POST MY COMMENT, WHEN ARE WE GOING TO GET HG 1/144 MODELS OF THE LIBRARIANS MOBILE SUITS LIKE THE GALE STRIKE AND HAIL BUSTER?
