Core fighter, weapons and shield are pretty much remolds from the RX-78 2.0.
ReplyDeleteOnly difference is colour ofthe plastic and modified peg system for the 3.0 hands.
well, what did you expect?
Deletethere are only a handful of ways you can build a weapon until you find yourself running around in circles.
Just remember how many kits they've trotted out the same Gundam Hammer mold for.
DeleteLooks sturdy, for an MG.
ReplyDeletewhat the hell is that supposed to mean
DeleteMeans; MG models are not sturdy; weight issue, easy wear and tear.
DeleteNeed more explanation?
so it's just a blown up RG LOL what a ripoff
ReplyDeleteno its not rip off. It's a mg. Sure the outer design maybe like the real grade, but everything on the inside isn't and that's what will separate them besides sizes. So if you still think it's a ripoff then just don't pay attention to it.
DeleteBlown up RG? you little cuntfaced fucktard, this thing is a scaled down from the 1/1 gundam in Odaiba
DeleteRipoff? You little Cocksucking faggot, you know whats a rip-off? SEED/ SEED DESTINY AND AGE! FUCKING AGE
DeleteI come here for the pictures and stay to read the people who write like they just learned curse words exist.
DeleteYou guy sure do love to curse each other.
Delete@Kaishou: welcome to the internet, where you can throw all of your morals, etiquette, and logic out the window.
Deleteon a different note, i'm not digging those gold stickers too much, too many bends.
I laugh at people who say series such as SEED and AGE are rip-offs. Silly people...
DeleteI like this kit so far. I have mg v2.0 and rg 1/144. I personally would like an mg 1/100 based on 1/1 gundam statue - so I'm not so much miffed that it does look like an rg 1/144 [since both are based on the 1/1 statue]. From what I can see so far the inner frame of the torso looks more like the mg v2.0. If it's inner frame is as good if not better than the mg v2.0's then the build will be more fun compared to building from the thin skeletal frame of the rg 1/144.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you.
DeleteI like the mechanism of MG RX-78 Ver 2.0 but dislike the design, and the RG design looks more appealing to me. And look what we have here now.
ReplyDeleteI want a simpler look. You can still have all those separating parts but get rid of the excessive panel lines! Also, the way the knees split is just stupid. Completely impractical, they should have gone with something like the GM 2.0's knee, where there's a secondary knee guard under the shin armor.
ReplyDeleteAgree, RG/MG3 style is way too excessive. I think the top was reached with OYW gundam! Bandai gimme an hguc Ver.Ka Rx-78 or a MG Ver.Ka Rx-78 and let's forget rx-78 for at least 8 years to go on with other ms!
Deletethere is a MG ver ka rx-78,i think they should of made the rx-78-2 from gundam origin
DeleteWell, the ver 2.0 already gives you a simpler look? I, for one, am excited about the high level of detail (especially the panel lines)!
DeleteVer 2.0 was TOO simple. I like the Katoki version, too bad they won't remake it.
DeleteIs it just me or they have clear plastic for the boosters/verniers? It alone puts it way OVER 2.0/RG
ReplyDeleteLight up jetpack ftw.
yeah it says nozzle something something then clear parts something something so ah yeah!
DeleteThis will be my first RX-78-2 Gundam I build. After some researching I was close to buying the 2.0 but once this was announced I pre-ordered it along with the expansion set. The 3.0 appeals to me more than the other versions.
ReplyDeleteIf Bandai is so insistent on metallic copper/silver detailing on the RGs, why wouldn't they opt to mold those parts in the appropriate colors for the MG instead of giving us stickers? We know they can do a reasonably good job with metallic-looking plastics.
ReplyDeleteTo keep the cost down?
DeleteMy thoughts exactly. I probably won't bother with the metallic stickers, because when I used those things on my RG Aile Strike, the metal finish just starts to rub off with a little bit of friction and some scratches.
Deleteto give us the option to use them. I never applied those stickers in the RGs I've built.
DeleteBut this is a "Big Deal"(tm) kit, one would think they'd try to go slightly more all-out. And besides, look how many colors the damn thing is already molded in, I don't think one more would put them that far over budget.
DeleteI wonder if those copper stickers will suck as much on the MG as they do on the RG?
ReplyDelete+1 Definitely
DeletePacific Rim is out! Mecha fans unite!
ReplyDeletewell...... got a bit dissapointed at those foil stickers. thought those parts were already molded in that color. hahaha
ReplyDeleteI agree I thought the same as well. I won't be using those foil stickers I'll just paint those areas copper.
DeleteThough isn't it nice all those 'metal' parts are in separate pieces? Easier to paint for those who choose not to opt on the stickers
ReplyDeleteScrew the watermarks. Hope gginfinte folds up.
ReplyDeleteUh look again there isn't any watermarks on these pics. The text on these weren't placed by gundamguy. Your posts have grown old for the longest time now.
