It made a mobile suit, that was already ugly to begin with, more ugly.
That's all based on opinion. For example I think the Age-2 looks cool. But I don't like this custom.

I like the skills needed to make this but I dislike the '' let's stick a load of shit on it and call it done.'' MS designs official or custom, ie I prefer cleaner designs
