This is a good move on Bandai's part. Just the addition of the swords (and side holsters for them!) is enough to change this from a ho-hum MS into a must-get! After all, the main reason the Red Frame Astray sold so well in HG & No-Grade lines was due to the shiny chrome katana it comes with.
There is one thing that might potentially spoil the ride for me though: is that if Bandai sticks to the sub-par articulation of the older SEED HGs - note that the displayed kit is a full prototype - meaning it was designed & made from scratch. So there's no excuse for lousy articulation unless Bandai wanted to keep it at par with the rest of the HG SEED line.
I'm not making hard assumptions yet, though. And even if the pair of katana doesn't come in shiny chrome, a splash of silver paint & a good polish will suffice for me.
if bandai would oso put out either zaft guaiz(hope i did nt mispell it or the R version) or the e.a.f dagger L series or windam wif respective striker packs too. and at least must be hg too, and murasame would be happy to hav some guys to thrash wif.
I'm a bit weird out on the swords there.
ReplyDeleteDear M1 Astray, you're not Red/ Blue Frame, you're a grunt. A cannon fodder needs no swords.
ReplyDelete@ Chris: M1 just want's to be cool too. Hahahah
ReplyDeleteI don't mind the swords, Just extra weapons for kit bashing.

those swords are very nice indeed!
ReplyDeleteI believe they are from the Strike Rouge IWSP.
ReplyDeleteWell, they're slightly different.
DeleteThe end of the blade is larger and a bit curved as compared to the IWSP's swords.
Nice, I wonder if that backpack's compatible with the Red Frame.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'll just wait a bit in case they release a Shrike version
How come M1 Astry have swords, did it used them in the manga before? Or maybe it is trying to be Astray Red Frame.
