The newest arcade game in the Gundam Vs. series, Mobile Suit Gundam Vs. Extreme, will pe published by Namco Bandai Games for the Playstation® 3 on December 1st. MSRP is ¥8,380.
In Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs., you control the mobile suits of the Mobile Suit Gundam series in 2-on-2 team action battles.
The basic systems carry over from previous Gundam Vs. games, but the game features new move-cancelling Extreme Actions and suit-enhancing Extreme Bursts.
For the first time, players will be able to enjoy arcade-quality graphics and scenery, all while playing with up to three other players online.
Additional features are also planned for the console version.

The basic systems carry over from the Gundam Vs. series. Mobile suits face off 2v2, with the team which wipes out the enemy's "War Potential gauge" first the winner.

Will there also be a US release? I'm assuming this is Japan only.
ReplyDeleteWell, the Unicorn is not a newcomer, since it was available in Next+. Now, those Crossbones look really awesome.
ReplyDeleteI believe you assume correctly, Anon; it's very doubtful that a game based on an unpopular franchise will make it over to North America (or at least the U.S.). The last time the Gundam Vs. series made it overseas to over here was with Gundam vs. Zeta Gundam; basically Fed vs. Zeon and AEUG vs. Titans in one using the old engine, and it was panned. It's probably an understatement since Bandai didn't even try porting future games over at all (Gotcha Force not counting, even if it used the new engine the newer Gundam vs. games use).
ReplyDeleteNot to mention that GEV is currently over a hundred dollars in our currency. Even if the Yen was equal to a Penny, it'd still be expensive.
I'm surprised there was even an attempt to port over the Gundam Musou trilogy of games, even if it's just Dynasty Warriors with a Gundam theme. I don't think they're doing great with those, either.
Hope they add Freedom too on PS3!
