Upcoming Gundam Merchandise Images

Sometimes is hard to decide whether or not to get a toy figure, since I had been suckered before by professional photo images which look a bit different from the end product. Perhaps the following images can give us a better idea what the end product would look like to help us make our final decision....perhaps...

G.F.F.N Aile Strike Gundam
Release Date: June '09
Price: 8,190 Yen

Pretty nice detail on the body, but the head looks a bit bland, maybe is because the figure is not panel lined. Which is strange considering most G.F.F. were panel lined. I guess the G.F.F.N line is heading into the G.F.F. Metal Composite territory of no panel lining, which is really a bummer since it is suppose to be a higher quality product (not to mention at a higher price too).

Robot Damashii (Side MS) - Crossbone Gundam X-2 Kai
Release Date: July '09
Price: 3,990 Yen
I've noticed that any Robot Damashii that comes in dark molded colors tend to look better than one that has lots of white. Because white really makes the figure look too plasticky.

Robot Damashii (Side MS) Gundam Exia
Release Date: July '09
Price: 2,625 Yen
Can't expect too much from a Robot Damashii in terms of detail, but the posability is great. No wonder they sell like hot cakes comparing to the MSIA line. Yes I am crying over all my MSIA that I have which doesn't pose well at all...

Robot Damashii (Side MS) Masurao
Release Date: July '09
Price: 3,360 Yen
I consider this one too way over priced for a Robot Damashii, which again lacks the detail & accessories. As I recall, this one comes with a display stand, but still that doesn't really justify a purchase. Cuz I can get 2 HG00 gunplas at this price.

  1. I know what you mean about having trouble deciding when to buy a figure. It sucks when it arrives and its not like it was in the photo at all. There are so many vinyl figures that I want but they are all sooo expensive!

  2. Yeah... A lot of the G.F.F. I had purchased long ago were really poor in quality, they paint out of place, panel line were out of the line area..etc. Terrible.

Yup Japanese toys collection is an expensive hobby.
