I was really hoping they were going to end up doing this as a Master Grade. Guess it wasn't meant to be. But at least we're getting it in some form of 1/100. Hope to see some good things between now and release; possibly LEDs and better hands. Premolded hands work..but they're by no means attractive.
I thought that mono eye type does not received much attention than gundam type when we are talking about master grade; even zaku 2 does not receive further treatment more than 2.0 when compare to RX-78 or even Nu gundam. Though, this might be the reason that something that people does not want or unpopular (especially mono eye type; except sazabi) will be throw into reborn 1/100, this is just my opinion.
The exterior is based on the gouf, which leads me to believe its either theory A, where its based on the old B club conversion kit re-adapted for use as a stand alone plastic model kit, or they're hinting at the fact the efreet was a competing model AGAINST the gouf as the superior ground type MS (in which the gouf won, somehow).
But regardless it won't have a proper inner frame, just the exterior that shares features with the gouf
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaasssssssssssssss!!! I don't buy kits much these days, but man oh man..this..just this! Wish Blue would get a 1/100 release as well, but this guy will get bought upon release. Dem shoulder spikes, dat color scheme.
About fucking time!
ReplyDeleteIt's gonna be glorious to finally have a kit of this!
ReplyDeleteTo quote Garrod Ran in one episode of After War Gundam X, "Tiffa, I believe in God!" :)

ReplyDeleteI've never been hugely into the Efreet, but I'm glad its fans are getting this, I know it's been neglected heavily in any kit representation.
ReplyDeleteMissile packs look kinda clumsy
ReplyDeleteThey always have my friend. They always have.
