PSP - Gundam Vs. Gundam Next Plus (Update 3)
Posted by
G.G.
Here are some updated MS info from the official PSP GVG Next Plus website... with the ones shown here being my current favorites. I have to say I wasn't that excited about this game after the release of Gundam Senki UC0081. That game still currently rules my PS3, and will be there for awhile (even Batman: Arkam Asylum has to stand aside for now). And quite honestly, I haven't been using my PSP for gaming for a quite awhile, but just using it to watch videos on my bed (currently rewatching Densha Otoko..... Hermes MOE! LOL)
But as I find out more about the upcoming PSP GVG Next Plus... I am getting more excited. The most interesting addition over the original arcade game is the "Next plus" mode, that allows the player to use a team of four Gundams to tackle a series of missions, carrying them over during the campaign and acquiring experience that will allow him to customize and improve his mobile suits. The best part, though, is that this mode will be available even as a cooperative mode, allowing 4 players to connect over the ad hoc network and play the missions together.
And there is a couple of updated controls for the Next Plus version:
Shield block: by pressing down on the D pad only Mobile suits equipped with a shield will be able to block the incoming attacks with it. Useful because some attacks cannot be evaded in any other ways than by blocking or putting a building between oneself and the attacker.
NEXT Dash system: similar to Boost Dash, but allows to actually chain another attack after it, if used well can lead to devastating combos.
Also, a few more details have been revealed that gigantic mobile armors will be included as bosses in the Next Plus mode, and the game will also include Mobile suits exclusive to the PSP version of the game: the Gundam Wing Zero Custom and the Gundam Nataku from Gundam Wing Endless Waltz, the 00 Gundam and the Ribbons Gundam from Gundam 00 and the Unicon Gundam from the new Gundam UC series.
The above info was enough to have me sold on buying this game. Dec. 3rd...bring it on!

Images for the newly released HG 1/144 Kshatriya.
Price: 4,500 Yen
Finally, I had looked forward to this kit for a long time. But looks like I won't be able to get this one in time for my Bday for sure, most likely until late December, since the HG Jegan took just as long to get here (almost 2 months after release).
An American Salaryman in Tokyo has started a nice WIP for this kit, check it out.

Gundam UC - Pruducts Schedule
Posted by
G.G.
Here are some info about the products line-up for Gundam UC. Most of what is seen here were already old news, except for the fact that HG will issue a Stark Jegan kit next March.
Bandai listed an Another Category for Gundam UC products, not sure if it will another line of toy / model? But is exciting to know that something new is around the corner, as we can expect this new line of product to be on sale by the beginning of Jan. '10.
Also next March we will see a MG kit for a mobile suit from Gundam UC. Most likely we will get news of that later this year. But is fun to imagine what it might be..... perhaps the Kshatriya? Geara Zulu? ReZel?

Model Supply Loots
Posted by
G.G.
Well recently I'd been doing much more modding & detailing on my gunplas. And the only way to get any good results is to get the right tools. Here are some of what I've purchased recently:
G-Temple Chisel Set
I've previously used Mission Model Scribers to scribe my panel linings. But I found those quite clumsy & time consuming to use, since the tools are long and hard to keep a straight line unless I press lots of pressure on the tool, and the panel lines became too deep. But now, at the suggestion of Zeta_pla, I've purchased the G-Temple Chisel Set which is much much eaiser to use. Is shorter and allows a firm grip, the set itself comes with different sizes of chisel for more creativity when doing the panel lines. (Default chisel comes with 0.1mm, 0.2mm, 0.15mm, 0.3mm)
I've ordered an additional 0. 8 & 1.4 chisel as well. Some had ask how to scribe panel linings, and here is a simple image to show you how.

SP Eyes
Got me some SP Eyes, which are circular metal part that can be inserted with a SP Eye Lenses (in various colors) for your usual Zeon mobile suits. I purchased both 4.0mm (MG) & 2.5mm (HG) sizes. Mainly I got these for my MG Sinanju that is on hold right now. One bad news thought, the seller forgot to send me my eye lenses...
G-Temple Head Vulcans
I just got these in case I start building any Gundam / GMs. I will be using them on my MG Sinanju too.
Never had any experience working with custom thrusters, so I got these to practice. Mainly I plan to use them for my MG Sinanju.
AM Decals
I've grew tired of waiting for MSG decals, which are usually sold out. So I ordered these so that I would have ample supplies of generic decals for my upcoming works.
Aurora Sticker (Cameleon sticker)...I don't know
The owner of MechaShunk was nice enough to include a sample Aurora sticker, which I had inquired about. These aurora sticker is great for the eye piece of the GM or Gundams. And the color of the sticker will change according to the base color of the paint. This will be fun to try.
This is for making a enamel wash for panel lines & clean ups.
Clear Red Paint
In Los Angeles, is a pain in the behind to find any clear red paints... most everywhere are sold out and doesn't get re-stock. So I ended up just getting a spray can of clear red (last one in store). This will be used for all the clear part on the head for all my 00 gundam kits.
