    2. nice overall, only the ugly part is that fixed left hand.. where's that glorious manipulators?

    3. ^That's the Turn X's right hand, it's just on the left side of your vision. The weapon the Turn X possesses on it's right arm is called the "Destruction Manipulator". It was designed that way. It also has the "Power Drainer" function. And I think it looks cool.

    this shall be interesting

    1. I imagine the larger price in comparison to the turn A is partly the extra bulk of the backpack and partly not being able to double parts or sprues nearly as much as on a more regular design.

I mean, aside from the head, torso and upper arms, it's not symmetrical. IIRC that's from the Turn A kicking it's ass so badly at some point before the series that it wasn't able to repair itself right.

Price doesn't make much difference to me though, since it's my favourite MS. Looking forward to the kit :D

    3. hope that nice stand with special effect included too..see that pic?

  3. I hope that steep cost covers a stand for all of the funnel-limbs. I'm looking forward to this immensely.

    1. Actually, this is exactly why it's so expensive. Good guess!

It will be a pretty intense custom stand, since it can split into nine parts.

  5. 6480 yen pls have butterfly wings pls bandai pls

  6. Regardless of the high price, I bet the plan is to sell the Butterfly Wings as an online exclusive add on. It's a trend that Bandai has been doing lately. Quite frustrating. But will make us buy it in the end; especially for those of us that have the MG Turn A.

    1. Yeah, really. If anyone actually thinks Bandai will go through the "effort" of including a thin plastic butterfly wing effect part on the standard release, they're out of their mind. Keep on milkin', Bandai.

That being said I'm getting this regardless, though no way in hell paying twice as much for an exclusive just because I don't live in Japan.

  8. This could end up being one of the best ever. And man, we're getting close to master grade #200

  9. isnt it a bit expensive coz its asymetrical ?

  10. I never saw the anime, but this actually looks like a pretty good design.

  11. Looks like it has an emotion manipulator on one hand. Or its fingers are just really unnaturally posed on this prototype.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Those aren't what the emotion manipulators look like. Looks like a swapping type of hand

      Delete
    2. Except the "open" swappable has never looked like that - it's always had the fingers spread apart and sitting on different levels. I'd say this looks more like emotion than swappable.

      Delete
    3. Wait, never mind, just got a better look. This prototype, at least, has a swappable there.

  12. i think the left hand is the inter changable manipulators

  13. Almost thought this got dropped like the Age FX. Still, finally! It's happening!

  14. The Info that i found at hobby search says that this kit includes a stand for this funnel-type attack so....I need this! My mg turn A is very happy right now

  15. Finally, i going to have a red turn x. It will make it 3 times stronger!

  16. If I'm not mistaken, chest of this MS are glowing right? So, I hope there is LED for this MS~~~~~~

  17. After almost 15 years of waiting...

∀ Gundam has his rival turn to MG

    next... MG DX ?

  18. Is it just me or does that display stand for the All Range Attack seems weird? It display the body parts vertically. Guess I'll need to wait for more pictures to see the stand used in a different configuration.

    1. Looks like a modified action base so wouldn't get my hopes up personally.

    2. Idk since the arms each split in 2 and the head should be light enough as well they might be able to use the nu ver ka's funnel stands and the legs should be able to at least pivot on it hell even the torso shouldn't be too heavy to have flying off. I bet the bulk of the mass would be in the backpack and that it would need to be on the main connector to the base

  19. I wonder how the beam sword us going to attach also will it come with the shining finger effect part... unfortunately we all know it won't have the moonlight butterfly parts

  20. Yes! It shall be mine. I will hug him and squeeze him and call him George.

  21. aww man. as much as i'm looking forward to this, why did they have to ruin it with non-moving finger hands like on the new wing kits. couldnt they have just provided hands like those on the sinanju or the sazabi. bummer

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Better yet why can't they just sell those new manipulators individually? (I say "new" despite them being from 2012)

They break so easily, I need to replace at least 3 of them. Plus it wouldn't be hard to customize other kits with them (such as this one, if you really wanted to).

      Delete
    2. I don't see why people complain so much about the swapping fingers. I mean the moving ones are nice but I swear my sazabi has carpeltunel (?) It has trouble holding anything heavier than a beam sword in its right hand, and the left falls out only slightly less, though having both types would be nice with any new kit

      Delete
    3. I prefer the "three finger & trigger finger split" of most MGs, but I also like the swappable fingers in the MG SEED and MG Wing lines.

I really hate the "emotion manipulator" hands seen in the MG Nu ver. Ka, MG Jesta, MG Gundam 3.0, and MG Sazabi ver. Ka. Sure, they're more versatile with hand gestures, but I find that the fingers always fall off or break off, and the weak wrist joints make it difficult for the hands to hold anything heavy.

  24. I actually just finished watching Turn A for the first time which now means I have caught up on every Gundam animated series sans any currently on going series. I have to say for the fans complaining that most of the Gundam series are a retread, not having any new ideas, not serious enough of a war story with with compelling characters and a strong political plot then they should look no further. Turn A is like no other Gundam series that has come before it or after and is quite unique with a great story. You're certainly missing out if you hold any reservations due to the mech designs for this series. I can safely say that this is one of the few Gundam series that definitely doesn't feel like merchandising gimmick for the robot designs as they are the least important aspect of the show. I would certainly put it up there with the higher rated Gundam series like the 0079, Zeta, the UC OVAs, X and 00. I'm definitely in love with the mecha designs for the Turn A and Turn X and therefore cannot wait to add this Harbinger of Destruction to my collection.(And yes I realize this contradicts one of my statements about the show but this is more of my personal bias of owning robot figures and kits as I'm obsessed with them)

    1. Totally agree... except the last bit, though I love the turn x, i still don't like the turn a's design. At least not the head and COCKpit of it, but turn a is my favorite of the animated non ova series. If you haven't seen it,you're missing out

  25. Badass boxart. Now why couldn't the Turn A have had something similar when it first came out instead of the boring Ver Ka type boxart. I guess the HGCC boxart makes up for it.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Well, I don't know for the Turn X yet, but the MG Turn A was designed by Katoki. So it kinda makes sense to have a Ver.Ka-type boxart.

      Delete
    2. Because it's 100th MG maybe, and controversial one.

      Delete
    3. Controversial?

      Delete
    4. the design of the turn a was pretty controversial, what with its big v-mustache

  26. The boxart...look like teenage mutant ninja turtle hehe :p

  27. So... never knew it's crotch was able to grab things... does this mean it is actually the big sister of the turn a?

But seriously every time I see new things about this I only want it more

  28. Display base added in the kit!?!? I love you BanDai (^_^)v

    1. That is ancient history at this point... unless you are referring to the body bit (I know it has an official name but don't know it off the top of my head) stands which didn't have pics until recently and which look better than I thought but not sure if as versatile as I want
