  2. i find this kind of models a bit of excessive, its like they are telling us to do a massive thing with lots of stuff to win... what about the originality? just because something is big and full of stuff doesn't mean that is good, well at least in my opinion

    3. I have to agree. I mean, congratulations to the modeller, great kitbast and all, but truthfully, there's waaay too much crap hang from this guy.

    4. I have to agree. It looks great and all but there was a time when simply attaching additional weapons or modified shoulder and leg armor won these competitions.

Now, there's just too many people creating massive kits that remind us of the Dendrobium.

    5. Yep. Overkill monster wannabe seravee plus CEcraptastic huge backpack... NO THANKS!!

(I prefer that unicorn with fin funnels)

    6. I also agree with you. If i were the judge, i'll chose anything but this. Unfortunately, considering the amount of money, time and effort to make this, there'll be more shit storm if this lose than if this win.

    7. I agree too... great work in all, but it's too confusing. No estetic at all.

  3. Got to be the biggest cluster fuck i've ever seen

  4. To me simplicity is key and this is just blowing it.

Never really like custom kits with shoddy paint jobs. I like my anime accurate out of the box look. But that's just me. Feel free to think whatever you like.

  5. I wouldn't really call this a clusterfuck. It isn't my cup of tea but it's undeniably well executed.

As for the bigger = better argument, here's my take: bigger = more chances for error. Bigger gives you more chances to show off your skill... and at the same time, you get more chances to mess up. I wouldn't be surprised if judges take that into consideration as well.

  6. As for my opinion, i really like this kit not because it is big or what.. mostly what i like about this is that the parts are well integrated considering there are two mechas..they are not just placed there with no purpose.. another point is the paintjob.. you can see that its not amateur.. a well painted kit.. next point is the dio.. very simple but more realistic imo.. the shading, the color.. judges looks more on the kit and not on the dio..

  7. Congrats to Benjamin for the well-deserved win! I am neither a fan of the Banshee nor the Rezel yet you can take both of them and combine them into something so mind-blowingly awesome. Everything from conception to execution to finishing demonstrates a dedication and skill level that most modellers can only dream of.

  8. I would hate to be a judge for this cause there were a lot of really incredible entries. The Singapore Gunpla fans are ambitious in their design concepts and very talented in their actual craft. My (and most people's) idea of a "custom build" is a different color scheme. What kind of crazy genius would think of turning the Banshee into a mobile armor? They should hire these fans in Singapore to design actual MSV. The designs are not feasible for animation, but absolutely breathtaking.

  9. Well....Singaporean's are "kiasu" people anyway....they'll do anything to win. The bigger the customization, the more chances to win. Typical Singaporeans.

    1. I honestly think Filipinos take the cake in bigger=better builds. I've seen a lot of builds where they just try to slap on as many shit as possible without even trying to mod then decently or even doing a good paintjob. Im not saying all of them but every year I definitely see a handful up close and personal. At least Singaporeans make their mods and kit bashes blend well together.

By the way I'm also Filipino. Im just mearly stating an observation. I know Filipinos are going to be swarming me in a matter of seconds saying "Why dont I show my kits" "stfu lalal" "I bet you arent really a filipino" crap.

    2. Congrats to the winner and all but wow, what's with that banner and his face plastered all over it man??? Is Bandai crowning the Singaporeans as overall winners alredi? The world finals haven't even started yet. I wonder who did that banner. Why do only the Singaporean winner get it? What about the other countrries?? Or don't tell me he photoshopped this himself LOL. Man that would be kinda self-indulgent...zzzzz

    3. I think the pic was taken from his facebook account, I met him a year ago very humble person

  10. I had no idea the back unit was a separate mobile suit until I saw this post, holy crap do I have even more respect for this guy, I mean, making a fully transformable (one half at least), combining mobile suit (Banshee is still technically one in this kit, not a mobile armor, it just has enhanced weapons and a massive weapons pack) out of two separate kits that look great by themselves is really a massive accomplishment.
