From AnimeNewsNetwork:
The August issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Gundam Ace magazine is announcing on Saturday that an anime project of Yoshikazu Yasuhiko's Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin manga is launching. The manga is itself a re-imagining of Yoshiyuki Tomino and Sunrise's first Mobile Suit Gundam anime project by the anime's character designer. Yasuhiko is ending the manga in the same August issue of Gundam Ace.
Yasuhiko launched the manga in Gundam Ace's inaugural issue in 2001. (The magazine is celebrating its 10th anniversary this month with the launch of a Mobile Suit Z Gundam manga by the anime's animation director Hiroyuki Kitazume.) Viz Media published part of the manga in North America.
Bandai Channel had revealed that another new Gundam project would be announced on Saturday.
So this is most likely that special announcement that Bandai is going to make this weekend (Previous post).
Definitely this is a very good news for hardcore UC fans like myself. =D I am so excited!
To the 'no new UC series RETARD,' I say lulz at your garbAGE face you faggot! Hahaha eat it you shit EAT IT!!!
ReplyDeleteNo, you just shut the fuck up, and eat the shit yourself. If any of you claim to be a pure fan of Gundam, then zip your goddamn mouth and stop criticizing anything. Immature adults.
ReplyDeleteI want ZZ movies... :)

ReplyDeletethis is more like, much better than the gundam garAGE. maybe a remake of the original gundam in HD :)
ReplyDeletePossible of a Mobile Suit Gundam Reboot series?
ReplyDeleteGuess they ahd to appease the hordes of angry UC fans after the AGE announcement, which is understandable.
ReplyDeleteI have read some chapters of the manga so far and I think It's pretty good. I'll be happy If the UC series get remaked from 0079 to Char's counterattack, lol that's just my wish lol XD.
ReplyDeleteNote Gundam Guy
ReplyDeleteThe magazine contains an interview with the president of the Sunrise, which will show more details on the new production. Fuente Ventana de Saouri

A big-ass UC remake would be just what this franchise needs.
ReplyDeletein twitter japan its no 2 topic
ReplyDeleteIf this turns out to really happen in the form of movies, ovas or even a series with a limited budget, I could not be happier. Like I said in the Dreissen gunpla contest, The Origin manga is in my opinion the BEST gundam story ever told, re-imagining something that was already legendary and fixing all the issues the series (and the great compilation movies), improving on the storytelling, character development and so on. Even minor characters like M'quve are more complex and badass in the manga, and the ones that were already interesting get a better treatment as well.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I hope this doesn't turn into a "HAHA YEAH, GUNDAM AGE SUCKS, THIS WILL BE EPIC"...that upcoming series has a target audience, and this will clearly aim at older fans, everyone's happy. Additionally, if done right, it could create a new audience out of those who don't want to watch something from the early 80's.
I agree with Nova. This has the potential to be an amazing series. Just doing it in HD Widescreen would make it an amazing step up from the original.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I highly doubt it, it would be awesome if they produced it in Japanese & English for same-day release. I hope they can get the original English voice for Bright Noa at least.
And we need more Bright Slaps.
HAHA I know that Mr. ItOVER9000 gunpla reviewer is the 2nd commentator in here lulz......don't get your windpipe in a bind brah!
ReplyDeleteI'd rather have something new, but... FUCK YEAH!
ReplyDeleteYEAH !!! GUNDAM Reboot !!! AWESOME !!!!
ReplyDeletei have volume one
ReplyDeletei wish they use hajime katoki for the designs
i really want a crossbone series and sequel to victory gundam
u all have junk in your mind
ReplyDeleteThis is great. This has to be the Gundam news of the year for me. I'm a hardcore UC fan so I'm ecstatic about this.
ReplyDeleteI'm just going to go ahead and say that, if this is done right and I hope it is, this could be the biggest Gundam news since... Ever!
I just have to wonder how Banai will deal with Unicorn, AGE and Origin... Hmm...
That's cool! It's been a year since I last read a Gundam issue. I hope I get the chance to read manga again. I sure miss it a lot.
