Namco Bandai will be porting over the Gundam Extreme VS arcade title to the PlayStation 3. The PS3 port is currently 70% complete and will be released on December 1st 2011, priced 8,380 yen (roughly $109USD)
The arcade been ported from is Namco System 357 and the system itself has been based from the PS3 which will make it much more easier for Namco Bandai to finalize the full port of the highly anticipated game for PS3 Gundam fans.
New supports for the home version include original modes (currently unspecified) and a BGM edit mode that lets you use custom soundtracks from your PS3. The game will also features online play via PlayStation Network (PSN).
The September 8 issue of Enterbrain's Famitsu magazine is announcing on Thursday that Bandai Namco Games will bring the arcade game Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. to the PlayStation 3 console on December 1. The new version will feature the mobile suit Crossbone Gundam Full-Cross, the final version of the Crossbone Gundam that Tobia Arronax pilots in the sequel manga Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam: KÅtetsu no Shichinin.
Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs., the ninth in the decade-long Gundam Vs. line of games, debuted in Japanese arcades last fall. The PlayStation 3 version will be the first appearance of the game line on the current generation of home videogame consoles; the previous incarnations appeared in arcades and on the PlayStation 2, Dreamcast, GameCube, and PSP platforms.
