Yes. In the story, the Crossbone X1 Kai, a modified X1, is modified once again for the pilot of the X3. He names it Crossbone X1 Kai, Kai. Better known as "Skullheart"."
That's because the Full Cloth is Seabook Arno's already restored XM-X1 Kai, which was again restored to be fitted with parts from Tobia Arronax's XM-X3 and the Crossbone Vanguaard's Flint. It's like the 4th upgrade that the XM-X1 has received in its entire lifetime.
Indeed it is X1 Kai Kai. Since this is the upgraded X1 Kai where the chest is modified into Skull like on X3. Kai = modify/revision So you could say the Crossbone X1 is being modified twice into this variant.
Kai is modified/customized. Kai kai means it's modified again after crossbone x1 kai, but just call it by it nickname "skullheart" so it not sound so difficult to call.
Depends on how you spell it. The version used in mecha means reform, correct or change. So this is more like X-1 Modified Modified. https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/%E6%94%B9
That sounds right. It was called the "Kai Kai" after the end of the original series. Another (and better) name given to it was "Skull Heart" because of the ol' skull n' crossbones on it's chest. It's an absolute crime that every single Crossbone variant is being released as P-Bandai. I want to see these things on store shelves dammit!
Kai Kai was a repaired X-1 Kai with the parts from the X3 (its from Steel Seven). Sadly i dont see the X3 hand I-Field generator on this one... Bandai getting sloppy
@Doubly Well, if you want hguc skullheart, just buy hgbf x1 full cloth then ignore full cloth parts. It's exactly just normal x1 full cloth without modification, just have different color scheme.
Kai also means 'modified' or 'improved', which is generally how it's used in Gundam. Skull Heart's a modification to the Crossbone X1 Kai, so it's Kai Kai
"Kai Kai"??? If I'm not mistaken 'Kai' means 'recover' or 'restore', right?
ReplyDeleteYes.

DeleteIt's the repared/restored version of the X-1 Kai (basically it adds the X3's skull chest and Murasame Blaster.)

ReplyDeleteThe X1 was repaired as the X1 Kai, then repaired again as the X1 Kai Kai, and then modified into the X1 Kai Kai Skullheart
ReplyDeletekai means custom
ReplyDeleteActually mean custom or personalized!
ReplyDeleteI believe in Jp culture that means "enhanced" "improved"
ReplyDeleteCustom
ReplyDeleteRight. The x1 gets trashed badly twice in the manga. Hence "kai kai" the final version being "full cloth"
ReplyDeleteKai means custom if im nt mistaken
ReplyDeleteanyways i think the only difference compared to the normal x1 is different chest and armament
