  1. I was wondering when they were going to announce this kit.

  2. Ugh, I hate this busy, overloaded Gundam and practically every mobile suit from its series. It has AU-level excessive weapons on it. Barely looks UC. Send this thing to Build Fighters where it belongs.

    1. Actually. It belongs in the MSV line movable suit variation where it first originated. All those inclusions make sense because it is a space type gundam therefore needs boosts and extra protection from neo zeon mobile suits that use such weapons as heavy sniper beam cannons. So yeah. Gotta know more about this mobile suit before hating on it. If you were a true mobile suit fan you know there are full armor versions for every gundam there are.

    2. this didnt fight against Neo Zeon though, just regular Zeon. and the reason for all the extra armor and it having 4 shields is that it fought in the debris zone "Thunderbolt Sector" so it needed protection from the debris

    4. i'd like to see you pilot a vanilla rx78 through the thunderbolt sector.

    6. Wow what a fucking pair of idiots you two are. This is a fantastic mobile suit and you two have shit taste.

  3. I wonder how much of these two new kits are old and how much are new? Its not typical for Hajime Katoki to work on older kits.
Also, am I the only one seeing WHITE Nu hands?

    1. the mobile suit thunderbolt's last episode was just aired, and you think this is an old gundam?

    2. You're not understanding what I'm saying. When I made this comment, much less was known about this kit. It could have been 90% 2.0 Rx-78-2 with a nice cover kit on top for all we knew.

    3. hence the gundam's model number "78" remember the EF made 3 prototypes with the model number 78

    4. Remember in the first few episodes of the 0079, the rx78-1 and rx78-3 were destroyed by order of the captain because they couldn't get to white base

  4. I presume that the MG FA-78 Full Armor Gundam Ver.Ka and MG MS-06R Zaku II High Mobility Type "Psycho Zaku" Ver.Ka will be the only 2 MGs released for the Thunderbolt series?

The crazy thing is that we have MG ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam Ver. 2.0 for April 2016 and then from then til July we're not getting a single MG?

Well that is if you don't count the Premium Bandai releases which so far are confirmed for:
    May 2016
MG MS-06R-1A Zaku II High Mobility Type (Eric Mansfield Custom)
MG GAT-X105B/ST Star Build Strike Gundam (RG System Ver.)
MG Expansion Effect Unit for ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam Ver. 2.0
MG ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam Ver. 2.0 Full Burst Mode Special Coating Ver.

    June 2016
MG MSZ-006A1 Zeta Plus A1 [Unicorn Ver.]
MG AMS-119 Geara Doga [Unicorn Ver.]

I hope that at this year's Shizuoka Hobby show they actually announce some new MGs that are coming between April and July and then from July to the rest of the year.

They've been very very slim in terms of MG announcements.
It'd also be cool if they announced some new RGs and maybe a PG.

Or at the very least announce some new Premium Bandai kits.

Something for more people to get excited about.

  6. Now everyone can calm down bout this getting a mg release. Though depending on which version of the rx 78 mg they are using as the base will determine if i buy it

  7. this is gonna be bought ASAP!

  8. This is going to sell like hotcakes. I'm not even mad about this RX-78 variant in the slightest.

  9. I'll probably get this version given that they use a new mold/the RX-78-2 3.0 frame and not some obsolete design with some new parts. It's happened too many times which really compromise the solidity of a figure. Really loving how this looks but will have to wait and see if it will really be worth it.

  10. welp, now i know what my wallet supposed to vomit this july....

  11. they use standard joints? not thunderbolt's joints?

    ReplyDelete
  12. From what I can see, it looks like a completely new mold.

    ReplyDelete
  13. what is up with the the elbow joints in the first picture

    1. I'm guessing the meshy/fabric/rubbery covers are optional? I'd say that's smart, seeing how some people hate that design choice.

  14. This is definitely a completely new mold from what I can tell. It looks to have detachable armour which is an awesome touch but I foresee some horrible stability issues like the MG Unicorn where he won't be able to hold up his weapons in many poses, but he has a load of gimmicks on him which is really compelling.

  15. I really don't like this Gundam line, they all look like they're wearing Crocs.

  16. I want to know how the armor will be attached to the MS body...

If it is same as full armor gundam MG... Will be shit...

    ReplyDelete

    1. You can see gaps for the armour to fit inside so its not like the original fa gundam

      Delete
  17. Looks like that the armor will be attached with pins, not double face tape.

  18. This thing is Beast!!!! Ill keep hope alive for a PG or a PG barbatos!!!

  19. I think this is a good candidate for a no polycap frame

    ReplyDelete
  20. do you think it's a good MG kit? Please give me your opinion ;)

    ReplyDelete
  21. It's a 'Ver. Ka' of an RX-78 variant that looks nothing like the actual RX-78-2 Ver. Ka. So much for consistency, lol.
