I have noticed in the previous pictures from one of the magazines that the kanji for side story appears (gaiden) and kadokawa is mentioned as well so I assume that the astaroth will only appear in this side story manga
Its from IBO Gaiden, a side story of Iron-Blooded Orphans. Piloted by Argi Mirage, and the left arms was from a spinner rodi *CMIIW Sorry for bad english..
-I actually wouldn't be surprised if the Astaroth was one on the concept designs for the Barbatos, given how "main gundam" it looks. -If it doesn't make some sort of cameo or appearance in IBO anime, i will be such dissapoint. If it does make an appearance in the series, the form it appears in will probably have a p-bandai release. -As a small detail, has anyone noticed that, in the anime, it is stated that 26 gundam frames remain, and that each gundam revealed so far starts with a different letter? If we eventually get to see all 26, i would bet we would get a Sternritter (bleach) A to Z naming scheme, in addition to the demon motiv.
Looks like this cool gundam is based on cloud strife~~!! And I think this gundam is an ally because it possesses the colors red'blue'white and yellow and we all know that colors are mostly from the goodside's gundams
the story of this mobile suit seems pretty cool. after the near 300 years since the Calamity War, the Gundam Astaroth's parts have been scattered across the world with only its Gundam Frame and head staying together, so all of its armor other than that is either custom made or taken from other mobile suits, which is why its left arm is an arm from a Spinner Rodi
no this is a different gundam there are 72 gundam frame and this is one of them, and no this is not from the second season, this is from the side story
thats an interesting gimmick to advertise, it was already a given that the parts of the HG Gundam Kimaris, Gundam Gusion Rebake, and Gundam Barbatos were compatable with this, bout to actually advertise it....
I need this. I don't care what series it's from, I must have it.
ReplyDeleteagree
DeleteI need this too
DeleteReminds me of the GP03 for some reason. I dig it!
ReplyDeleteIs this IBO? Is it Ein's suit? Why is its left hand a power fist? WHY? SO MANY QUESTIONS!
ReplyDeleteBecause he fapped with left hand
DeleteWinter Soldier reference
DeleteThis MS is from IBO side story.

DeleteI want it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletei'll probably get this for that sword... O__O
ReplyDeleteSo is this the enemy's new Gundam or Tekkadan's?
ReplyDeleteAny info?
Neither. It's an MSV suit apart of a new IBO manga with a different story.
DeleteIt's the main suit in the IBO manga side-story. Any other details are unknown at this time.
DeleteThis is from a gaiden manga of IBO. :)

This is a design for the side story.
DeleteManga and photonovel, most probably won't be in anime.
i like this :D
ReplyDeletei like this :D
ReplyDeleteThis looks like GP03 Stamen with badass sword
ReplyDeleteGuess Spinner Rodi isn't coming since they actually provided the arm...
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the Sword strike gundam? Is that some sort of easter egg?
ReplyDeleteSword strike 2.0?
ReplyDeleteThe look is pretty standard. I thought the series will be full of unique gundam designs but this is not so much unique. I'm not hating on it though.
ReplyDeleteSword strike much?
ReplyDeleteAnd to be honest, nothing wrong with that....this design is growing on me :)
Sword strike + gp03 stamen without beam weapons
ReplyDeleteCloud Strife Gundam ?
ReplyDeleteIf the sword cool for the both side..
ReplyDeletethis thing looks pretty cool
ReplyDeleteYou know what I smell? An upcoming Spinner Rodi kit ;)
ReplyDeleteBless bandai for not making this a p bandai product
ReplyDeleteA "Leftie" must be uing this suit...
ReplyDeleteDef grabbing this when it comes out~ No question~
ReplyDeletelooks like something from Recon G
ReplyDeletefoldable sword +1

finally something looks like gundam.. hahahaha...
ReplyDeleteLooking at the color scheme, could it be mikazuki next suit.?
ReplyDeleteFrom the color scheme i think this could be mikazuki next suit...
ReplyDeleteThat Barbatos leg now looks like strike leg, gundam frame sure is versatile
ReplyDeleteyep this is ibo
ReplyDeleteeither mikazukis second suit in the second season (maybe)
or for a upcoming manga for ibo
#29
ReplyDeleteHmmmm...most likely we'll see this in the 2nd season of the show.
ReplyDeleteIt's IBO Side story, so I guess this is one of the many Gundams from 300years prior.
ReplyDeleteI think this awesome gundam is based on CLOUD strife~!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like this cool gundam is based on cloud strife~~!!

Am I the only one who sees the recycled g reco gaeon gundam kit?
ReplyDeleteMay?! is this season 2?
ReplyDeleteKindly refers to Nightmare from Soul Calibur rather than Astaroth from the same game...
ReplyDeleteThis is Gaeon's parts which includes the head with two eyes plus some other kit bash parts. Gaeon looked more Gundammish than G-Lucifer by 75%.
ReplyDeletethe story of this mobile suit seems pretty cool. after the near 300 years since the Calamity War, the Gundam Astaroth's parts have been scattered across the world with only its Gundam Frame and head staying together, so all of its armor other than that is either custom made or taken from other mobile suits, which is why its left arm is an arm from a Spinner Rodi
ReplyDeleteman it took a while after i posted this for it to get up, just checked this page yesterday and it wasnt't here XD
DeleteThis design just reeks of awesome~!
ReplyDeletecombination of astray blue frame, sword strike, gp 03, and IBO series.
ReplyDeleteWhy do people keep thinking it is from IBO anime ? Isn't it the sidestory's main mobile suit?
ReplyDeleteGP03 and Sword strike had a baby
ReplyDeleteLook like a three way fusion between Barbatos, GP04, and Gastima.
ReplyDeleteIm sold for the sword it kinda reminds me of GPO3 but again most of the ms there looks like GPO3
ReplyDeleteHead is from that G-Reco unit named Gaeon plus the better camera of 2 eyes, the MS that looked more Gundam like than the G-Lucifer.
ReplyDeleteit looks ok, the swords great. but its kinda bland imo
ReplyDeleteI hope we can straight build when we buy twice
ReplyDeleteIf this the evolution of barbatos, gundam ibo will lose his rating
ReplyDeleteno this is a different gundam there are 72 gundam frame and this is one of them, and no this is not from the second season, this is from the side story
Deleteit looks a lot like a type of samurai to me
ReplyDeleteGundam Astaroth is from the official side story to Iron Blooded Orphans published in Monthly Hobby Japan and Monthly Gundam Ace magazines.
ReplyDeleteIt seems to have a bit of a gladiator aesthetic to me with it's asymmetrical armor it's big choppy sword and overall "tough" appearance
ReplyDeleteI mean I am probably misinterpreting it but I love the design nonetheless!
Ah, a folding anti-ship sword with the beam blade taken out.
ReplyDeletedoes this mean Vassago will be the Strike Launcher
ReplyDeletethats an interesting gimmick to advertise, it was already a given that the parts of the HG Gundam Kimaris, Gundam Gusion Rebake, and Gundam Barbatos were compatable with this, bout to actually advertise it....
ReplyDeleteNice
