Gundam series just need to be CGI like what Valvrave and Nobunaga the Fool did instead being hand-drawn, they need an evolution at the animation. How about you guys opinion? (No offense please)
I don't know but i kinda like the hand-drawn animations more. CGIs are too perfect and that makes the movements look kinda dull. Hand-drawn animations are more dinamic action-wise so i prefer hand-drawn ones. Pardon my english
Bandai tried couples of CGI series like MS Igloo, but fans realy didn't like it. But still they already are using a lot of CGI lately, mostly for Gundam Unicorn and movies. Just Look at Gundam Origin movie trillers.
Even right now Hand drawn animation is better than CGI. These are the few reasons why.. 1. You can get intense action animation that is fluid. Best example Macross Plus and Gurren lagann 2. You can get animation that looks really good looking. Even in high budget stuff like Unicorn, the CG Unicorn like for transformation is not as good looking as the hand drawn Unicorn like for the fight scene. 3.It is doesn't fit the rest of animation. The characters are hand drawn while the mechs are CGI? Even the newest tech today don't have the capabilities to make it fit together. 4.There is a bigger artistic flare like unique styles in hand drawn. (Imagine Gurren lagann was CGI, would the animation be as unique? Remember this is not Pixar or Dreamswork working here)
The only bad thing is when the animator got lazy for the key and in between animation or the budget shortage due mismanagement (example SEED and Evangelion TV)
The good thing about CGI are that it is easier and cheaper to fix any mistakes. It is not an evolution of animation. Not just yet.
I think the animation for gundam is fine. Especially with them using the combination of both cgi and drawn animation. Not saying I didn't like the animation for Valvrave and Nobunaga the Fool, but I like gundam's animation more.
What the fuck is that TV box headed robot? Are we really gonna go there, gundam? I mean, you've had some weird designs in the past but I'm seriously hoping I'm not seeing this mech correctly. The one with the extending arm thing that got cut off.
The Main character here is remind me Akira Takizawa from Eden of the East anime. so this gundam story is after Eden Of the East happened.. just joking.. haha..
Well, I guess every post-Turn A series needs a Pink-haired character. Seed/Destiny: Lacus 00: Feldt Unicorn: Marida. I think. Age: Shanalua from Gen 3, or Lu, that ONE sickly little girl that makes Kio AUTOMATICALLY ASSUME that ALL of the Vagans aren't crazy supporters who, you know, KILLED countless innocents and soldiers. Flit was a BAMF, what strange mutation happened in the gene pool? (I really do not like AGE. Unicorn, Astray and 00 are my bread and butter) Build Fighters: Kirara
this is gonna be better that lackluster seed and age i can already tell

DeleteAnyway the new eureka seven like style is by far enough change to makes me exited!
DeleteCGI animation is stiff and awkward, I'd still prefer hand-drawn like the F91 movie and Gundam Unicorn...

NO.
DeleteCGI = Lazy-ass
Hand-drawn = Brilliance.

DeleteNo CGI please! = -= It doesn't look good at all. Anyways I'm not really excited about this = _= it doesn't even look like Gundam.
DeleteJust watch Gargantia or Majestic Prince, it has better animation compared to now cheap Gundam Animation (GBF)
DeleteCGI is best for animating highly detailed characters or mechs like the Ex-S, which has intricate designs and complex transformations
DeleteHand drawn is down-to-earth and fun in some ways
It's all about the applications and efforts put into one's work, whether CGI or Traditional
Not going to lie, G-Self seems like an odd name choice for a Gundam.
ReplyDeleteoohh this will hot so many "G" spots >:)

ReplyDeleteI really don't get all the hate for this so far. I mean yeah AGE was a disappointment but I'm actually excited about this.
ReplyDeleteG Needs ReDesign... Is what this should be called.. ugly ass gundam...
ReplyDeletelooks AGE tier

Is'nt that the X-Rounder concept a devolution of humanity. Hence, the Black and White Morality of both Flit & Kio.
