Agreed on the backpack thruster. Looks like it was kitbashed from an MG Ball - not my thing but it's an admirable idea. Seems like it fits better on a Zudah than a Zaku, though.
That skirt armor is bad-ass though. This Zaku looks positively reptilian. The repurposed tank treads look like dragon scales and they lend an even more organic feel to the Zaku. Maybe the base green color would've been better if it were matched a little closer to the skirts, but that's picking nits at this point - this is really well done.
The skirt is not my liking, sugoii thruster & blade however
ReplyDeletePacific Rim ver. ?! XD
ReplyDeleteReally good craftsmanship here. I really like the use of the tank treads, but at the same time I feel he went overboard with the front skirt.
ReplyDeleteThe thruster at the back doesn't really jive with the Zaku, though.

Damn, that is really cool! Where does the sword and the gun come from?
ReplyDeleteSword seems to have been taken from an Astray Red Frame, with a modified sheath.
DeleteThe machinegun I'm not 100% sure. Its bulk and shape reminds me of the Jesta Cannon's, but I'm not aware of a Jesta Cannon kit in 1/100 scale.
Alternatively (and more likely) the sword could've also come from an MG Shin Musha Gundam, assuming the sword itself isn't modified.
DeleteYeah the tank treads are a bit of over kill. The rear booster...feels too exposed. Other than that it's got a sleek look to it for the most part.
