  1. Blitz + Deathscythe Hell + Epyon + blood, sweat, tears, and talent = Gundam that embodies the spirit of Cao Cao
    This is just fucking beautiful

  2. These cleaner and less kit bashed to hell and back builds look way better than the stuff you typically see in the other competitions. I really dislike how modellers get awards based on much crap they manage to stack on a kit instead of actually being creative. Less is more, I say. That Deathscythe Hell Epyon looks great. It shows a good effort and a good paintjob without going too far and becoming a caricature.

    1. Exactly! How is it that people win with just a mobile suit with a million weapons strapped on, its ridiculous. The clean paint jobs and creative works are always appreciated :]

  5. not to break the mood here, yes its a great build and I really like it, but come finals in Japan its very unlikely that this build would win any award mainly for use of China Made Model kit LVBU( and from the looks of it a lot of LVBU parts were used)

    1. i'm a personal friend of kdash, and i have to disagree with you. i've see the kit up close personally. yes, some parts from lvbu kit was used, but define a lot? theres only shoulder armor, forearm armor, and ankle armor parts were used. even that, they were also modified to fit on to this kit. please take a look at the photo before painting: http://studiodash.net/DSC01297.JPG

Photo belongs to KDash's WIP website.

  6. Looks awesome, though I still don't recognize some individual parts of the kit but at least I know it still is more gunpla than plaplate.

None of those annoying little intended nubs and holes that are supposed to provide a "realistic" feel but just look ugly.

As for the Zaku, I love it, simplicity goes a long way. I like the Tron-theme for Master Gundam but personally, I don't like glossy paint.

  7. The fuunsaiki custom looks likes it would be in tron or something.

  8. My only comment is that the Fuunsaiki could use a bit more seam line cleanup.

    Otherwise, great entries.

  9. I saw some of the other winners from around the world, and I don't think this can compete equally with the others..
my guess, the top three are Indonesia with the wing zero, this, and Malaysia..

I put my bet on Indonesia, it is awesome, especially when it is made by a woman...

  11. That's Kdash for you. He makes the best fantasy mobile suits in my opinion.

  12. Thanks for the kind comments guys. I have removed the image from my site that my buddy posted. it was never intended to be shown until my site launches.. i believe i have followed the contest rules, one of them stated:
*Parts of commercial resin/resin conversions and Hobby Japan/Dengeki magazine kits may be utilized, but must be altered to suit your unique design.*

70% of the kit was original bandai product, including parts from MG Epyon(Tail) + MG Deathscythe Hell(Knee armor) + NG 1/100 Deathscythe Hell(Wings) + MG Blitz (main body). the rest was scratch built + parts from lubu with modification like my buddy stated earlier.

as for the concept of the work, i will reveal it soon with the site launch.

again, many thanks and i'm excited to be in japan for the 1st time!
