Waiting for the manga and anime to confirm why the guy doesn't use funnels. But my first guess is the president/captain guy just sucks at using funnels.
Its exactly like the 1st MG 1/100 but scaled down to 1/144 plates, knowing Bandai... lazy ass mofos! The 1st MG 1/100 was nicknamed "BIG-HEAD" because of its incredible disproportionate head to body ratio.
I like the Hi-nu best, and the Nu second. But this is just sad... If only Bandai considered a different way of putting the funnels it be forgivable. That swiss army knife thing is the most ridiculous thing ever mounted on a gundam.
Nu without funnels doesn't really bother me, and I actually appreciate Amuro beating back bit/funnel equipped enemies with just a rifle and a beam saber.
I think the reason that the Nu Gundam Vrabe doesn't have funnel is because the president/captain is a close range fighter and the funnel won't work with his fighting style.
Another ugly kit. Do they even apply for the quality of their kits? -_- I mean they're ok ( apart from this and Qubeley Papillion ) but comparing to Age ones are baad very baddd.
The show's about kitbashing and customization. You don't buy this for the base design but to have different colored parts you can mix and match to something you like.
This looks..............interestingly nice! I like the fact it doesnt use funnels. Don't get me wrong, funnels are awesome, but it just makes everything seem more simple, like the original RX-78-2 gundam: nothing special about it, its just a cool mobile suit.
Hey, so this is completly off topic, but anybody else think it would be able to do the whole "gunpla battle" in real life? Cuz you KNOW we have the tech to do it. Other than that cool gunpla!
So you are saying we have the technology to reanimate plastic models, using "Plavsky particles," into fully functioning mobile suits capable of real firepower in a 3D holographic environment? Really that's news to me.
IMO, the 3D-scanning part should be possible but having special abilities derived from scanning? No way.
Maybe the ability to place little RFID chips onto you gunpla may make it possible, though I don't think it would work with beam sabers and other small weapons. Also needs a little programming on the modelers' side to include abilities, then physical limitations to portray special weapon types (like different sized chips for standard beam rifles and mega launchers), and a card that contains your gunpla data.
We can't even make a Gundam game that reflects proper damage, great physics, beautiful HD graphics, insane combo/movement list (like ripping out your left hand to act as a weapon), individual controlled funnels, changing environment and most importantly, a game whereby a Zaku can go toe to toe with a top tier Gundam.
I think simulation machine which appeared in GPB-verse is more practical than plavsky particle. Sure it's awesome for control our gunpla directly but building a gunpla and compete it each other then break it is just.... sad. Not Everyone can use parts replacement service to fix their gunpla.
needs to be miniaturized even further than it is now.
possibly perma-attached to key points on the stock model, so it would reduce bulk. a high speed, high detail 3d scanner would also be needed to render the model. or the embedded chips would need to be programmable.
That's just a recolored Nu minus the Funnels
ReplyDeleteEven Bandai is re-thinking the blade idea.
DeleteWhy ?
DeleteAre funnels prohibited in Build Fighter ?
kinda make no sense, Nu without funnel is not Nu.
Waiting for the manga and anime to confirm why the guy doesn't use funnels.

Maybe the still working on the blade weapon so it will be like the build strike full package
DeleteThe answer is very simple.
DeleteTatsuya forgot to make the funnels.
Why he didn't go back to complete it I'm not sure.
I think funnels/bits will make the first appearance in GBF with Qubeley Papillion.

ReplyDeleteI appreciate it more when he beat the Sazabi down to a shit using the Nu's fists XD
Deletei second that.
DeleteI think the reason that the Nu Gundam Vrabe doesn't have funnel is because the president/captain is a close range fighter and the funnel won't work with his fighting style.
ReplyDeleteThen why didn't he just pick a gundam that fits his close range style?
DeleteWhy not? it's his GunPla
DeleteWell, this clearly spoils who the pilot of the builder's nu gundam is.... gee... who could it be...
ReplyDeletehis nickname is "Crimson comet" but using blue Nu......
ReplyDeleteJohnny Riden will be proud XP
DeletePS : Riden is the " Crimson comet " while Char's " Red Comet "
Wonder if Shin Matsunaga's double will be in the serie too...
Errr, isn't he the "Crimson Lightning"?
DeleteAnd yeah, I also hope Shin get's someone since M'Quve has one and Ral's there himself, kind of.
I suppose its before he got the nickname.
DeleteThe manga starts when he is just 7 years old.
I try to look at it as a melee Nu Gundam. My only problem is the paint job...blue and grey on white...boring

Amuro's nu gundam is the best !
ReplyDeleteScrew the watermark. Hope gginfinite folds up.
