DeleteThese pics aren't really proof of anything, considering how many models in the past needed stands for prototypes but end up being able to stand up unassisted in the finished product - one surprising example is the HG Raphael, which you'd think wouldn't be able to stand up at all with its massive back-heavy backpack, but does so surprisingly well with just its own two legs (and no cheating with the cannons). Prototypes like these also are weaker joint-wise than the finished product, so there's no telling whether the RG is as back heavy as you claim until the final model comes out.

It's a bit back heavy but it can stand if you make it lean a bit. For a Strike Freedom kit, this is the least back heavy one apart from the 144 HG.

RG Strike Freedom is basically the same as RG Freedom. It's like arguing if royal blue or marine blue is more blue than the other. I dont see why this needs to be released.
DeleteI hope you were up in arms when the Gundam 3.0 was scheduled for release because it's basically a scaled-up version of the RG. I hope you got mad because they released yet ANOTHER Zaku variation because it's the basically the same as the others. The Strike Freedom is to compliment the Destiny so of course it's going to get released. If you kept up with the news, maybe you wouldn't be so salty because you'd have seen this coming for ages like everybody else.
DeleteThus RG have "Advanced MS Joint", so I think they'll make a whole plate of inner frame into a lame gold, or else this will be more expensive than even MG. But com'on, it may has some good gold for Callidus cannon just one and fix the rest with those Flashy stickers.
ReplyDeleteStrike Freedom is my all-time favorite MS in Gundam universe, but I didn't buy any SF kits because of those horrible gold (I planned to get MG Full Burst one in the future). Let's see how Bandai will deal with it in RG, and may this time will has wing of light effects? We'll have to see...(But if exclusive like Destiny again, forget it. I'll skip)
Bandai recently run some good thing for me out, like HG DX/V2/F91, RG Destiny/Strike Freedom. Let me hope for some more.... MG Gundam X or DX or Reborns Gundam.
Full Burst still has a lot of visible non-plated frame parts. I suggest getting normal one and spray-painting the frame. Will look much better.

ReplyDeleteoverall design still looks the same as the MG did but I do wish they pushed the wings upward more, more like the RD Strike Freedom as it's wings are too low compared to Freedom's where you see the tip of the folded wings from the front. Strike Freedom's just kinda hides behind it's shoulder armors. I do wish it also has wings of light effect parts like the RD Strike Freedom and RG Destiny did...
model aside, I am really digging the insignia there for the Strike Freedom. it gives off the jiyuu no tsubasa feel to it. And no that's not reference to Shingeki no Kyojin reference. I guess it shouldn't take a rocket scientist as to why the Freedoms had big wings now.

DeleteThe reason it being on the belly in the anime is because that's where he was stabbed in Freedom. It being there is to be like something to protect him in the case of that happening again, and now it's on the middle of the torso. At least it looks better than the one that's on the PG kit
