I have been looking forward to this kit ever since it's been announced but I have to say, I am disappointed with the frame color. I really hope the frame color would be the same with the wing frame color.
you do know this is impossible, right? they paint up the wing parts in chrome gold and the price went up by 500yen, how much of an increase do you think putting the whole frame in that same gold would do?
that aside, no doubt bandai is going to put this out again as an EXPO extra finish or expo metallic finish, so just wait for that one if you don't like the current frame color. as for me, tamiya gold paint is far cheaper than bandai's milking strategies
i think the problem lies with the plastic integrity if they were to make it out of the same kind of plastic to be chromed, especially since the frame parts are molded together, if they tried to chrome it, it might all just stick together. then again, they may have done it before but i don't recall any model kits like that.
The wings of freedom, fly forth again
ReplyDeletePlus side: The Shiny Gold
ReplyDeleteDown side: Weight issues + the puke gold inner frame
And then, there's the expensive Full Burst Mode pack. This got me sold.
so when are you going to make that blog?
Deletesomehow... the lower-body proportion is a bit, well, unbalance ? compared to RG Strike n RG Mugen Justice..

DeleteOr the fact chromed plastic gets brittle from time to time.
DeleteI agree with you all, and I think the solution to this problem is with tamiya gold paint.
