  1. Another PG for Seed -_-
Why did you choose Seed as your favorite child, Bandai???!!!

    1. Because it sells.

      Lovingly years,

      Bandai

    2. Because SEED MS model rocks nyaa... (⌒▽⌒)

      Delete
    3. Because Seed really do have good designs. You can hate on the stories, but u cant hate on the designs because of the story... If your gonna counter with them having wings, UC has a few suits with wings as well.. Queen Mansa, Kshatriya (they called it the quad wing), Sinaju (no matter how you look at it, those are small wings..Dont argue that they are boosters, because i can say the same for every other suits with wings), and finally Hi-Nv

      Delete
    4. seed. . .. where all the gundam have beautiful wings but can fight like a war machine .. . . what a joke
UC still far better if it was about design =_______=

    5. That's only two Gundams. Google is your friend. To me, UC suits focus more on realistic designs and utilitarianism. Some designs are pretty nice like the V2, Hi-Nu, Sinanju to name a few but UC isn't known for having "eye-catching" designed suits. Comparing apples to oranges, friend.

    6. The same guy that designed a lot of stuff for UC also designed a lot of stuff for SEED, so the basics are the same; that is until they got crazy with the upgrades.

Now, why do I like UC designs over SEED designs. Cause SEED got crazy with their main characters' mechs. The first 5 Gs were actually cool IMO but the next 3 OMNI and the next 3 ZAFT suits were too much. And then we got to destiny where the 4 out of the first 5 look like they were made just to look cool.
So yeah, SEED in general doesn't even try to not like a 20-minute commercial for bandai.

    7. You guys brought up an interesting point here.
If you look at "making the SEED suits look cool" from a Gundam EVOLVE perspective (assuming you guys watched all the episodes), this statement holds true.

Why? Consider this: Going on the premise that the EVOLVE shorts represent a good chunk of the Gundam universe, out of the 2 SEED EVOLVE shorts, the main SEED short was about the Strike being bad-ass and fucking shit up for its enemies (not that there's a problem). No, they didn't decide to explore the angst and internal conflict Kira Yamato (or any SEED character, really) went through (like they did for EVOLVE 1), or the political after-effects of the O.M.N.I vs. ZAFT war (the same way they explored the mental states of people after the One-Year-War in EVOLVE 12), nor even just a regular quick mission that the Strike had to carry out in an average day on the Archangel (like the ZZ in EVOLVE 10).

      No.

It was a fucking gorgeous robot blowing shit up like a fucking ninja. In terms of plot, even EVOLVE 14 (Gundam SD) had more plot than EVOLVE 8.

This brings me to an important point that a lot of people don't consider when forming their arguments within the fanbase: Assuming the extreme that all 15 shorts reflect the franchise as a whole, from the amount of content in those 15 shorts of EVOLVE, one can state that there are more U.C shorts (10 out of 15) than SEED shorts (2 out of 15). Does this mean one is better than the other? Of course not. We can say both U.C and SEED focus on plot and politics - U.C more so than SEED - but it's apparent that SEED, with its over-the-top action and the way it moves ninja-like compared to U.C, has brought out the best in the action part of the Gundam experience. It's like if I get tired of the politics in Zeta, I'll just go watch some action in SEED.

As a U.C fan I say this: Be proud, SEED fans. Your PG Astray moves and looks more ninja-like than the U.C line and is ultimately what made Gundam even more fun.

  3. This is the standard Blue Frame, right? The very first form of it?

BTW Strike, Sky Grasper, Strike Rogue, Red Frame, Strike Freedom, and now Blue Frame. Whoa, so many PGs from SEED. No wonder that hater curses SEED all the time >_<

    1. Because PG Strike Gundam is one of the greatest kits ever made. And also, its frame is versatile as fuck.

      Delete
    2. yep thats true. . . strike gundam . . . only that one. . .
the other seed PG just a garbage

      Delete
    3. Don't forget MK-II, mate. That's also a good PG IMO. But you're right. Talk about PG, Strike is the best.

      Delete
    4. MK II, yeah with that kind of hell inner frame detail, it's one of the best PG ever made
but in these 7 years there's no great PG beside strike * sight....

      Delete
    5. All wrong. Cuz bandai can just simply reuse the molds made for strike. Red frame is 60% or more, made from Mold of strike

      Delete
    6. Strike Rouge is just a recolor, so is Blue Frame (with the addition of a cannon and online exclusive status).

So the actual number of PG molds from SEED is 4, and yes, still a lot relatively.

    2. ar u stupid ? taste ? don't make me laugh can't u see thats just ARF in blue color
nothing like ABF one bit !!!!!

      Delete
    3. I can feel his feelings. It must be very painful for him to see the reality that bandai indulged seed's fans with the release of many seed related products.

      Delete
    4. would be better if they release ABF 2nd L revise PG, rather than this recycle junk -_______-

      Delete
    5. @ Anon 9:13

It does, the whole thing is ABF just this is the first version of ABF and it is completely the same as ARF and AGoldF

      Delete
    6. lol.. bandai only doing re-color the red frame into blue. you could do your own customization by re-paint the red frame into blue frame. so next PG would be gold frame or green frame.. Geez... such a waste. is it bandai out of budget to create a PG? I wish to see gundam X or turn A gundam as PG.

      Delete
  5. The laziest PG possible. They could have at least made the Second L out of it and made it a unique kit.

    ReplyDelete

    1. totally support this

      Delete
    2. But the thought of a giant buster sword scares me. It was already as heavy as heck with the MG, imagine the detail and weight of the PG............ Lazy in bandai's part, but still glad they did this..... ^_^

      Delete
  6. we need the tactical arms u damn bandai -___-
thats just ARF with blue color, nothing new beside those bazooka fuck !!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  7. A blue colored ARF + bazooka? Very smart, bandai, very smart...

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Well in all technicality The first 3 Astrays (Red Blue And Gold) were aesthetically the same, bare the equipment they may have snatched escaping Heliopolis. Customizations down the road were just that, Down the road.

But I can totally agree, they should have included the Tactical Arms. Knowing Bandai it'll be a separate P-Bandai exclusive later on.

  8. I guess PG isn't dead, but it's come to Astray palette swaps, it may as well be...

  9. I've read a comment somewhere in GG about how limited kits have writings on gold background on the label. I noticed that in those photos above, too. CMIIW.

but now ? yay another crap PG from crap series ~~~

      Delete
    2. Sazabi in PG??? LOL as much as I love that thing, it will NEVER gets a PG treatment, pretty much the same reason why Kshatryia will never gets a MG.
Astray is a crap PG? It's one of the best PG ever made up withe Strike. cry all you want it's still the best

    3. to Anon oct 13 9:32

Astray one of the best PG ?? pfffttt how long u have been know about gundam dude ?
the only PG get the title of best was Strike, MK II, GP01, and 00 raiser, and here u starts bithcing about astray ? are u fucking kidding me ? the inner mold even copying strike and even has minus mobility compare to strike, and the detailing only great at the ex armor frame, compare the other UC PG where universe did u hear it was one of the best PG ? pffftttt. . . . LOL 8D

      Delete
    4. so true, astray only get their best title in Master Grade series, nevr heard it, if it was one of the best PG

      Delete
  11. ...I'd of bought it if it was a plated gold frame since I lack any pg's.

A shame really, but remember people, bandai's pg series is just a test bed for mg advances, a pg unicorn now would be useless as they got it as perfect as they could (despite crap legs and stability issues) plus cost is a big factor...

Why I think this about the unicorn is because...well they made the mg THEN the hg which was fairly stable despite rubbish legs on all variations, I lack the time to research previous releases of pg's to their mg/hg counter parts...

A pg age 1 would be more reasonable, but due to a lack of popularity+nothing to really trial that won't happen, any new pg's would be of a newer series that does something mind blowing that they can't try on a mg...

Although if they wanted to really push, a pg kshatriya that fixes the binder issues, so the mg would be magnificent, but no one could afford it thus it'd fail XD

  15. bandai: let's make another PG!
intern: how about a blue recolor of an existing red frame PG and market it as the Blue frame PG!
intern is now a marketing manager.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Yup. Whoring out Astray now, and on top of that, making them ALL Bandai Exclusives. Seriously, Bandai? I swear they are really scraping at the bottom of the barrel. This is pathetic. More pathetic than the MG Red Frame and Astray Noir. Just....no. Ugh. I like Seed MS but it's time they DIAL Seed waaaay back.

    1. With the way Bandai has been going crazy with frivolous exclusives, I don't doubt it one bit. The only way this could get sold is exclusive. LOL

  21. let's demand it in bootleg pffftt

    ReplyDelete
  22. Not worth it to me. And I love the Astray units. Noting buying a second red frame kit, some paint, and making some custom decals can't do.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Wow so many negative comments. Maybe bandai should just stop pg series if you are all so ungrateful. Or maybe you all should just make your own pg blue frame if you think you all can do so much better. Don't like it? Dont buy it. Bandai can produce whatever they want. Im just sick and tired of reading negativity where ever I go.

  24. Does anyone realize that this is P-Bandai Hobby Online Exclusive? It's not a massed produced model kit; stop whining. They are simply putting this in production for the people that care. So if you don't care to buy, regardless if you hate SEED or not, then don't try to get it.

  25. This is what should be an online exclusive, not the ReBawoo or Crossbone X3.

  27. There are so many gundams Bandai can make perfect grades from like unicorn, nu, exia, gouf custom, sazabi, heck maybe grunts would make good perfect grades. Bandai should really stop making seed perfect grades after seeing this blue frame, it really gives me facepalms seeing this.
