  2. Except that it's holding the rifle backwards. It's got the right side in the left hand and the left side in the right hand. GG Bandai!

  4. That Zero has won me over. It looks awesome in that pose and a plus for me is that it can hold its rifle and shield on the same arm without it getting in the way. I'm still going to put the old Zero wings on it, though.

    1. The picture has been stolen off Gaijin Gunpla's facebook page, so hopefully he will put more pics up.

  8. I was hoping that the hand will be like the Nu ver KA. I was wrong :(

    1. Do you not understand scale? Designs from the Wing series are much smaller than the Nu Ver.Ka so it would look stupid to have such large hands on the kit.
Why did you think this would be any different from the other wing kits?

    2. I think he meant that he thought the hands would be the emotion manipulators.

    3. I think the point is that the emotion manipulators would be really impractical at that sort of scale, imagine how fidgety it would get at that sort of size.

    4. dumbass anon 5:14 AM

it was implying that it would come with the NU ver ka type of manipulators but of course scaled to the proportions of the proto zero..

      you sir get a "dumbs-up"

  9. I won't lie, I was pretty sceptical about this one. I was hoping for a 'real' TV Wing Zero. But I must say, this one has grown on me. It looks great. Might have to get one.

  12. I still can't stand those binders. I love everything else Katoki has done with the design, but Okawara's binders were a work of art. These..jagged...things...are just plain fugly. I wonder if someone will make a cover kit?

    1. Actually, the cockpit is another thing I didn't like. It's fine in mobile suit mode and all, but in Neo Bird Mode having the cockpit there makes the cockpit pretty much inaccessible. It made more sense to be in the lower chest. Odd & Even Numbers even showed Heero egressing while it was in Neo Bird Mode... it just wouldn't work out if the hatch is on top of the torso like Katoki did it. Sadly I don't think that can be changed...

Guess it's time to wait a few more years for Bandai to release Okawara's design. How many years were there between Wing verKa and Wing verOkawara?

    2. The Wing Zero Custom does has a lower cockpit escape hatch as seen in Endless Waltz. It's likely this version has both upper and lower cockpit hatches as well.

    3. Lets hope so. It'd be weird bringing the cockpit in neo bird mode with it facing perpendicular

  13. i found a new wallpaper for my phone and it that badass head shot of wing zero

  14. Looks so BAD !!!
The legs should be more bulkier !
Bandai just used the molds of the wing zero custom !
Look at the Robot Spirit version, it is so accurate
I say skip this one guys till a ver.ka one comes out or a perhaps a metal build one.

    1. Actually this is more or less the Ver.Ka, since it's the original Wing Zero as redesigned by Katoki without going into complete overhaul like the Endless Waltz version. Also, the Robot Spirits version represents the "true" Okawara Wing Zero, while this one represents the "Proto" Wing Zero for use in the Glory of The Losers manga.

  15. I've read some comments before on /m/ that Wing Zero Custom might possibly have a Neo Bird Mode if we are to believe that Proto Zero will eventually become Zero Custom in Glory of the Losers manga. Would that be an excuse to 'retcon' a new Zero Custom with a Neo Bird Mode in the form of a brand new MG 2.0?

  16. There might NEVER be an MG of the Okawara Version. Or any of the other Gundams. With the way BANDAI is loving Katoki's redesigns, these new EW versions not only refers to the manga, but will probably go on to be the new "Official" designs.

They're probably going for Katoki's designs more since they're more...modern looking than the TV Versions.
So if you want the TV versions, go for the Robot Damashiis.

    1. MG wing tv already exists.. and since bandai loves re using molds.. they could easily release wing zero okawara as an online shop exclusive..

      Delete
    2. ^lol online shop exclusives typically don't involve completely new armor, dumbass

  17. Anime version is boring, people want it just for nostalgia sake. Deal with it

    1. GMs are boring. Anime Zero is not. Other than that clarification, I agree... even though I want a TV version. This is a great looking updated Zero. The wings are another story.

  18. Oh my god, the kit actually covers the head in neo bird mode.
