RG 1/144 RX-78GP02A Gundam "Physalis" is hinted to be an upcoming RG gunpla kit.

RG 1/144 RX-78GP02A Gundam "Physalis" is hinted to be an upcoming RG gunpla kit.
A little snippet of info from this month's hobby magazine.
Although not entirely surprise that the GP02 Gundam 'Physalis' will get the RG treatment, but is nice to know that it is in the plan. Really looking forward to this.

    2. I dont think they forgot maybe they were labeled as rg but they could very well be 3.0 line art which if it is give me that ground gundam in 1/100

    3. Why everyone thinks this image is an announcement? It clearly says 1) "*TEST* pattern" 2) date on the image is 2009-2010. There is no plan. This is just a pre-production sketch.

    4. ^ The thing is that they were under consideration, therefore seems that their development/announcement would've been more of a priority than GP02A or Strike Freedom.

    5. Considering that was 4 years ago, it would've been a priority before many other RG kits. So, since we're 12 kits and 3 years into the line, we can forget about these.

  3. Thank you! Been wanting some new RG info other than the GP01 coming out. Also love the pic of the test RGs. Hopefully they will drop a bunch of UCs at once

  5. Gg please hire people who can read japanese, its not a hint for a gp02 rg at all.

    1. My Japanese isn't that good, but it seems to be saying that GP02 gets a new drawing from this artist who also did GP01 (which is going to be released as RG).
      Something along that line...?

  6. You know, I've never had a problem with the watermarks before this one. Not only is it blocking some possibly important text, but it's also highlighted... WHY IS THAT NECESSARY!? This is the one and only time that I wouldn't mind the "Screw the Watermark" guy showing up.

  7. I guess you can't have the heroes without the villains.

    1. Gato is not a villain, he is Solid Snake !!!

Hope they can sell a color variation of Foxhound or water slide of MSF :D

    1. I don't know. I have my doubts about the validity of the RG Strike Freedom "announcement." Although, I have equal doubts about this one as well. Until i see a prototype or an official illustration in a hobby mag, then I'll believe them.

    2. It has to be RG strike freedom, its release will be in regards to remastered Seed Destiny.

I had same doubts about RG Zeta's release.

    3. We did get a RG in regards to SeeD Destiny, the Destiny itself. So it still is up in the air.

  9. Screw the watermarks! Hope gginfinite folds up.

  10. I highly doubt the gp03 is getting a RG. So far they haven't released any villain MS yet barring the Zaku II. The GP03 wouldn't be the place to start either as its not iconic enough. Something from Zeta/ZZ like The O or the Quebley would be a good place to start after the OYW because the next major war would be CCA.

    1. Yeah, Qubeley is a no-brainer. It's weird they haven't done it yet.
As to non-villain MSes, RG Hyaku Shiki when, Bandai? And no, HG Delta isn't an acceptable replacement

    2. Actually the RX-178 Titans color could be considered a bad guy MS...

  11. Me want Nu Gundam.

    1. That would be cool but I doubt we will get it any time soon. So far the RG line has been sticking to a consistent MS size between all of the different kits. A Nu Gundam would require a bigger internal frame.

  12. i guess it is almost time for me to buy my second RG!

  13. Still hoping for that PG GP-02.

    1. Good luck with that. A PG GP-02 would have so much plastic that it would cost $500 USD MINIMUM.

  14. Dammit, GG, this is talking about a new 0083 manga that the GP01 and GP02 are appearing in. It just mentions that the GP01 has an RG release coming out.

    1. Agree, the picture does not mention any hints of a RG GP02.

  15. How about Rg 00 Gundam Seven Sword/G + RG 0 Raiser (+GN Sword III) although waiting or a long time for release? (like RG Aile Strike + RG Skygrasper with 2 striker packs)

  16. Hmmm... Solid Snake's Gundam in RG... Might be interesting...
