I think they used blue frame second L as a base because if they used old HG, they don't have to remake backpack, feet, garbera straight, the body and shield. The test model is just reprint of blue frame second L but with color red. (And baque head beam saber, because why not?)
The arms and fists looks like those from the old HG. Still need to paint in the white. The sword has a new one new line along the blade and the sheath looks the same.
Thinner v-fins. The legs are new, theres new red parts for the vents near the kness. The knee guard is more rounded. Added twist articulation at the leg-to-hip. Hope the ankle has better range of movement.
Looks like there less red to paint for this rendition of the HG Astray.
Care to explain WHY SEED sucks, SeedSucksIt? FYI, "Because the characters are/look like fags" "The mechs look faggy" or "Because everyone who likes SEED are fags" are NOT acceptable arguments.

Personally i kinda agree with you SeedSucksIt that those are the reasons why seed was not a hit with everyone. However i think the music and ms designs are pretty decent don't you think? If they decide to make a seed astray anime without screwing it up would you consider watching it cos its got great potential.
Four, possibly five colors molded, actually. Red, white, black/dark brown, and light gray, and the Gerbera Straight might be plated in either a dull silver or chromed. The sword's sheath, hilt, and guard are likely going to need some gold paint, and there should be some (possibly metallic) orange at the "tip" of the sheath, and the trademark "LOWE" Junk Guild decal/sticker should add some yellow and dark gray. So, if you put some work into it, the Red Frame has nine colors, and that's not counting the BuCue head, I have no idea if that's gonna be molded in seperate dark blue/purple and gray colors, or if it'll just be molded in white or light gray.
Oh man, this is awesome! I can't wait to get this and the Blue Frame Second L together.

Thank Goodness I didn't buy the first-run Red Frame... I was hoping for the upgraded mod but this is cool enough.
