DeleteIn the TV series, Char's Gelgoog's naginata does have metal blades during it's first battle in Texas Colony. I believe it was Episode 38 (37 in the US). The yellow beam blades were only added to Movie III so that they could recycle footage from the battle with the Gyan.
ReplyDeleteYou are correct, but only for the ground battle. By episode 41 in space the gelgoog already has the beam naginata.
