  1. Bandai please give him those ver.ka nu hands.

  2. Can't wait to see the painted prototype of this guy. One of the coolest grunts

It would be nice if it had the Nu Ver Ka hands. But really, I'd settle for the 2.0 hands or the standard master grade three, one, and thumb hands. Just don't give us those parts swapping hands

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. why? part swapping hands is more reliable & more durable for posing
just how many moving arms that work properly anyway, if said weapon goes above 15cm, where part swapping allows as heavy or long it is, as long the weapon handle has slot for hand nubs insertion

  3. It says in the ad that it has nu gundam ver ka style hands

    1. That'd be pretty awesome if it's true. Either way, as long as it doesn't have those parts swapping hands I'd still get this model instantly

  4. IT DOES HAVE THE NEW HANDS.

    1. Which means..... Higher probability for the new MG Jegan to have the new hands.... Yeaahhhh!!!!

    2. There is a a MG Jegan coming out?

  5. guys be patient. the MG jesta cannon's bound to come out sooner or later after this. Just like the rezel commander after the rezel.

    1. DAMN!!!!!!!! if that is true, imm gonna have to skip on the HGUC jesta cannon and buy the MG version instead

      Delete
    2. Why skip when you can buy BOTH?

  6. Uhh, what's that censored/ pixelated image on the right side of the picture?

    1. I'm assuming boxart. If it is boxart, the amount of white is making me quite nervous about this being a ver.ka.

    2. It's just product details, like in this example:

  8. It's probably safe to say now that ALL MG UC that will be released from this day forward, will have the new Manipulators that the Nu Ver. Ka .

Theres a large chance, almost 100% that we'll see a MG jesta cannon in the near future. I just hope they continue making MSVs too in the MG line.

  9. I think it could look better if they could somehow trim those leg proportions. too thin and too tall. hope they follow the boxart.

    1. they do that with most MGs.

    2. Yes and No. This particular style is with master grades designed by Katoki. By this style I mean small and slim torso/arms, and long skinny legs. This style looks good on smaller kits like the Gundams from Wing. But on these tall universal century kits I don't really like the way it looks.

It looks good in pictures, but when you hold the kit in real life it looks freaky and takes some getting used to.

But with all newer master grades they are slightly stretched vertically, which usually results in better looking proportions and a more stylish look. The new MG HD Strike is a good example of this.

I agree with Miguel. The Katoki leg proportions are just too thin and tall for my tastes

      Delete
  10. they better do something clever with the legs to make them bend over 90 degrees. also it would be nice if the 3 ammo packs on the right arm are separated and interchangeable with the one in the gun

    1. i second that motion, a master MG improve on the HG... i'm looking at you unicorn

  11. Still no prototype image, hmm?

  12. Y the knee feel like it can go destroy mode?

    ReplyDelete
  13. I wonder if this means Bandai will start making the Jegan and its variants. My thoughts aside, the prototype looks nice.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I think they can actually make a Jegan (long overdue actually) though I'm not sure about its variants. Most likely well get either the Normal Jegan or the Stark Jegan. But both? I don't know....unless one of them becomes an online exclusive.

  14. Finally! A prototype. And what's that? Hand manipulators like from AGE?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. hahaha, no, they're the same manipulators as the Nu Ver Ka

I usually don't care for prototypes, but this one looks really nice

      Delete
    2. Age hands? Are you blind?
      Those are Nu Ver.Ka hands.

    3. Blind? My eyes may be blurry but NOT blind. Know the difference brother.

    1. LED looks good, not that I would use it but it still looks good.

      Delete
  18. Is the LED unit included?

    ReplyDelete
  19. The Jesta really does not need an LED, its nice, but its not necessary.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I think this is a good time to use one. Usually we get LED for suits with gundam eyes and mono eyes, which are small and you barely see them. But GM type suits have much bigger visors, which probably means the LED will be much more effective.

Now if Bandai would stop selling crappy LEDs, we'd be set

Looking forward to seeing how it stacks up

  20. This will be my first non-Ver Ka kit of the year and I'm glad I wouldn't have to worry about the decals. It's looking really nice considering it's a mass-produced suit. The gimmicks are there and the specs of the suit seem ok. Just wondering though, Bandai uses clear plastic for the spherical psycofrme cockpits. I wonder if this one will be solid plastic (because it isn't psycoframe).

    1. Its practically a Ver.Ka kit. Its a Katoki design and he is involved with the kits development. In fact he works on most gunpla releases these days in one way or another.
They just choose not to call every kit a Ver.Ka, only the ones he has done a lot of work for.

      Delete
    2. Let's just say that I wouldn't have to worry about those decals for the first time this year. :P

  21. I don't know but that Jesta looks bulky. Is it really bulky in OVA?

    ReplyDelete
  22. sorry to say this but it looks a little underwhelming for a MG.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. agreed. articulation is awesome, nu hands, led gimmick, but still something is wrong. proportion? details? idk

  23. Sorry, but this is sexy. The colors, the box art, poses, articulation in the shield, it all looks good. Plus the Nu hands

    Proper kneeling pose FTW!
I was very worried about that huge calf hindering the leg movement at the beginning.

  26. MG jesta cannon w/ EWAC jesta parts

  27. I'm really worried :(
That looks like a hip joint built into the thigh...

  28. I hope that they release the hovercraft thing that it was shown on way back when they first showed images of the Jesta during early Unicorn.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Wait till MG Jesta Canon with base jabber release just like bandai do with rezel defenser unit...
I know it!!! you try to trolling us bandai!!!

  30. For a spec ops Jegan, this thing looks really good, I had underestimated it and thought "meh it will have crappy colors like the Banshee", how wrong I was.

Now if they only would make the Jesta Cannon as an MG it would be awesome.

  31. Remember when a GM-type MG kits cost less than 3000yen?

    Pepperridge Farm remembers.

**** Japan, no, Capitalism, for making everything more expensive these days.

    1. Remember when milk was $0.25? Pepperidge Farm remembers too.

It's called economics. Ever heard of it? As things get better, cost will go up along side. Just how advanced were those MG GMs? Sure they were the **** like 10 years ago, but Bandai can do things much better now. Prices are ALWAYS destined to go up because the quality of everything ALWAYS follows in a linear fashion. Minimum wage used to be about $4 during the 1940's. Its now around $8. Ice cream used to be maybe $0.02 in the '40s. Now they are ~$1 or more (give or take).

If you are against improvement in the quality of life overall, you might as well go and be extinct. Newton's 1st Law, every action has an equal opposite reaction. This ain't Burger King. You can't have it your way. So suck it up and stop whining like a little b*tch.

    2. to be fair, usd-to-jpy rates are the highest they've been in years.

    3. Gundam kits are not a necessity. If you can't afford don't buy it. It's that simply. If you are a American, our country has bigger problems then this. Don't you think gas prices being $4 and up is more important because it effects everything in our lives. Fuel prices is something too bitch about since we need it too survive, unlike a model kit. Get your head out of your ass

      Delete
    4. yes it's true model kits are not a necessity, for example i will never spend much money on kits if i have bigger priority...but it's also true that making a gunpla,it's one of the good ways to relax, forget for a while daily problems, and spend our time on a creative activity...in other word it's a good way to be happy for me....and after a lot of work i'm always proud of something that looks like how i want it to be!

    2. Exactly! If you have $100 to blow on a Bandai model kit, surely you can spare 16 bucks to support an excellent product on home territory.
