Some one used photoshop to add colors on the prototype image to get a glimpse of what the final product might look like.  Not too bad at all.

  4. About time, haven't really been that enthralled with the last few non-wing damashii's...

  5. Let me guess, they're announcing a ZZ instead of a Zeta Robot Damashii so that it won't affect sales of the Real Grade Zeta. Bah...

    1. No you fucking dumbass. Did you not see how the RD Tallgeese 1 is coming out around the same time as the MG?

  6. Is it transformable though? Or will they do a 2nd version that is transformable...similar to what they did with the RX-78 and on the second time gave it the hard connecting points?

    1. It is clearly not transformable. The photos are detailed enough to show that plainly.

  7. It's kinda interesting that they made the AGE-1...but they don't have plans to make the AGE-3 since they're releasing the ZZ Gundam.

On the other hand, while some don't like ZZ Gundam, I like the bulky design and I would like to get this figure.

    1. I like how this guy's lower abdomen are skinnier though. That alone makes this RD aesthetically more pleasing to the eyes than the model kits imo.

  8. Those open hands are the same exact ones the SCM-EX RX-78-2 have. Awesome; I love how those hands are molded.

    1. @Anon (Oct. 1, 7:18 AM):

It'll fight Gundam, Wing Gundam/Zero ver. EW, Aile Strike Gundam, Sinanju, Nu Gundam, Turn A Gundam, Kapool, Leo, Zaku II, and so on... Just like it has in various Gundam Games, whether it be the Super Robot Taisen series, Gundam vs. series, SD Gundam Capsule Fighter, etc.

As far as in-series grunts and antagonist units go, you have a point. Outside of HGUC (plus a couple here and there in MG and GFF form), there haven't been much on the order of releases. I personally don't know if it's because of a lack of popularity (which I would believe to be why the RD Borjarnon and RD Earth Militia-use WaD were never released), anniversaries having yet to come up, or some other reason.

But consider that some of the RDs (mainly in the Ka Signature lineup) include Katoki-redesigned (or touched up) units from Unicorn that actually originate from ZZ, so if you're looking for some units to pair ZZ up with, there you go. (Or get an RD Kapool, even if it is the green TAG version.)
