No offense but this thing is hideous. It's a good show of the modeler's skill but it's literally the epitome of "kibbles and bits" design ideology. Just exposed mechanisms and random plating everywhere. It makes no sense.
I didn't make this thing, so i can't take offense, but just think about it. it's hard to put your own stamp on Gundam when there are literally thousands of customs out there. When you see one of these you think "ver. ed" end of story. Sometimes a signature is as important as the document.
People on Gundam guy dont know and can't tell the difference between good and bad kits here. I've seen so many kits that were featured here where people would call them "amazing" "awesome" when they are actually really terrible in skill and in design.
The skill here showed by Eday is top notch pro. His design though is beautiful. To people who say the design is bad, I say you people dont know what design is. It may look like he placed pla plate anywhere and everywhere but he didn't. The design is very well planed out. His "kibbles and bits" design is actually well though out and not just random. Hell the most random pla plating and hideous kits here get more praise than Eday's. Its something i can't quite understand.
I agree here though. It shows his experience in modding and design, but when mods like this is taken to the extreme, it's no longer gunpla. That ReZel fits more in the Armored Core universe than it does Gundam at this point.
me like
ReplyDeleteDoes it have any form of articulation?

Are you even a modeler?

DeleteYour god-like modeling abilities make us mortals look bad. It doesn't have to make sense, just sit back and enjoy this work of art.
ReplyDeleteReminds me a bit of the Terran Powered Armor from StarCraft (especially the waist and shoulders). Not a bad thing.
