nah. since we don't see the funnels taken out, I doubt it. I tried using fiber optics on my MG The-O before and i only used it for certain areas (such as the eye, cockpit, and vents on the chest). Too thin and not enough light output. Too thick and it doesn't bend in ways you want it to. For the funnels, it's easier to just drill them thru and place a red LED in there somewhere that emits light to all the funnels. Maybe 2-3 SMDs will light up the funnels on each side. You can see some light leakage that confirms this.
And from the looks it seems it is powered by usb cord which is nice! I shoulda thought of that on my O but i wanted it portable so I crafted a battery compartment in its backpack, though I reckon the usb power makes the lights even brighter from the higher voltage.
it's actually pretty easy to wire leds into a model, just needs some planning and some soldering. For tricky hard to reach places you can even glue some SMD into an area and use liquid solder to "wire" it to your circuit, though that SMD won't be as bright due to resistance.
I've always wanted a kshatriya but I'm crossing my fingers hoping for an MG release. =T
oh forgot to mention. you can easily light up sinanju's eyes using fiber optics and putting the LED in the backpack area (which would in turn also light up the engines in the wings)
Unbelievable!!! That´s one Masterpiece!
ReplyDeleteAwesome LED work! If the psychoframe cockpit lights up, it'd be perfect.
ReplyDeleteI bet those funnels are fiber optics.

DeleteI doubt there will be a MG Kshatriya. It's already as tall as some MG's right now. In MG it would be a hell of an unstable monster.
DeleteBtw this one is perfect. Congratulations for the author <3
