In the Origin continuity, Guncannons and Guntanks already exist as mobile weapons used by the feddies and by the event of Origin, they are terribly outdated. Most liekly, there were some guncannons and their weapons still in service to side 3 and they wanted to use already available weapon on a test suit for convenience. Thus ends my nerd monologue.
