those golden parts will leave bad nub marks after you cut from the runner... any trick to hide those marks? (other than painting the whole part of course)
$15 on paint? with that plus the cost of the delta plus, you're not even saving that much money. Besides, that's not the delta gundam, that's just a gold delta plus. There are some significant armor differences.
@anonymous feb 26, 2012 01:35PM - yes there is little price difference between painting a delta plus and getting this model, but I think he meant that when you cut the "special" gold pieces from the runners, you are still left with nub marks even if bandai made every piece undergated - this sometimes can detract from a complete model. I prefer the painting method, but, everyone's opinion is different. Besides, the only "significant" physical difference in appearance between the delta plus and delta gundam is the waverider mode.
I'm pretty sure cost was the point he was trying to get across but whatever. If you prefer painting, fine by me. However, I've got a picture of the HGUC Delta Plus right next to this image of the Delta Gundam. Only things I can see that are extremely similar/look the same are the legs and the lower ab section. Right at first glance, the shoulders were much more traditional on the Delta Gundam, it had normal size skirts (the front being from the Hyaku Shiki), there is a split section of armor on the cockpit, weapons are very different, there are no different-colored squares on the Delta Gundam's binders, the head is much sharper, lower arms are taken from the Hyaku Shiki (though i guess it should be the other way around). Also, in general, there are less panel lines than on the Delta Plus. You may think they are practically the same, but the armor is basically all new.
I heard the model comes with some DLC for the upcoming Gundam UC PS3 game.
ReplyDeletedelta gundam code will be with first press copys of the game. can't wait

ReplyDeletedude its undergate on the gold parts
Deletehi, can you explain what's "undergate" ?
DeleteThe parts are designed so that the connections to the runners are on the backs, so that there should be a minimum of visible scars.
DeleteThis is an example of undergates from the old HGUC Hyaku-Shiki.

i tought that the gold plate was going to be "not shiny" like the MG hyaku shiki HD version
ReplyDeleteIt won't cost 4410 if it's not shiny.
Deletewhy not spend 15 dollars on golden paint and clear yellow tamiya paint, then paint a hg delta plus? geez people, you can save money this way....
