Friday's online Nintendo Direct presentation revealed that Lost Heroes — the launch of a new game series in Banpresto's Compatible Hero crossover franchise — will ship for the Nintendo 3DS handheld system in Japan next year. The hero dungeon role-playing game will feature the "dream" collaboration of Ultraman, Kamen Rider, and Gundam (in particular, Nu Gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack). The three join forces against an "invasion of despair."
The Compatible Hero franchise launched with the Famicom game SD Battle Ōzumō: Heisei Hero Basho in 1990, and continued through various game systems and various genres, including 2003's Charinko Hero for the GameCube console.
