  2. Wow WTF.
So Bandai puts out this guy in HG... It's like the Dendrobium; forever denied the glorious MG master race!

    ¥25,000 = $244.57 (US Dollars)

No thanks Bandai. No HG is worth that much money; the cost of like 2 PGs, about 5 MGs.... Yea.
Pass. I doubt this guy would sell very well. I don't know why Bandai does stupid shit like this all the time. I mean I'm sure people who only buy HG or are really really super super hardcore Unicorn fans will get this, but I'll pass.

Besides, I'm pretty sure the Neo Zeong mobile armor will get destroyed quickly and then Unicorn/Banshee will duke it out against the Sinaju probably destroying each other and ending the Unicorn anime or something cliche like that.

    1. Really? You make no sense good sir.

    2. No, the stupid thing to do would be to make this guy a MG.

This will likely sell very well.

This is the price of 1 PG unless you're talking the Zakus from like 15 years ago. Recent PG are 250-400.

It's about time we got another very large model, it's been ages since Dendrobium.

    3. Dendrobium Is in the same price
range. And I m guessing u don't get the idea of scale modeling.
And we all know banagher links will win, but we want to see how.

      Delete
    4. It's 3 fucking feet tall. I'd say it's worth far more than $250, considering the PG Strike Freedom is the same exact price.

    5. You must have a really big display case if you wanna see this guy in MG. Really stupid thought man.

    6. Personally I like the 1/144 because you can get 2 or 3 kits for the same price as 1 mg. Also you have more options that aren't made in mg and a little modeling can make an hg look just as good if not better than its mg counterparts. The inner frame is nice but that's what rg was made for and the level of detail shows that the 1/144 scale Is the way of the future. Personally I can't wait for unicorn to go rg. An rg neo zeong!!!!! I'd pay $600 make it exclusive with an rg sinanju and it's game over for me and any die hard modeler. 1/100 scale is nice and all but more often than not I feel as though I could have had much more fun with the 1/144s. Also display space at a premium I can fit 3 hg kits in the space of 2 mg kits on my shelf. I don't really care for an mg inner frame either because only myself and other true modelers know the intricacies that took place in its construction. If anything rg will replace hg in the next 5 to 10 years. Remember the 1/100 pre mg kits they were scaled up 1/144s. I still have my pg eva01, mgs now are so much better in construction.
So yes I'm an advocate for hg and rg, and from a practical stand point kit bashing is way easier, but I do like the features of mg and wish they were made into rg more often.

    7. @Harold jackson. Suiton, I really wonder how you're coming up with all these alternate names , just so you can pass yourself as someone else, and make a very poor job of it... You must have a lot of time on your hands and have like zero friends and ppl who like you, to go to these extents, just to get attention. how sad, really
      Keep fooling yourself

    1. So. . . There is clearly a Sinanju in there. . . Its the RED suit sitting there. The thing that isn't white. The HGUC Sinanju. It is part of the package. And the stand is as well.

Yes it will be included. They wouldn't release it without the Sinanju. And they wouldn't advertise it with the Sinanju if they weren't going to include it.

  6. Damn. Can't wait to see it in action so we can find out what it's gimmicks are!

I think it'll look much cooler with the fuel tanks ejected. And of course it'll be 3 times cooler after watching episode 7

  7. Finaly a prototype this is awesome! Its even bigger than I thought it would be. and much more detailed than i expected.

  8. I'm curious, previous post said it was 27,000 Yen, this one says 25,000. Which is it?

    ReplyDelete

    1. 27000 yen is written on the page of the mag. Since the price they wrote on the mag is tax included, then 27000 yen = basic price + 8% tax. Hence the 25000 yen basic price. CMIIW anyone.

    2. 25,000 yen. 27,000 if you live in Japan (8% sales tax)

I wonder if this is bigger than the mega scale gunplas...

  23. Why is this possible but not MG Kshatriya? Not complaining or anything.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Cos Neo Zeong is HG and are mostly hallow and less details inside. That's why they can make it so big. If it's MG, they'll need to include all the details of the inner frame and all that which will add on more weight to it.

      Delete
    2. Apparently the weight of Kshatriyas binders is the main issue and the fact that they'll probably weigh as much as the main body

      Delete
    3. I think it's because of the wings. They are just too heavy for joints to hold up considering the master grade would have to incorporate inner frame into the wings.

That's the last thing we heard about it. But as far as we know, there may have been some big break through and now in is possible. Price was a problem as well, but looking at this, at the very least price shouldn't be a problem anymore.

      Delete
    4. The wings/binders would be too heavy. The connection will not be able to hold it well. They are large as hell, carries funnels, detailed, and would have an inner frame. Too heavy.

      Delete
    5. I'm assuming because the Kshatriya still requires alot of moving parts with an inner frame that will most likely require die cast metal parts as there is no way around the heavy wing pods. With large MGs like FA Unicorn Gundam having stability issues to the point that it's essentially displayed as a fixed posed kit, I'd imagine Kshatriya would have a plethora of stability problems. I think Bandai is still working on a way of making the kit stable through better engineering designs. I don't think The MG Kshatriya is impossible but something that would require new ways of approaching the design that Bandai just hasn't figured out yet so we just have to be patient. Comparing this HG Neo Zeong to the MG Kshatriya is a bit inaccurate. I mean sure the HG Neo Zeong is big , there's no denying that, but I doubt it will be very complicated. I'd imagine that there are alot of huge parts already on the runners and alot of pieces being hollow. Not to mention it's probably not going to have alot of movement besides it's arms and possibly whatever is going on with it's back. This is definitely not going to be the most articulate kit and is essentially designed to be a statue so I don't think alot of new engineering was put into this kit. No new innovations are needed for this kit and since it is essentially going to be a statue-like with very little articulation there are no issues of stability with this kit.

      Delete
    6. Sadly a mg kashatriya would be to heavy for the kit and it will cause damage in the joints

      Delete
    7. Metal part will not fix any weight issue at all. Old Nu Gundam use it and its doesnt fix weight issue. I think sturdy ABS joint with screw will fix overall weight issue, dont use ball joint at all on binders or it will become awful mess. Also use Sinanju stein waist engineering on it and we ready to go

      Delete
    8. MG Kshatriya is very possible. If Bandai can make/release MG EX-S Gundam in 2003. How can they not have tech to design MG Kshatriya more than 10 years later? Maybe 2015 for the 20th anniversary of the MG line, or maybe even 2020. Bandai likes to make you wait.

      Delete
    9. I recently assembled the ELYN HOBBY 1/100 NZ-666 Kshatriya and I'll tell you first hand the issues with a 1/100 Kshatriya. firstly the binders are heavy. Were it not for the metal plugs for lighting i am sure the binder arms would have already snapped. right now i have it in an acrylic box that holds the binders from falling (or stressing) the connections joints. Bandai may use superior plastic, but the weight issue is no joke. Unless they created a fully metal skeleton to support not just the binders, but the shoulders, the torso and the legs from all the oppressive weight, there is almost no use in even trying.
trust me, the Kshatriya in 1/100 is a glorious thing... but it has its drawbacks. A fully poseable MG kshatriya only makes sense in micro gravity.

      Delete
    10. @gundamultiverse: Hey this is Anonymous at 11:33 PM, What your saying totally makes sense. Kshatriya in MG is one of those kits that might just be completely impractical due to it's design to make with the current type of plastic and plastic injection technology. What your suggesting is essentially a metal build figure of the Kshatriya like the Metal Build 00 Raiser and Destiny Gundam figures. Only issue with that is it would immediately become an expensive high end collectible figure rather than a model kit which would alienate average Gunpla fans.

@Anonymous at 10:04 PM: I never said MG Kshatriya was impossible quite the opposite actually. It can be done but not with the current approach Bandai has at their disposal. The thing with most advances in technology is that sometimes progression reaches a certain plateau. For example compare what most MGs have from 2005 to now with the Gundam 3.0. Not alot of innovation besides more gimmicks and more detail as compared to MGs from the 90s to the 2005 where it was leaps and bounds of improvement. MG Ex-S is a brick kit with a boat load of stability issues but it was still a MS that was plausible at 1/100 scale. When you get to complicated designs like the Kshatriya it's not quite as simple. It is rather a really complicated design that would also require a substantial amount of detail with the inner frame and the wing binders. The biggest issue would be how costly the kit would be to consumers and the stability of the kit. We will have to play the waiting game until Bandai has procured new approach to designing Kshatriya and making it cost effective as a die cast inner frame would easily make the MG Kshatriya more expensive than most PGs.

    11. @anon 23, 10:04
Yes they make MG Ex-S in 2003, but can it stand up properly without stand base? And was fuel tank on Ex-S's shoulder have articulation like Kshatriya's binder? That's the different and problem here. Engineering and cost production will affect the price and that's what bandai do now:: how to make solution to fix the problem of binders weight and not to affect price of the kit greatly.

  26. I hope the whole kit is sturdy... I don't wanna cry if it broke after falling hehehe (gravity hurts)

  27. I just bursted out laughing at this, it's incredible.

  28. This is definitely meant for a specific group of fans in Japan as I can't imagine average gunpla collectors going out of there way to buy this and find room in their already limited room space. I wish they made this in 1/500 scale or something so that it would have been accessible to more fans that could afford it. I'd imagine even at 1/500 scale it would still be relatively big next to other HGUC kits. The SD looks alright but I definitely prefer the proper proportions but again at a smaller more affordable scale. Well I guess it's not impossible to get some smaller scale of this thing in the future. I wonder if this kit is going to be in some limited run as I can't imagine hobby shops in Japan holding onto this kit after it's initial run. I mean wouldn't take up alot of storage space just inside their store unless it will be stored somewhere in the back and just have one out for display.

  29. So how exactly are we going to build that? O_O;;
The gimmicks better be worth it.

  30. Excuse me..... but I ordered the LARGE mobile suit.

  31. really big.. the leg-thrusters-something looks off-scale, it is a bit short, but if it was put to scale then..

kinda made me wonder where the hell did MG psycho or dendrobium go..

and wonder how BIG this'll be if it was given the MG treatment..

-still waiting for the 1/100 meteor / dendrobium-

    ReplyDelete
  32. I want to see side-by-side comparisons with the HGUC Psycho Gundam and HGUC Dendrobium, so I will know how it will look on my shelves when I get it to go along with them. My wallet cries out in agony, though, knowing it will be at LEAST $400 shipped.

  33. Too cheap. Where's the titanium finish?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Man look at that size zzzz.....

    ReplyDelete
  35. HGUC Psyco would be about as big as he fuel tanks. Dendrobiums is quite a bit longer that Nep Zeong, but it isn't nearly as tall

  40. It looks good but, uh, just give me 1/200 MG Neo Zeong please!
This thing is too big for my room!

    ReplyDelete

    1. That would be only slightly smaller and more expensive because of inner frame. Think before you post. How are you going to get a 1/200 mg sinanju that fits in there? You won't 1/200 is ng, not mg. Neo Zeong is about 80 cm at 1/144, at 1/200 your still pushing about 60 cm. USE YOUR BRAIN!!!!!

  44. If this is 86cm (~2.82 feet)
Then real scale of neo zeong would be 123.84 meters.
100 scale would be 48.75 inches; I.e. Four feet tall
