Just like the repair Exia 2 looks like the regular Exia except for a different gn blade. Shut up you unintelligent fool I'm not even going to waste my time explaining the differences between this and the stand RX 78-2 2.0. Since you know so little about UC you shouldn't even be posting on here. At least the first words out of your mouth was you complaining about stickers like a 5 yr old. O.T this would have been better if they released it as a 3.0. The 2.0 proportions just make the proto look odd. It's sad i really wanted a MG RX78-1 i guess I'll just have to buy the conversion kit for this OYW gundam instead. Hell I'll be money ahead by buying the gundam and conversion kit instead of this.
It's mostly the 2.0 mold (Having a G3 2.0 myself, I can say that it's not a bad thing), but there are subtle differences all over the place. Notably the forearms, ankle armor, asymmetrical side skirt armor, a redesigned central backskirt panel, and the beam rifle is very different.
Not really, if you actually look it's a different design compared to the original 2.0. Different waist, arms, knees, ankles, and the beam rifle is redesigned to be a prototype br. Though why would you care since you don't like UC and don't really build models?
For once you are correct, many reasons as to WHY the 2.0...
-Closer to known likeness of the msv rx-78-1 since the 2.0 is "anime accurate" -May not of been able to color separate the black portions -Cheaper to use -People may not of liked the 3.0 as much as initially planned -With this being an online exclusive if this also flops, the fallout won't be as painful as a 3.0/retail release
I'll be getting this, I only have a hg rx-78-2 with plans of buying the 3.0 when a g3 version comes out, I'm a big fan of the prototype gundam, but not enough to own all of the rx-78 series variants, wanna get the good stuff :P
Ugly outside, amazing inside. Though I like this 2.0 style much more. Very good articulation, gimmick, and easy to put a finishing touch because less panel line, suitable for fast-progress and straight build.
Looks like a recolor of the MG RX-78-2 Ver. 2.0...?

DeleteNOT just a recolor. Lower arms, hips, side armor, ankle armor, and riffle are different.

Glad I waited!
you don't say...
DeleteActually, it's a slight remold, and a million times better than Exia R3
Actually it's a bit more than just a 'recolor'. There are some new parts to it.
DeleteI like this.
Wow didn't think that they would still want to use the old 2.0 frame since the 3,0 has yet to be milked yet.....
ReplyDelete.......what?
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Surprised it isn't a regular release but will buy regardless. Big fan of 2.0 frame.
ReplyDeleteWow, Bandai is using the 2.0 frame... They probably plan these online exclusives five years in advance
ReplyDeletehmmm...did they ran out of things to do?
ReplyDeletewow so surprising
ReplyDeleteI think the 2.0 frame is well suited for the retro look of the prototype gundam, this is a must buy for me.
ReplyDeleteIt's the 2.0 old style frame. One ugly MG design.
ReplyDeleteIf they did this with the 3.0 which looks a huge bit more modern i would be interested, maybe......

DeleteAre you sure that a 3.0 PROTOTYPE Gundam would be nice? Seriously dude, use your imagination.
DeleteEven though it's just a recolor of 2.0 with minor parts variation, I like it. Too bad I already own regular Gramps 2.0. :(
ReplyDeleteChanges seem to be: Different armour on the lower arms, different rifle, holster for the rifle, different ankle armour and a new backpack design.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone is wondering, they're waterslide decals. (For those who can't read Japanese, look for the 水 in the Bandai information, it means water)
ReplyDeleteBandai running out of ideas....... don't see much of a difference between this and the Real Type Color
ReplyDeleteLook carefully once again, there's difference with real type color and prototype.
