What do you expect exactly? The skirt and leg armour are molded to be accurate to the design of this MS. Did you expect some sort of colour variation and stylized rendition like the ver ka MGs? If that's the case you're an idiot. It's like complaining about the Gundam 2.0 back when it came out and claiming the design looks dull for a 2008 kit. The kit looks great for a 2014 kit as it comes with clear pieces for the solar panels instead of stickers, clear purple pieces to complement the satellite canon mode and everything is molded in clear plastic except for the eyes and forehead/rifle scopes. They easily could have provided stickers for the black trim pieces for the beam rifle and even the red triangle pieces on the centre of the knees armour. Bandai did not cheap out with this release which has been a long time coming but here you are complaining an issue that has nothing to due with Bandai itself. If you have an issue with the skirt and leg armour looking dull you can take it up with the original mecha designer for Gundam X.
Really? You are complaining about such small things? What are you expecting? Ver. Ka style MG? I believe the colour variation and sleek style only applies to modern MG ver.Ka kits but not for regular MG kits.
How so? It looks very accurate to the line art and has all the gimmicks and everything is molded in the proper colours. I couldn't ask for a better MG rendition of this underrated Gundam. If you can do better why don't you show me rather than complain about why it's a lousy design.
I don't get what everyone is complaining about it looks great, my only complaint...i liked the teal instead of the dark blue that the recent HG used for the X. also keep in mind this guy is a pretty small mg like bordering on V size they prolly have to make a few conscessions in design.
OMG This looks fantastic! I know it's a small thing but I can't believe the red triangle pieces are actually plastic and not a sticker. In so many past MGs thy have made little details like those o be stickers which i didn't mind since the details were so small. Considering the amount of stickers that came with the MG Strike Rouge ver RM with the otoori pack I am really impressed with the colour separation on this MG. At first I wasn't a fan of the purple efffect parts but from seeing this pics with it in satellite mode it really fits with the whole aesthetic. Similar to the Unicorn Gundam in destroy mode.
Holy mother of god, is this Master Grade created in 2005 ? Those skirt and legs armor are so dull.
ReplyDeleteI like the chest, cockpit, and those purple lining on side arms, skirt, & legs. But those dull armor is just, unbearable for a 2014 Master Grade kit.
The armor isn't really an issue with the model though. If anything, blame the original designs.

DeleteI wonder whats that hatch on the rear skirt is for?
ReplyDeleteLooks like a design for Double X Gundam! You know, how it can store its weapon on its back skirt! ^_^
Deleteprobably more likely for the x divider equipment
DeleteMan I hope the Divider equipment is announced for this.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope its not an online exclusive though.

Deletelousy design translation for 2014 imo

DeleteLousy design? Have you even seen the anime? Are you expecting it to look like something from Seed or 00?

ReplyDeletePretty accurate to me. Watched the entire X series and hope to get the X-Divider and the DX soon.
