Looks like it. Those arms look like the ones from the Age and newer HGUC kits.
I never thought that the Double X would ever see the light of day in HGAW form. I must say, the proportions are stunning and the colors are brilliant.
Kind of nice that they can do real whites and blacks now. Gunpla has gone a long way since the 1990s.

Depend what you want to do, play it instantly (RD) or build it (plamo).
I prefer to build my kits most of the time, I just want to know which proportions are better/anime accurate.
I'd say this is better because it's cheaper. And from memory of the RD, and judging by these images, I think this has better proportions, not like the RD which is probably more stylized.
Take this kit if you aim for anime accurate proportion. RD has slimmer proportion or stylized which are weird in my opinion.
The thing is, the HG looks better overall, but the RD has the much better head design. The HG head looks a bit off.
Shave the v fin and face spikes down a bit and it should look fine.
i think this is a new mold... i dont remember the DX being so sleek in the past HG kits
Was there a DX in HG form before...? I can't remember any..
nope just the old 1/144 old no grade :/
