Wait, what the hell? It's a new mold. It's an actual new mold. The arms and legs are at the very least different and the chest probably is too. They released the HG perfect Strike with the old mold but they're releasing this with a brand new mold.
They will probably release a whole bunch of optional striker packs later so you can mix and match with the vanilla base unit here (and bandai can milk the mold indefinitely!)
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think replacing the head and shoulders is enough to make it look like the old strike. If it doesn't come with the shoulders, I'll just try to find a ball joint of the same size ending in a 3mm peg
I am not a fan of that odd red shoulder, blue knee since it looked out of place. Other than that, I do like the kitbashing concepts. Please, please bring out the ultimate kitbash series, Advance of Zeta.
Yeah. Those wings are just plain unappealing. They look just" there" for looks. The VSBRS are nice though. Reminds me of the Saviour and obviously the F91
Eh, I'm not too hot on this striker pack but there will be plenty others to choose from once the show starts. I'm sure I'll find one I like from the countless reissues Bandai's no doubt got planned.
Somehow this gundam looks like god gundam from the front side to me,and have wings like freedom with a new equipment
ReplyDeleteDespite the criticism this unit is getting I like it and maybe someday I'll add it to the rest of my other Strike kits.

ReplyDeleteI actually like this. It looks so much sleeker than the old HG, and loving the color apps too
ReplyDeleteI see a lot of painting possibilities beyond the standard red, white and blue. I'll grab this down the road.
ReplyDeleteI like it. Even if it's just a customized strike, design-wise, it has the feeling of a proper lead gundam in its own right.
ReplyDeleteIf only we can get the old strike in a similar mold
ReplyDeleteWe will with the HG project

Delete^Yeah, the standalone boosters and BUild strike's description gives that theory credit
DeleteScrew the watermarks. Hope gginfinite folds up.
ReplyDeleteI hope it comes with the regular strike parts to make it into the normal strike.

ReplyDeleteThe Build Booster is moulded completely in just 1 colour? that's a bit disappointing really...
ReplyDeleteIt's not bad considering how lame seed was.
ReplyDeleteA good redesign. A+
oh, another butterfly gundam.. *yawn*

DeleteCareful! One of those "butterflies" set humanity back to the dark ages (Turn A).
