@GunStray: the rough gray is a gray colored primer to prepare the kit for painting. But I use it to also serve the purpose to check for inconsistency.... like to see if the seam lines were puttied correctly, if the new panels lines were well drawn, if my modifications looks natural on the kit..etc.
i’m in the middle of modding the same kit right now, is it ok if i copy some panel line patterns from u,its my first time doing panel line and pla-plating.i really admire what you’ve done on this, you made it like a RG series.

how did you plan out on where you put the panel lines.
ReplyDelete@Giovanni: I usually use a pencil and draw panel line design on the kits to see how it look first, the use chisel to make the actual panel lines.
ReplyDeleteAs for ideas, that just either come natural to what I feel would make the kit looks good, or take ideas from professional modellers.
is it just me? or does that gn drive look huge on this particular sculpt?
ReplyDeleteDo you straight build then prime the whole model intacted?
ReplyDeleteWhat do you use to do panel lining? Marker? Panel line wash?
