    2. Seems like you're right. Based on the first picture, seems like someone at the show noticed it too :P

  2. So what do we think guys?? I'm not seeing a 'body block' piece for part swapping so is this a swapper??

    1. It's most likely a "swapper" and it's better off for it!

  3. Great... another shitty partsformer.. if they can make the anksha and the asshimar fully transformable without being a partsformer why can't they do the same for these. dammit bandai.

    1. I think it's important to keep in mind that the two models you're referencing have much simpler transformations. Notice how the fully transformable RG Zeta has bulky and awkward proportions. The abdomen section is too angled. Also notice how the HGUC Zeta is a parts former/swapper/whatever. The Zeta transformation is far too complicated to translate into 1/144 scale models. I'm glad the likes of most transformable HGs have some amount of parts swapping involved. I'd take an accurate and good looking transformation over a flimsy and bulky/awkward one any day! I'm just glad that Bandai made this one look true to form. I mean, it's a great looking model, ammirite guys?!

    2. But I think RG Zeta looks sleek and proportionate, at least better than more old 1/144 Zeta one.

  4. Have you seen the old non grade Zeta Plus C1? Without going with a fancy RG style inner frame like the RG Zeta, good luck getting it to transform AND be durable. I like the looks of it, and I think it would make a nice addition to the MG one from 10 years ago.

  5. >whining about partsformers

OH yeah, I sure do love unstable messes with stupid-ass proportions! You people are fucking morons. Unless you want a Gerwalk Z+, you're not losing absolutely anything and the kit is better off for it.

  6. I have a late 1980s HG 1/144 Zeta Plus C1, and it is fully transformable and very accurate and detailed kit. Considering it is a 25+ year old kit, it is really a good kit comparing to this modern A1. I am not that impressed with this A1 issue, and for what it costs, I will get a MG version of it.

    1. The question is, is the old kit stable or not?

  7. The murasame is also a Zeta-type and you only have to take out the arms and head. Hell it doesn't even have to fully transform, for example taking the arms off and plugging them to holes in its chest (covered by the chest plate in MS mode a la Anksha) and only swapping the crotch piece (a la Murasame or Kyrios) could work instead of this completely-take-it-apart thing.

  8. Hoping that as soon as this kit gets released, somebody paints it in Amuro colors and Zeta Gundam colors.

  9. Finally, a decent picture of the Zeta Plus A1. Parts-former or whatever, I still love it.
