  1. Wait a minute, if Vol 1 was episode 1-2 & vol 3 is episode 4-10..... does that mean vol 2 only have episode 3?!? X_X

  2. I don't understand the price point. Can you imagine consumers in the US willing to pay ~$60 for a DVD or Blu-ray with 3 episodes of a TV show on it?

    2. still, you make a point. A reason a lot of people are watching anime on FTV if theyre lucky enough to live in Asia or US, bootleg or stream is because of the high cost of producing animation, that gets transferred over to us, the audience...

I completely understand the painstaking work involved in drawing up cells, but look at Gundam Unicorn's Blu Ray releases. Sure it might seem unreasonable to pay almost a full price of a xbox game for a 60-120 min blu ray movie but for fans of anime and Gundam, the backbreaking work putting together the CGI and digital cell animation seems almost worth that price to pay. Not to mention the epic story that ties it all together.

over time even the SEED/Destiny, Wing, etc DVD boxsets still havent depreciated in cost (kinda like Apple's products selling reiterations of Ipod, Iphone, Macbook, etc) which kinda bugs me because

      A) its been how many years since the series ended? (ok, some series like Zeta, MSG, Wing might seem priceless to Sunrise's eyes, damn cash cows)
      B) its in 480i/p DVD quality, compared to the eg SEED HD Remaster Blurays being released this year that will cost a small fortune for just the 1st volume which contains eps 1-12?
      C) i really dont have a stable income :( so i can only afford realistically 1 volume or boxset per year >:(
