Like with the Gusion/Gusion Rebake; there's the Astaroth and the Astaroth origin. This is the latter.
Perhaps you are thinking of the former? Technically, the "Astaroth" is a rebuild since the armour had to be sold off, whereas the frame was kept, then later modified with other ms parts. The "Astaroth Origin" seen here is the original form.
so, what we can tell from the most recent pictures, which are the pictures of the kit unpainted and without the stickers, the white on the v-fin is an actual white part.
This is suddenly crossed my mind, but what if Astaroth condition is like demon demoted from it's position to be weaker demon? And Argi's journey for searching Astaroth scrapped parts is like journey for Astaroth can back to be powerful demon again? It's like: Origin => powerful demon unknown black astaroth => wounded state Current Astaroth
astaroth rebaked?
ReplyDeletewow! girl-pilot!
ReplyDeleteThe more images I see of this kit the more i want it~ Kinda reminds me of the Astraea F2 a bit~

Sadly you are wrong
Delete11 images down, second mecha from the left...new Hyakuren? Very similar, but likely under a different name.
ReplyDeleteYeah. It's a customized Hyakuren called 'Triaina;. It has a top-hat and a butterfly knife.
DeleteIs it just me or does the V-fin not match the illustrations? I definitely prefer them pointier.
ReplyDeleteYeah, small things in the 1/144 kits tend to be chunkier to avoid being broken. You can sand them to a point though.
DeleteYeah, things like that tend to be chunkier on the 1/144 kits. Makes them a little tougher to prevent being snapped.
DeleteYou can always sand them to shape.
I wish they would do a whole calamity war model kit series, with all IBO Gundams in their original form!
ReplyDeletei think this is transformable to flight mode
ReplyDeleteThose shoulder fins are very reminiscent of the evangelion units.

What do you think? This is just analogy though.
I thought the shoulder armor will formed a huge bastard sword, since astaroth is all about big sword. Oh well...still gonna buy it anyway xD
ReplyDeleteseems alike like Gundam Justice from GSD.
ReplyDeleteGetting them Justice feels
ReplyDeleteWOooo much better than the white one!!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to repaint it with protagonist colors.
ReplyDeleteThis thing will look so cool next to my HGUC Sinanju and HG Red Frame (probably buying an Astraea F2 ASAP)
