Gundam.info, the official Gundam portal site, reported on Thursday that the presentation of a “long-anticipated ‘new Gundam video’” will be held on July 2 at 11:59 a.m. The presentation will be streamed on Gundam.info. gundam-bf.net, and Bandai Channel Minna de Stream sites.
The only details that can be revealed at this point is the above image and the key words “1/144 Gundam Mobile.” Sunrise had registered the domain name Gundam-bf.net last month.
We are very excited to see what this is about! How about you? Leave us a comment with your thoughts on what Gundam BF might mean?

Deletewings yes, but looks more Freedomish, though I can't make up the numbers, there seems to be a total of 4 wings on the upper part while 2 on the lower, I can't tell if there are wings in between them
DeleteMain color is white. Shoulders have red and white colors. Side and front skirts both look big with some blue touches here and there and the beam sabers on the side skirts. Upper torso is in blue and red coloration. Knees armor seems to have a blue color while feet in red. There's some blue coloration around the wrist and it seems like either some inner mechanical detail are shown on the lower arm or that's some black coloration.
Shoulders attached to the body seem to look different from how previous MS did.
Thats what I'm thinking, With as long as the seed movie has been in "production".

ReplyDeleteLooks like a real "Strike" Freedom to me. The wings have 4 blade which resembles SF-X20A but there are, from the looks of it, got cannons in them like Freedom X10A. And the rest of the body resembles Strike-X105

DeleteLet's start with the most apparent traits of this Gundam. The legs, the skirt armors, practically everything down from the waist looks exactly like the strike gundam, or even the arms bears quite a resemblance. The torso and the overall colors is similar to the Strike Gundam. The wings resemblance the Freedom wing somewhat, the details may be different once we get a clear close up shot but it does gives off Freedom's vibe to its design. The head is interesting. The deign of the head feels like a naturally evolution of what the Freedom head should looks like.

ReplyDeleteThere is nothing new about the Gundam design and the idea seemed to be borrowed from other existing titles as usual, I guess Bandai find that recycling old ideas are more cost efficient than coming up with new ones.

What more, the idea of a Female protagonist in Gundam title has already been realized in forms of manga titles like Ecole du Ciel and Gunpla Builders-D.

Once created, these models can be used to play a game using similar scanning technology to the Advanced Grade Gundam Age gunpla. ReplyDeleteThe 1/144 and the platform the small gundam is standing on hint at those kit digitizer thingy used in manga like Plamo Kyoshiro, Hyper Senshi Gundam Boy, Gunpla Builders etc.
"1/144 GUNDAM 起動。" sounds like "The 1/144 GUNDAM boots up.".
Just a sentence not a series name or a gundam name.
GUNDAM is in all caps...
Feels like its a generic term.

- It's nowhere to be seen on the official art
- the head doesn't quite match up to what's on the official site, though it's very close
- the torso, especially the vents, looks different from what can be distinguished from the official image and, if you look closely, is very obviously a Strike torso with a couple of bits of detail from the sides of the Calamity's torso
- the proportions of the wings are totally off
