The story about the Vagan's Gundam-like MS is probably a data collection of past encounters with the AGE-1 and AGE-2, or it was the same time where Asemu's last mission was. Nobody knows until further episodes.
Even though Flit is that old, he is still a badass for even being able to copilot for the age-3. And somehow I believe thst Kio's, most likely love interest, Wendy is going to be the main copilot, but hey this is just my thinking.

And not to talk about the overpowered MS and magical GN paricles, that can do everything. They can block attacks, jam radar and communications, power the machine, give physical weaponary (knives, swords) extra power, make teleportation possible and even transmit thoughts. If the plot needed it, the particles would be able to cook, do the laundry and tidy up the appartment.
(And to set something straight. With SEED I was reffering only to Gundam SEED, not Gundam SEED Destiny. The later is on the same level with Gundam 00, but because of other reasons.)

Age's introduction (though they weren't really aliens, Nadesico anyone?) is much better.
And Seed? everything started getting Godlike with the introduction of the n-jammer canceller. And to me, the best part of that series was Shinn beating the crap out of Kira using the Impulse.
A Main Gundam storyline will never have a girl as a main character. They tried to do that with Turn A, but the idea was rejected and they had to change the main character to a guy. Hence why Loran (the main character of Turn A Gundam) is so girly.
For gundam Age, I think that the story is just beginning. I feel that Age 1 and Age 2 were setting us up for Age 3, which is why Age 3 will have 29 episodes or so. It is to early to judge whether Gundam Age is a failed experiment
That Veigan Gundam hybrid with the Veigan mono eye line is awesome! why reveal it so early? Who's piloting it? Also the Farsia comes back from the dead, now in Qubeley colours! also why reveal G-Xiphios? Why reveal Zeehato as the pilot of Ghiraga?
As much as i like the new information overload, the story couldve been better if both Zeehato and Asemu would be kept out of it until the 2nd half of AGE 3 or until something significant happens.
Kio = Uso Ewin and Judau Ashtau. Young pilots with impressive natural ability, with Judau being a really strong Newtype.
Ok first of it is not the g-xiphos the designs are widely different, second revealing a really shaded quick look of the veigan gundam is just a teaser trying to make people keep their interest in the show and thirdly that zeheart was the pilot of the ghiraga isn't really a secret or something special, the ghiraga even has zehearts name in its name/model number (zgc=zeheart galette custom)

The vagan gundam and the pirate gundam are very interesting indeed. Looks like i'm going to be buying more HG Gunpla from Age. I was only going to get the 3 Gundam Age Normals.
The AGE-3 kind of reminds me of the Victory Gundam, the docking anyways, but I wonder if there need to always be two pilots and if so who would be the second pilot of the body half would be?

When Age first started I guesed from the beginning that each Gen's Gundam would be based on the main three gundams of the first three gundam animes. Also I guessed the UE would not be aliens because it would be too predictable after the OO movie I was right again. I guessed here and their got a few guesses wrong and some right so now I started a new game where I write down my predictions and see if they happen. Any one want to join in on the game?
I live in an area where im the only real gundam fan. Noone else even knows what a Gundam is (go southern USA!) Had no idea there were such hatred and passions for different gundam series. Lol.
