GG INFINITE: JULY CELEBRATION LUCKY DRAW

Hi Everyone,
I want to thank you all for your kind comments for my newborn baby, which we nicknamed 'Jon Jon'. He sure is a handful right now, but at the end of the day, it is all so worth it. I really enjoy being a Dad. =)
And I also want to thank everyone for your continual support for my blog. I really tried my best to post contents that are timely & relevent for this great hobby of ours. Over the year, I witnessed just how great the online Gundam communities had grown, and is just really fun to be part of this big Gundam family on the web. Some of my friends/readers PM me on facebook asking whether my Gundam Guy blog (and other blogs) will slow down in posting or even shut down due to the arrival of my newtype baby. And the answer is a pretty obvious 'no', and we are actually expanding.
The guys from Team GG (Team GG = folks who works for me @ GG INFINITE) & I are working on a new GG INFINITE website that would provide a better experience sharing about Gundam and other stuffs that we enjoy. To sum it up, it will be a consolidation of Gundam Guy, Mecha Guy, Kamen Rider GG, GG INFINITE store update & other stuffs all at one place. We are currently still working on this new site, and below is an image of our work in progress... We are about 60% done, and it still requires more work, but we hope to be able to launch this new site soon!
With that said... we will officially begin our July's Celebration Lucky Draw starting from June 26th (today) - July 16th (Saturday). To participate in this lucky draw, we would like to have you give us some feedback & suggestions for this new GG INFINITE website of ours.  And on July 17th, we will draw and announce the 10 winners to win the following prizes:
(The link image below will be placed on the blog's right side bar for easy access)
- (Winner 1) MG Epyon EW
- (Winner 2) HG GM Cannon II
- (Winner 3) PSP Game: Gundam Vs Gundam Next
- (Winner 4,5) GG INFINITE $10 Online Coupon
- (Winner 6, 7, 8, 9, 10) GG INFINITE $5 Online Coupon
On July 17th, we will be drawing the winners in the order of the prizes shown above.
Here are the rules:
- To post your comments, you MUST register a blogger account (HERE) and post your comments using your blogger account. (This is to help prevent those who post more than once under different names. We have considered other preventive measures, but there really isn't any full proof methods.)
- You may post more than one time, but your name will ONLY be counted once.
- No profanity / name calling is allowed in your comments or your post will be deleted. And further alteration to this rule is subject to change if deemed necessary.
- You MUST post comment under this post.  Posting in the chatbox or anywhere else will not be a valid entry.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR IDEAS & SUGGESTIONS! =)

  1. Congratulations on your new son and I can't wait to see the new website! I've been really enjoying the site but I would like to see some more non gunpla related news like updates on manga and anime.

  2. Yeah, Gundam show news would be a great addition. Congrats on the new baby!

  3. Probably in the cards already, but probably something like by default you get all content and then something at the top to choose filters for what you want to see.

If you want to build community maybe make a page where you can submit your model builds (or works in progress) and you guys choose ones to display.

Model building tips and tutorials in some form would be great as well.

    ReplyDelete
  4. I kinda like the template you guys made so far, but put videos on the side, like the featured box, so that way you have room for editor's choice and news and it doesn't look too clutter.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Again congratulations with your new baby, about the site, I like how it simple it is but I hope there will be a forum links not only to interact with other Gunpla/Plamo modelers but also hear what the kits their want or something.

    ReplyDelete
  6. congrats about your new(type) baby! as for the site i think a definite addition should be given to users to customize the interface not only with filters but perhaps with additional backgrounds for the page as well as fonts/colors. all GG infinite related of course ;-)

  7. I...I actually have nothing to say because I find that what you guys made is perfect ! I'm looking forward to this GG Infinite website !

And congratulations, Welcome Jon Jon in the world of Gunpla !

  8. The Gundam Origin Zaku has stubby legs. But I'm still totally psyched about the animation! I was a bit shocked how Bandai/Sunrise distanced themselves from their more mature audiences, but it makes a bit of sense from a marketing perspective... but the Origin animation makes me forgive them for that.

Anyways, congrats on the kid, get him started with gunpla as soon as he can hold a pair of side cutters!

  9. bigger community aspects would be great. like filtering what the viewer wants to see. if people are bombarded with stuff they dont want to see they wont read the blog anymore and will leave.

    also, congratulations again!^^

  10. Hey congratz on the newtype baby :) I think it would be cool to perhaps have a community showcase of built model kits chosen by the GG team with perhaps an interactive component of voting/poll on which completed project/kit the community likes the best (maybe like a tournament :P ). Also I think have a section to your personal opinions on mecha/anime shows you like or other random things. Good luck on this cant wait for the new look :)

    ReplyDelete
  11. congrats in your new son, may you have more to come! My Suggestion for the site Maybe you should feature tips and tutorials in building and customizing gundam or other figures to make us learn to do it ourselves which will really help newbies like me.

Also a poll which will help interact with the community for future projects and insights.

  12. Congratulation on the baby again. Glad to see you are having a blast.

Now with the website, I think the most recent headlines should be right under the Editor's Choice section of the website and maybe move the videos to the side bar? Oh or have a navigation bar to the left side so we can filter through each section. (e.g. Videos, review, news, etc.)
Well that's just my $0.02, good luck with the site and the baby.

  13. What I like about your current blog is the simplicity of it. All it takes for me to navigate through updates/pictures/news is by mouse scrolling. I wish for your new website to keep this mechanism and hope I won't need to click too much. And I like the idea of implementing categories/tabs at the top of the page so then users can quickly access what they are looking for. Also please keep the chat box :)

    ReplyDelete
  14. There's nothing much I'd like to be changed, I like the way you do your blogs now. So I guess just keep it the same, just with every blog combined.

    ReplyDelete
  15. congrats on the baby and being a dad.

    avid daily follower.
look foward to seeing the new site!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Congrats on the baby GG
about the website, i think u should add a system that will automatically calculate the price of shipping when u enter your address

    ReplyDelete
  17. well i like this blog like it is but i would like if there were a place where there is customisation tutorials and such stuff, like how to use epoxy or pla plates. and it would be fun with voting polls to see what new kits the other gundam fans are the most excited about. but good work on your blog and congratulations for the baby!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Can't think of much, maybe a little description of what a reviewer thought about the kit when a review of one is posted, that way, decisions can be made a little easier. Anyway, congrats and keep up the great work!

    ReplyDelete
  19. i agree with most people here. some sort of filtering system would be great! And hopefully there will be a chatbox for people to leave comments/discuss. Also, from an aesthetic point of view, the side bar thing on the right should be a different color to match with the background.

    Grats on the new baby!

    ReplyDelete
  20. I would like to congradulate you.I would also like to see more new news instead of just reviews on released model kits that sometimes plague this blog. I would also like to see soe of your models

    ReplyDelete
  21. Congratulations on the new baby! That's so awesome!

Here are some random thoughts from the picture and from your current blog setup;I don't care much for the background image, it may be too busy with all of the lines. Have the chatbox closer to the top. I dig the new logo. I prefer a darker theme over the lighter theme as shown in the picture. Remember, form follows function! So keep it as simple as possible and try not to make it overly pretty! I can't wait to see the new format and hope to see you at F&S soon!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Looks great! I think the new website captures both the essences of a store and a blogspot.

    ReplyDelete
  23. My suggestions:

    1) Like some others have stated, a filtering system would be awesome. I love reading about all of the Gundam news and Model announcements, but I'm less interested in certain other things (such as custom built models and conversions and whatnot). Everyone has their preferences.

    2) It would be interesting to consider a page that tracked English translations of manga and (where legal) anime.

    (come on, MG Epyon!)

    ReplyDelete
  24. Congratulations on the baby!
now to the new site. I agree with Patrick Hennessey it is very busy looking with that background i would rather prefer a cleaner look. otherwise i dont really have any other problems. and this blog is great so good work on that!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Congratz with the new baby!!

Looking forward to the new website. So far I'm happy with the layout. Keep up with the awesome work Team GG.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I've said so before, but it can't really be said enough: Congratulations on your new addition! It's obviously going to be hard (as you can probably see since he's already a handful), but I'm sure you'll find it to be the most worthwhile thing in your life. Good luck!

As for the updated GG Infinite; it looks great. I've actually thought to myself a few times that the current site is a bit bland. The new format (or potential format, I should say) is looking really good. It looks like it would still be easy enough to travel through, the links to various updates is a great touch and the color is a huge improvement over the plain white that there is now. In any case, I'm sure things will turn out great and that Team GG will continue doing an excellent job.

Thanks a lot for the constant updates and keep up the great work!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Congrats on the new baby boy!

Your blog is one of my go-to sites for gunpla news, so I really appreciate all the hard work you've done. Keep it up!!

As for the new layout, I think it's good so far, but I wouldn't want to be too cluttered with information. One of the reasons I like your blog is because it's clean and simple. I can read all the latest headlines by scrolling the mouse. Less is more.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I like the whole design of the website in general. However, I think you could maybe make a better looking logo (GGInfinite) and perhaps find a picture or something to make the red box at the top of the page more engaging/less boring xD

    ReplyDelete
  29. i'm soo hungry right now
26/6/16:07 ...mm i need to eat,,and i feeling not well today,,congraz to the winner!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Congratulations man!
Hoping to win that Epyon, can't wait to dive back into Gunpla this summer!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Jon Jon? Or maybe JJ? Lol, that's my nickname too. Congratz

    ReplyDelete
  32. Congrats again and have fun with 'Jon Jon'! As for the new website, it's looking good so far! The only suggestion I also think adding something "more" to the title bar would spice it up a bit. Sure, most of my GG fix comes in through RSS but I wouldn't mind a shinier page.

  35. congrats to your new baby!!!! I cant wait fer the new website for my Gundam hobby news and others. I like the 'GG Infinite' design and the colour scheme is pretty good...cant wait to see the final outcome!!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Congratulations for your new baby, GG! You and your wife are beginning unto the wonderful adventure of parenthood. Scary and challenging at times but even more rewarding and fulfilling! Happy to learn of the new site. My 2 cents is just hope to have sleek/clean look. Oh, and a suggestion: maybe a real-time (as much as possible) update of stock availability. Anyways, congrats once more and good luck on the new site. More power to Team GG!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I would like it if the updates came as smaller headlines and the beginning of the post, that could be expanded. If I've been away from GG for a couple days, it would be nice to see all the headlines from the past 3 days and click to expand the ones that really interest me. Also if you want to go back and re-read an article there's a LOT of scrolling involved. The whole site in general makes you scroll a lot so it would be nice to see a slicker and more compact approach. Half the sidebar probably never even gets looked at because it's so long, you could run it sideways across the top or bottom of the page to give it more exposure!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Congratulations!

As for suggestions, I think some more full magazine scans would be nice, sort of like what srwhotnews did back in the day. I'm sure there are legality issues with this, but do what you can!

And, for products and stuff, being able to see all the high res pics on one page would be better than clicking on each one to see the high res one!

The site looks great, but I mostly get your stuff from RSS feeds, so I won't be seeing much of it...sorry!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Congratulations on the baby, GG. I like the new design, I think if has all the aspects of your other blogs and updates on your wonderful store; it'll be just wonderful ^__^

    ReplyDelete
  40. Congratulations on the new baby! I think that you should switch Latest Headlines with Editor's choice and place the videos section to the right of the page rather than under the Editor's choice. Other than that it's an awesome website. I'm excited to see the new website and can't wait for it to be up. :]

    ReplyDelete
  41. Congratulations on the new born baby ! :D Hope ur baby will be fine and healthy ! I love this website, i check it daily and every single time im filled with excitement before opening ur blog !~ :D
    Thanks !

  42. Looking forward to seeing the new website! Preview looks pretty cool. Haven't won the last two draws, but maybe I'll get lucky this time! xD

    ReplyDelete
  43. From what we can see so far in your preview image, the website is looking pretty promising already.
As for my suggestion, I think it would be beneficial to GG-Infinite customers if you add a modeling tutorial section, which list a few basic and advance modeling techniques.
And since you occasionally showcase model kits done by pros in this blog, you should have a gallery section of your own personal work along with user submitted work or any other great plamo works you find interesting online.
Anyways, congrats on the newborn and I wish you good luck with everything! ^__^)b

    ReplyDelete
  44. First of all, congrats on the baby! (If he's a newtype just make sure the Frost brothers don't find him :P).

Regarding the new site, I agree with "sabator", I usually check the blog each 2 or 3 days, and it's sometimes bothersome to scroll through kilometric articles. And the same goes for the sidebar, which I haven't explored it in full yet because of the size precisely. Maybe you could add some tabs at the top of the page (in the "Gundam/Mecha/Figures/Models" bar) containign for example "Other Modeling Sites" or "Model Expos and Contests". You could add a "spotlight" of such categories in the main page also. Well, enough said, enjoy your new family! =)

    ReplyDelete
  45. Congrats on your new baby.

on suggestions its perfect it doesnt really need anything for it

    ReplyDelete
  46. congratz dude,

I think GG-Infinite is pretty good, carrying a larger selection of hobby items could be nice, but overall very nice. I'd like to see more sales though.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Congratulations.
From what I can see I not so sure a video tab is needed considering how many videos tend to be posted up.

The template might be a bit too compact. As much as I dislike scrolling through pages and pages looking for something I missed. The big, bright, and bold images I scroll through make the site a treat for the eyes.

Would love to see the "You might also like:" footer on every post remain, can't tell you how many posts I discovered through them.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Hey congratulations on the new addition to your family.

I think the site looks pretty professional and more appealing. As for suggestions I think there should be a wishlist you can make so you can check for things being in stock and recall what all you were thinking of purchasing. Also I read someone else's suggestion of a gallery for people to post there models, I think that a good idea 'cause I know if I see a model well done, even if before I wasn't interested I pay more attention to it and reconsider its worth.

And by the way, this blog is great, nice to check out whats new every day.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Congratulations GG!

I like the new layout, just make sure to keep all the information from the different series separated so it would be like it is now only under one website.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I think the site looks good as of now, but what I think you should do is just make it how you want to and then let us mess around with it to see what we like and what we don't like/what needs to be changed/fixed.

    ReplyDelete
  51. First, like most of the other people on here, I would like to congratulate you on the new addition to your family, GG. As for my suggestion for your site, I think it would be useful to have Gundam product categories based on series, like what you have, but then further divide those categories into sub-categories based on the type of product. For example, if I were to click "Gundam 00," it would be useful for that link to take me to another page, which would have links for each kind of Gundam 00 Product (e.g. Robot Damashii, HG-00, MG-00, 1/100 NG-00, etc.)I know it would be a lot of work, but I think it would really make your site a lot more user friendly for people who don't know a lot about Gunpla already.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Congrats on the new addition to your family! I personally like minimalist set up of the current site. As far as stock goes, a few more of the web limited stuff would be nice. But again, that's just me. I'm well aware of the fact that these are expensive as high heaven and may not move as fast.

    ReplyDelete
  53. First of all, congrats on your newtype baby!
It would be really cool if you can see the shipping prices when you view the product details without adding to the cart and check out. In addition, if there is something like monthly special every month it would be really nice. :)

    ReplyDelete
  54. The layout is actully looking real nice! I love you gundamguy blog here, keeps me updated on all the gunpla news, which is great to see!

    ReplyDelete
  55. this is very cool. gundam is very old.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Congratulations on your new baby!! The new website looks great and it will be very efficient for those who likes Gundams. :]

    ReplyDelete
  57. The layout is actully looking real nice! I love you gundamguy blog here, keeps me updated on all the gunpla news, which is great to see!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Congratulations on the spawn! I hope he grows up to be the greatest gunpla builder/Gundam pilot ever! There's actually not a lot I think NEEDS to be added to the site, since it's already pretty awesome, but I agree on the suggestions for model tips. Perhaps you could add a gunpla gallery for visitors?

    ReplyDelete
  59. Contratulations on your new baby! For the new site I would sugest updating the adress management on the store, las time I tired to buy somethin it was pretty confusing since I could add new addreses but not delete an existing one. Also autocompletition on the store's search bar would be nice.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I think i'd like to see a darker background color, opposed to the white background. but that's just a personal preference. congrats on the kid!!!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Congrats on Jon Jon!!
I like the idea of Editors top choices. Maybe you might be able to add some kind of forums to the site or where we could collaborate on how much my like or dislike on a certain model or such. I guess we kind of do that in the comments section of a certain post but an area for just that.
heck you could add your on video series to the site via Youtube or what ever every week or certain Special occasions or something. You could do your own "unboxing" of new products on video and add it to the site.
As long as you have some good interactive material to the site, people will come!

    ReplyDelete
  62. I told you I'd offer my two cents regrading the new site, so here they are. Unfortunately I only brought a twenty so you're just going to have to accept however many pennies that is.

    - Scope Creep: Decide what you want your site to be about and stick with it. If you try to expand into something larger you risk blowing things up if you don't have the resources. Personally, I'd stick with the same formula you're following now. Combining multiple products into one central location is fantastic, but going into music or manga tracking as some others have suggested in a bad idea. There are other sites that do it already. They're also to operate on the gray line of legality, which considering your enviable position with Blue Fin, is probably not best ventured into.

    - Keep the site simple: The new design looks good, certainly an improvement over what you're doing now. The problem I see is a diversion in the way you're presenting the stories. As it is now, one just has open up your site, scroll down and take a look at all the info and pretty pictures. From the mockup of the new site, I don't see it. I've got to click around to see what's going on. It's just not the awesome viewing experiance many of us love.

    - Editor's Choice is a solid idea: Keep that section, no matter how your format the site. It'll be easy to keep track of the key stories you want to share. A bit more appropriate than pinning a thread to the top of the list.

    - Gotta keep 'em separated: I can see the allure of combining your store and blog into the same site, but I'm not sure if I agree with it. There's something to be said for keeping them separate entities, such as different content systems and different layouts. What works good as a blog may not work well as a store. Just cross promote like a beast.

    - Don't lose the chat box: Okay, it may be an archaic piece of technology laden with blog spammers like myself, but I've seen some good discussions taking place on it. Discussions keep bringing folks back.

    - Go with a flexible width on the wide side: By keeping things narrow for folks using legacy resolutions you condense and make the site a bit more difficult to read. I like visiting now and seeing big pictures right off the bat

    - Integrate with Lightbox: I use Lightbox 2 on my site and it's the best way to share higher resolution images. Linking to the image itself just doesn't work these days

    - Revise your labeling approach - Going more specific with your labels will make it easier for people to find and track stories and content. For example, your recent post about the MG Epyon was labeled "Bandai, Gundam Model Kits, Hobby, Toys." They're so generic they describe 90% of your content. If they were labeled "Gundam Wing" and "MG Epyon" It would be a lot easier for someone to find similar content. It will also be a lot easier to find in the future.

Annnnd that's me being an opinionated silly man. More later, maybe. I could have used that time to work on so many sections of my site that need updating lol

    ReplyDelete
  63. Greetings! Congratulations on your new baby.
I look forward into seeing more Gundam related posts like custom build, awesome paint jobs, modifications and conversions. :)

    ReplyDelete
  64. Congratulation Gundam guy! and good luck on being a new daddy! I'm sure you will be a great one!

The site is pretty much awesome already to me. Simple and accessible. Just keep on doing what you are doing! :D Congratulation again!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Congratulations :)

The new site will get plenty of hits from me seeing as your blog has replaced Ngee Khiong in my life, my only suggestion would be cataloguing reviews in one place so that they can be located easily, a lot like Dalong.net really.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Hi GG! I have to say that the growth of your sites is very inspiring to a blogger like me, when NK quit, I was lost(for like a day). I was worried that I would have to start scouring Japanese sites for info on gunpla and the industry, which would yield innaccurate results, as I don't know much Japanese. When I was pointed to your site I was so happy that someone was taking up the gauntlet! I really don't have much to say in terms of suggestions, just maybe keep all the reviews of a certain kit into one posting, I subscribe to your RSS with Google Reader and I always see all these similar postings of reviews, so maybe just update postings when new reviews pop up, instead of creating a whole new page? Good luck with Jon Jon, I have a 4 year old sister and I know they can be a handful!

    ReplyDelete
  67. I think the new blog looks great. It looks easy to navigate. I can't wait to see it in action as I have always enjoyed reading the gundam news.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I certainly wouldn't mind having a Mg Epyon so ... also congrats on fatherhood.

    ReplyDelete
  69. hi, congrats on your newtype baby =P
    well for the new blog
the template is great and all
but the sides and header is rather plain
if you want to leave the sides just like that than no prob, but you have to do something with the header(well it's my personal thinking anyway =D)

    ReplyDelete
  70. It is awesome that all these sites are being combined to one, more convenient site. I've always had to open up multiple tabs in order to view your daily updates. This just makes it alot more easy and user friendly for people who are interested in these products and figures. Your blog has been an inspiration for me keep up with my hobby of gunpla building, as you keep the excitement of all the latest gundam models that are coming out! Very excited for the new website formation and thanks for keeping everyone up-to-date on their hobby needs!

    ReplyDelete
  71. I like how it looks so far. The only idea I could think of is if maybe there was a way to tie in the gundamofficial specs and information on the mobile suits to their respective kits. That would be a great way to find out what the correct color scheme is.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I love how you post Gundam related stuff and Congrats for the new buddy :), I would recommend putting a commentator or insights on each post so everybody can have a slight information or we could have discussion on every post.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Congratulations on your newborn! =)
Your site currently has one of the more user friendly interfaces and is site I frequent the most for Gunpla related news.
However, an improvement which would greatly improve the browsing experience would be links on the right chatbox area showing recent posts.
This way, even if we happen to miss viewing your site for a few days, we do not have to keep clicking "view older posts", and can directly jump to the entry we are interested in.

    ReplyDelete
  74. It should be good as long as you don't use one of the default Blogger layouts (and based on the screenshot it doesn't look like it is). Looking forward to the new site and congratulations again.

    ReplyDelete
  75. congrats gg,newtype baby.hehe,im having a baby also and very excited to share my hobby...well reading ur blog evryday is my daily routine just keep it up take care always we love gg

    ReplyDelete
  76. Again Congratulation on the new Son, about the new website I must say from the early shot it looks promising. Keep it up.

    ReplyDelete
  77. hello congratulations on the kid i hope it grows up to be a healthy person

    ReplyDelete
  78. Congratulations! What exciting news -- a new baby and a website overhaul! I think it's a wise choice to merge the sites together, and I eagerly await the finished product.

Thanks for running this awesome contest, what a way to show your appreciation for the fans! ^_^

    ReplyDelete
  79. Congrats on the baby.

New site looks impressive, perhaps it could us a scrolling banner like on a news channel to highlight the most recent or the most important posts of the day. That way people could see important announcements without having to scroll down the page checking each one for something they are interested in.

    ReplyDelete
  80. GG Congratulations and wish your whole family the best.
A nice thing to have would be to have a page/section that allows for visitors who are interested in looking up tutorials for gunpla or links that leads to other sites that cater to those needs. An archive page is another suggestion, since it allows one to view the headlines in a list and find what they are looking for if they remember it was a few days/weeks/months ago but do not have the exact headline.
As well i feel that the whole site as a whole is very well developed, again congratulations sir

    ReplyDelete
  81. Congratulations on your new baby!
Maybe a way to let people submit images of paint jobs or converions as its always nice to see new creativity.
Also the filter system people have mentioned seems sound. Though I won't use it, most of my favourite things were found by accident.

    Tooldes

    ReplyDelete
  82. Congratz on your new baby!!
I think you should include an Photos tab and links to all the Gundam that you guys reviewed in a another tab.

    ReplyDelete
  83. congrats:D hope ur son will love gundam as you do :D

  84. Congrats,

Something I haven't really see before which would be great is a list of Kits (specifically for Gundam) grouped into their series, in order of their release date. This Would be a great tool for collectors and fans who want to see what they are missing from their collection.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Congratulations!

It would be great to have categories for model reviews, forum for discussions, and model building tips.

    ReplyDelete
  86. congratz on the your new baby.

as for suggestions for the new site (other than how it looks now) would be easy access to all GG blogs on one site? like maybe not having to go to another blog for specifics (i.e. kamen rider GG blog and Mech GG blog) having all on one site would be nice.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Congratulations on your new baby!
I would suggest for the new GG infinite some form of rewards system for members, or just give out small coupons to members every now and then (like $5 coupons for your store on birthdays, holidays, etc.) I hope I didn't take anyones ideas about this.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Congrats on the baby boy. I love the new design for the new blog, maybe a section to inform people when the next episodes of new Toku series and the new gundam Series are up or a section for episode descriptions would be good.

    ReplyDelete
  89. GG congrats again and i'm certainly looking forward to your new site. i love what you've done from the beginning with your first fb page and you're just continuing to evolve. its great!

anyways i think you should do a lot of work with menus on the title bar. keep the reviews in and maybe compile and organize them so people can use the new site as a reference point (similar to dalong) it would take some time but i think it would be worth it.

    good luck man!

    ReplyDelete
  90. It would be great if you added a forum/message board to your webpage so we can show off and discuss all the goods we buy from you!

    ReplyDelete
  91. first off I join the congrats many have provided in having a new baby, so, congrats!!

There's actually two suggestions I would love seeing applied, GC has started to become rather useful as a shop and I can see it becoming further more, now, onto the suggestions

1- while it is understandable because of the little time this store has been opened, a bigger arrange of offerings would make it even more attractice, meaning, a bigger catalogue of past models as well as new ones, possibly the inclusion of 1/72 kotobukiya zoids and nendoroid among other things, this would make the shop have a wider appeal

2- "on demand models" some models are hard to come by and must be expenssive to have in stock, specially if they are not requested too often, for example the PG line, so, adding a form, much like the part replacement service, to be able to request for a specific model would help have a bigger appeal plus would cut down costs on having to stock rare or not-as-popular models

that's my two cents, looking forward to see the shop grow and again, congrats!

  92. Awesome rehash on the site, and congratulations to your newborn dude! Someone would take care of your collection now someday hehe.

About the site? Looks pretty darn good. Keep the most searched items on the side of the page, links to the blog but I hope the search engine would be efficient. Can't stress this enough.

I've encountered far too many sites where the search engine is really crappy.

And the reviews! Man oh man, this is the 1st place I look at whenever there's something I wanna check out! A database of reviews, or better, painted and unpainted reviews would be awesome! :)

    Cheers!

    ReplyDelete
  93. I have a few suggestions for you to make...

    1. Make a new mandatory sign in system. We need a way to reduce spam bots, and for contests to make it fair so people can't post multiple times for multiple entries.

    2. The cbox needs to move so that it's easier to access on the site. Instead of having to scroll down so much, it'd be better to keep it up higher on the page.

    3. Reduce the clutter. What I mean is that you should post links to your resources & other channels in a separate "Links" tab on the website instead of posting them 1 by 1 in as big picture icon links on the right hand side. It makes the site more tedious to go through since, again, there is too much scrolling up and down.

    4. Have weekly or daily polls on Gundam stuff, videogames, anime, etc.

    5. Have like a tips & suggestion section on the site for GunPla kit building. It will help a lot of beginners to get into properly constructing GunPla kits and painting them (hand, spray, or airbrush). Give a list of things we'll need, brand/model of the items we need, etc. I don't think there's really a good consolidated & streamlined website that has info like that. It might better if you could also create a GundamGuy YouTube channel and post videos on GunPla tips & building tips, new stuff you get in at your store, upcoming items, user submitted videos, model kit reviews, modeling tool reviews, paint reviews, show off your office/warehouse for those interested, etc

    6. Have an online forum & IRC channel.

    7. Sell Gundam Guy T-Shirts. =P

    8. Have more contests with more chances for more people to win. To those who enter but do not win, give something small out anyway (like candy, Gundam Guy magnet/pencil, etc)

    9. Make sure the search engine is good, or at least organize your articles/posts to the website with more specific/streamlined tags to make it easier for us to find.

    ReplyDelete
  94. congrats on the new kid :D
it would be nice if you could add like a filter bar at the top. having reviews, scans, latest model, etc filtered makes browsing a bit easier. also it would be nice to have at the side a weekly mecha build or an editors choice :D

    ReplyDelete
  95. 10. Make your prices more competitive to those selling on Amazon & eBay as well as other online retailers like Gundam Store & More, HobbyWave, etc. Hell, I think you should just go and sell stuff on Amazon as well. Try to get "Fulfillment By Amazon" so that Amazon Prime users can enjoy free 2 day shipping. =P

    ReplyDelete
  96. Congratulations on the new baby and good luck with the new format. One suggestion I would have might be to condense the posts further so there is more information available on one page. Also, maybe color code the posts as to whether it pertains to Gundam, Kamen Rider, etc. . .

    ReplyDelete
  97. totally agree on above, xxnike629xx,
suggestion number 5 is the most interesting one, Gundam News is great, but looking at awesome works of yours makes me feel welcomed to this hobby!!

btw, a "catagorized blog may be?" so that we dont have to scroll through or search (which doesnt give what we want) all the time.

    CONGRATZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  98. Gratz once again on Jon Jon!

As for the update, I think it looks good. The red logo looks too tall. I think you could compress it by about 25% vertically without changing the size of the logo image. (Maybe cropping it a bit, depending on how much "white space" you have around it.) Unless you're planning to put some sort of background image or banner/ad or something to take up all that extra space.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Yoa, congratulations for your new baby^_^, personally the only suggestion that I can give is
dont give up on doing this thing man, you know there are people who already left blogging about gundam related news and we dont want to loose gundamguy too, the community of gunpla modellers only grows because people like you and the whole ggteam helps to spread gunpla information, there's no unity without a leader you know, I'm not saying that you guys are the leader of this gupla community but one thing for sure, you guys make difference in this gundam community,.

    ReplyDelete
  100. I suggest that new products get a side bar on the left hand bar of the new blog. I also suggest that all related blogs are given a tab at the top called: related blogs. I really thinks this is good for those of us who like to read all your blogs in one place. Next time, GG Infinite should get and Ios app or a Windows 7 phone app.... because that would be useful for on the go people such as myself......

    ReplyDelete
  101. Congratulation on newborn baby.

for every post, you should labels them spesifically for easier access (e.g. for 00 Games post, post 00, gaming, gundam or for reviews: the kit's name, bandai, hobby, Gundam Model Kit)

as for the new website, the GG Infinite logo looks prominent, the background is alright. so no comment.. for now.. :D

model building tips & tutorials should be good, and you can advertise your shop too, like tell them to buy "this" from GG Infinite.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Congratz on your baby, now as for my suggestion, the logo is a bit to plain, I hope you add a little something similar to the logo you have on this site. Also I think your page is a bit to thin maybe you could elongate it a little. It looks as if the side bar is clumped up too close the thumbnail window. Well that all for now I'll post if anything comes up. Congratulations on your new baby once again, and thank you for giving us the opportunity to take part in the celebration through this contest.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Hey Congrats on the newborn! couldnt be any happier for you! =)

a suggestion for the new website is to try and create tabs for each type of merchandise. Like say you have Gundams, Anime Figurines, Kamen Rider, Magazine, you can try and create a tab for each of these and under each one you can have other sub-tabs that are for pre-orders, new in stock, and re-stocks. And you can just have links on the front page that direct customers to the various blogs that you keep. That way if people visit your online store they can just click the links to find out more about the certain products that they are interested in.

Congrats again on the newborn baby!

    ReplyDelete
  104. The one thing I can possibly think of that I don't already see on your sample image is a tab or section devoted to reviews! Although that may fall under models, you should divide it up among your own reviews/model builds and links to those displayed on your news feed. I've been shaking ideas around for about an hour now, and this is the only thing that really comes to mind...
I am digging the "Americanized" logo look. I could give it that metal-grain (like the official NA one) look if you'd like...

    ReplyDelete
  105. Congratulation on the new born BABY!! For the design of the website, I'm already love it!! I hope the website provide tutorial about building or modify gunpla model kits.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Okay, don't count this one, but how about a tab for your blog roll? That would keep the front page from being 12 stories high, right?

    ReplyDelete
  107. Congrats again on your newborn baby GG!

Although I mostly follow your Gundam blog, i like Kamen Rider and Sentai also. I don't know how many people follow your Kamen Rider blog, but i would think expanding the giveaways to the SH Figuarts would be cool one day. Would be awesome also if you could expand and get your hands on those Tamashii Limited Web orders for the shop too.

Other than that, keep up the good work with the blogs and don't let any trolls put ya down if there are any :D

    ReplyDelete
  108. Firstly Congrats on your newborn baby!

For my suggestion, i think its great to have a your own website. But, for me i thinks its better u use blogger themes. why? coz for me blogger themes easier to be seen. And background color, for me black is better.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Congrats on your baby.

Hope you can still have time to post about gundam.

    ReplyDelete
  110. hmmm not sure what else to add in the site cause all the essential things are in there already.
maybe a gundam image that can go with the top banner?
    and congrats on your baby!!

    ReplyDelete
  111. You should make the layout more green...like a Zaku :)

    ReplyDelete
  112. welcome aboard sergeant jon jon! have a good life and make your parents proud! hehe.
    about the site :
1.i suggest you put the latest headlines on the top so viewers will know immediately the latest news.
2.the background is so HL* hehe with the red and white combination.. how about red blue yellow to represent GUNDAM itself?
3.draw some mascot maybe could help lighten up the site.. hehe

    ReplyDelete
  113. Hmm..
Seeing the screenshot of your new in-progress GG Infinite website, here are my comments :

    1) 1st impression, you don't really want to use that background do you ? :D.. Looks dull and old, I suppose it's just a prototype..
I guess the banner also just prototype ? You could use current Gundam Guy banner, its already good and most people familiar with it.

    2) Move Latest Headlines to top, that's what I usually looking for.. :) Videos, Editor Choices, or other sections can come after that.
Latest Headlines should also incorporate news from Mecha Guy & Kamen Rider GG.
I often missed to check those 2 because currently you put those with small screenshot & small section on top right corner.. :(

    3) The sidebar, I agree with others. Current Gundam Guy sidebar is too cluttered, and waaay too long to bottom.
You should simplify the sidebar in new site design.
But don't remove the chatbox please.. :) Current chatbox is already good.. =)

That's it for now, I'll add more later following your progress.. :)
Good luck for the new site..
    ^__^

    ReplyDelete
  114. I think the latest news and videos are already enough contents for the Homepage. Maybe you can put navigation bars on the left side for other contents. You may also want to add most viewed news and videos for the viewers to know the "what's hot" topics.

    Good luck!! :D

    ReplyDelete
  115. Congratulation on your newborn baby.

    Feedback

I'm loving the design of the website so far. As for the homepage, I think it be cleaner just to only have the highlight (assuming that what it is called to show editors choice and maybe competition details) while the rest of the main body show the latest news. Something like how this blogspot it now. As for the video section you have in the homepage, just leave that to the user to decide if they want to go to that section (through the navigation). After all the homepage is there to show the people what this website is about rather than clunking up different aspect. Having the video section in the homepage would be kind of a waste of space if you don't intend to upload a lot of video (well I'm not too sure but I don't see much video being shown in gundaguy and mechaguy). There are people who would prefer to have a long list of news and if they want a specific category (gundam, mecha, anime, game and etc), they will just click on it on the navigation. If it were me, I would just leave the black box to the highlight I previously mentioned. The black box just contrast with the website.

    Suggestion

How about adding a section dedicated to teaching people about building model kit? providing tutorials and such. Maybe you could allow user to participate in this if you don't have the time to do this yourself. Also maybe to have a gallery showing your own and other people images (as long as it is related to this site of course).

Sorry if I structure this bad, it's really early in the morning.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Congrats on the new born!! It is truly amazing that you can handle a new kid and continue to work on this site! haha
But like the others said, I'd really appreciate a filter function somehow. Does blogger support that kind of function? especially applying preferences if we have a Google account.
All in all, good luck and add oil in everything!

    ReplyDelete
  117. Congratulation on the baby! and to the continual successful work on all the websites! Please "add oil"!
I really think you can add some filter functions. Does Google blogger support that? Especially for users with a Google accounts. It'll be really helpful for frequent visits.
And can you put the "New Post" and "Old Post" links on top too? sometimes it's hard to skip through pages when you have to scroll to the bottom and wait for all the images to load.
All in all, good work and thanks to the team!

    ReplyDelete
  118. Avid fan on the no 1 source of everything gunpla as this is my first post here.

The site looks really good but as a blogger myself, i would like to make some suggestions in a perspective of a reader. First of all, I think you should fully utilise your space ala the current blog. It will look better if you wider your web margin with an eye catching font. I think your new site will look good in black also. Three columns wall would be good as I prefer your header titles to be on the side as well as the latest entries. Features, Latest, Comments & Tags should appear by itself in their own column box for easy site navigation. Not many of us want to dig for info, normally we search and click. I prefer latest headlines to be on the top follow by others to make it relevant with the latest news. Your blog name should have some site description to make it interesting and professional. I would like also to see some new section on magazine scans, databook, interesting pics/character introduction in manga (if copyright permitted) and of course wallpapers and these categories should be on top. You can also collect independent reviews from others and collect in one section for any particular gunpla models. Tutorials on basic process building your kit is a must.

A lot to ask but I don't expect to see all but at least some of it might appeal the fans of various generation. Congrats on the new baby, welcome to the parenthood club and keep up the good and generous work:)

    ReplyDelete
  119. My main suggestion for the new site based on what you've said about combining the various sites and from the screenshot is to make sure it's easily for readers to filter the content or in some other way be able to go directly to the content they want. For instance, readers of this blog may not be interested in the content from the Kamen Rider blog, but if all the content from these several subject areas is all mixed together, it becomes more difficult for all your readers to find what they're looking for.

This being the case, there'll need to be at least clear divisions of the different content streams, and preferably a way to view them in separate sections. Might even be best to allow users to specify which sections they prefer to have displayed, so somebody who comes only for Gundam only sees Gundam.

    ReplyDelete
  120. PLEASE try to put"mecha FAN ART of the days"

    ReplyDelete
  121. Its kinda hard when you apply the rules for making the account, since everybody will suspicious on blogs with no content, yet register on the comments. We might not know which one is dummy or real, :P

Anyway, congratulations on the newborn baby ! Hope for the success happy life for little one and the family, hehe

    ReplyDelete
  122. Congratulation and looking forward to more gundam related stuff from this website

    ReplyDelete
  123. One day, I too hope to be blessed with a kid or two. Congrats, man!

The new site looks a whole lot cleaner and more open. You might want to use stylish Gunpla pics (that change at random every time you load the psge) instead of the GG Infinite logo as your background watermark, though, to make it more interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Perhaps having a weekly/monthly special where one chosen kit is on sale for 10%-20% off might be an incentive for customers who are on the cusp of placing an order, but can't bring themselves to buy just one kit to finally keel over and get more than one item :) I know I'm susceptible to that. All the time.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Congratulations on the newborn! In terms of layout, I just wish that there's a tab to filter so that I can look at Gundam / Figure / Other Sci Fi news easily! Hope there's gonna be a pic of the newborn soon too :)

    ReplyDelete
  126. Congrat on your new born baby and great to hear you guys putting up a new template. i already see the design but does curios if you guys trying to put everything into one blog? Anyway, my suggestion is the Editor Choice should be reduce to three rather having six or better mixed with headline.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Well I personally like how it is now, but whatever changes happen, I'll still be a follower 8D

    ReplyDelete
  128. First of all I'd like to congratulate you and your new born child. The new site looks great, separating one section exclusively for Gundams and another for other mecha is a great idea. It gives us a dedicated page for Gundams and it also allows us to get the latest news on other mechs as well.. Great job! The overall layout of the site seems better (not that there's anything wrong with this one). One suggestion though, is it possible to put a tab for Manga?

    ReplyDelete
  129. WOW... SO many entries...

First of all, congratulation to a new daddy in the Gunpla world! Of course in the next couple of years time you might wanna have a locking shelf to put all your collections in it, wouldn't want to have baby hands on it and getting it... well... lets call it weathering(from the slobber) and battle damage(literally, refer to my Bearguy in my previous post =.=')

But all in all, its our future generation of modelers and we can teach them! XD Not only its fun to do it, but can evolve their creativity to a whole new dimension! Trust me I know... My baby girl is tiching to get her hands on my collections and they are fearing for their nano-circuits! LoL!!

    Now on to business.

THe new webpage looks awfully excellent, always love the hint of red here and there, video section are very important for hints/tips, showcases, reviews and new releases.

Are there gonna be any game updates too? Not that I'm playing anymore video games, but it's nice to see some of their developments.

The background template is nice, kinda remind me like a caution decal haha.

I can't say much of the rest but it looks good! Keep up the good work!!! I'll be rootin' for ya!!

Congrats again for Jon Jon!! Coincidently I nicknamed my girl Cha Cha a couple of month after she was born, that was her first word LOL!!

    ReplyDelete
  130. hi gg.

congratulation on the new addition to your family. :)

the design of the new site looks great.
and i certainly would be glad if u added some fan section.

or maybe things like works of fans or something like that. it would be great.

so that we can showcase our works too. :)
best of luck to your team in bringing us this new website.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Congrats on your newborn baby GG! :)

What I can say of GG Infinte new web design is actually good enough, though i have to say that the background's a little bit too plain, I guess you should try putting some wallpapers related to the hobby so it won't be boring.

And i notice that if I filters on Gunpla kits (or other kits), you didn't file them under their series, for example MG->UC 0083-> GM Cannon 2, as it is a little bit hard especially if you forgot their exact name. :D

And lastly, I think it's better if you put a space for reader-submitted finished kits, to provide some inspiration to fellow modellers.

    ReplyDelete
  132. I love the new design of the website! And Congratulations on your child!

I like how the website keeps it fairly simple to navigate and clean looking.

However, I have a question. Is the background with the "GGInfinite News" and the stripes the official background? because I would recommend that you change the stripes since looking at stripes on a computer monitor could potentially make someone dizzy. Thats my only thing that I'm a bit worried about, otherwise the new site looks great!

    ReplyDelete
  133. Wow! I am looking forward to see your new site at work! Good job and God Bless on Baby Jon Jon!

    ReplyDelete
  134. Congratulations again and the new site does look nice.

One thing I would change is the background image (GG Infinite [news]), to a cleaner image. The lines are a bit distracting for me :)

    Cheers!

    ReplyDelete
  135. congratulations on your new baby and the new site.
You should change the Website's background image and banner could use a better design.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Congrats on you baby jonjon! Hope we can some HQO Parts in your website as well.

    ReplyDelete
  137. First of all congratulations!

About the new website: from what i see it looks great but what i would like to see is a twitter account attached to it that will update as soon as a new post is "posted" :)

    ReplyDelete
  138. Congratulations on your newborn son! It would be good if your update your project's status at the side of the website. Also, I hope Jon Jon will grow up to be a great person as you are!

    ReplyDelete
  139. congrats on your son lets hope he loves him self some gundam when he's all grown up

but i think their should be a more social interface linking accounts things like that and maybe some lists rather than random things down the side but so far it looks great

    ReplyDelete
  140. i'd say, the template looks good. the color scheme is nice, very subtle to one's view. logo is nice and simple, and materials are well organized and doesnt look messy

in addition, congrats again on your newborn :D

    ReplyDelete
  141. Gratz on ur new son :D u should be proud!

Some more tips, or WIPs would be so nice, rather than the same images of any new gundam..(like the RG aile strike..i believe i saw like 15 announcements of that one lol)

    ReplyDelete
  142. Maybe you can add some sections for fans to show off their work. But overall, the site is looking good so far. I'm highly looking forward to it !

    ReplyDelete
  143. i have enjoy to getting gunpla related news from your blog, here some my opinion, have a magazine scan section will be great and more gundam news like mangga novel etc,and congraz ur new born baby

    ReplyDelete
  144. and forget about this, have more tutorial on GUNPLA please XD

    ReplyDelete
  145. Congrats on the Baby!! Tutorials on your gunpla,WIP's and reader submissions would be nice!

    ReplyDelete
  146. Congrats on your new baby boy! May his soul not be weighed down by gravity lol, love the Blog, best one I've read yet and glad to hear your expanding and consolidation plans! Best of luck to your new family!

    ReplyDelete
  147. Congratulations, firstly, and what I feel would make your new site, as well as this blog better would be a youtube account. I think you should start making some youtube videos, reviews of gunpla and whatnot, and link that to the new site, as well as this one. Maybe when someone wants to purchase something from the new GG infinite store, they can have an image gallery of the suit, as well as an embedded video review made by you guys. You could also link this to other reviews such as rrobbert184 to boost each others viewer support.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Congratulations on the newborn. I pray that he'll grow up strong and kind like the protagonists in the Gundam series.

For the blog, I like it the way it is. It is fairly easy to navigate around the site. My computer is old and it cannot handle websites that relies heavily on flash contents; that sometimes make my computer crash. But when I visit this site, it loads quickly and doesn't hinder me in my Gundam News time.

On the new GG Infinite, it'll be awesome to have an option to "set aside" which just literally sets the chosen item on the side in a box that's hidden out on the edge of the screen and when the mouse is on top of the screen, it'll come out. When items are set aside, it can quickly be compared to other items without clicking them and just by pointing at it.

    Here's also some additional suggestions.

More pictures of the item. Additional pictures of the toy will be extremely helpful. Sometimes when I'm browsing a particular item, I wanted to see more details that the toy will have.

Item description. It's always a pleasure to read the details of the toy.

Item comment. Getting feedback from the customers is great way to know if a particular item is doing well or not or how popular it is. It is also interesting to see what customers suggest what items to other customers.

    ReplyDelete
  149. being a fan of gundam, kamen rider and other mecha, having a site that shows them all in one place will be great.

personally i would prefer that the Editor's Choice section will be restricted to 1 row only so there will be more space for the Latest Headlines section.

lastly, i hope that the site will be multi-tab friendly...

    ReplyDelete
  150. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Perhaps more material for non Gundam mecha series would be great since i still find it rather lacking. It doesn't have to get same attention with gundam and probably some of the series i would like to see more would be SRW or Five Star Stories

    ReplyDelete
  152. Jon Jon is a nice nickname!

Here's a suggestion I'd really like, for product pages have a link below to show comments and ratings from users who have bought the item. I think it's always helpful for buyers to know how other customers thought of the product before making a purchase.

    ReplyDelete
  153. First of, Congratulations once again for the newborn. May the Lord bless him and his entire family with good health, fortune and love! BTW love the cute nick name xD ! Jon Jon! xD !

Second of, about the site. I don't have much to say then just a simple suggestion to keep the Headlines on top of the Editor's choice! Also keep the video section floating or just hang it upto the side. Best of just make a gif. about the videos and keep a slideshow app. on the top!
Then what about the stock list! I mean there should be a bar containing the list of the new releases also mention about whether there instock or not! I think mentioning it in the news headlines might work but, giving it its own space is too good of an plan in my my opinion!

    ReplyDelete
  154. I just noticed that the drawing date for this is on my birthday....*hint-hint* ;D

    ReplyDelete
  155. Yay, really excited for the new GG blog–KR and Gundam are my two passions =3.

Congrats on the newborn, BTW! Hmm... she was born on the 27th(ish)... so that makes her a Cancer!

    ReplyDelete
  156. There are a couple of improvements I can see, in my opinion.

-Latest Headlines should be above Videos and Editor's Choice, people tend to want to look for the headlines first, and other things later.
-Editor's Choice and Videos could be each 3 columns a piece, and being right next to each other.
-You could have the background, instead of being tiled, as one large, non-scrolling image, with all the thumbnails' areas having transparency so that you can see the background.
-Instead of the above suggestion, you could also have it as it is now, but with 2 tall bar images instead of tiles, tiles usually look bad.
-The ability to change between different page looks. Some people like darker web pages over bright ones.
-The new logo looks a tad cheap, but hey, templates, etc.

There are a couple of others things I can't really think of at the moment, but whatever someone else will eventually think of it, that's what multiple fans are for :D

Also, congrats on the new baby!

  157. Congrats on the new baby :)

i'd suggest to extend toy lines such as nendoroids figmas and other stuff and post reviews in the website and a page where the viewers can look on what are the figures to be released on that month and what specific date

  158. Congratulations on the new site - my suggestion to improve the site would be - with the growing numbers of builders and collectors, I believe it would be really great if you can provide an area on your site for builders and collection to share/post pictures of their kits/figures/models to share and discuss with everyone who visits the site (I know it sounds like a cliche since their so many out there, but from browsing around for a while you eventually run into posts that come straight from here) so I thought it would be great just to have it all here together.

    - Again Congratulations -

  159. hi gundamguy =) i love ur website coz always with the up-to-date information on gundam and gunpla
i hope u will hv ur own .com website on the future =)
    fully support

  160. Congratulation on the baby ^^

On the new site here is my advice:
keep it user friendly to buyers and also
try to have a unique and simple background
I forgot to mention that quick response to the
system that's all ^^ Congratulations again

  161. Congratz for the the parents of the baby. Wish you all the best. And let the new baby be another gundam fan ^^
New website design of the site will be looking good. Quite simple and elegant, just like I prefer.

  162. Congratulations on your bundle of joy!

Regarding the new site, I'd like to see popular topics or posts displayed, also if you can include recently posted comments that would be great.

    ReplyDelete
  163. A suggestion for the website. When you view pictures of a product you can already go to the next pictures using arrow keys and clicking on the picture. I think it would be better to make clicking on the zoomed in picture to close the zoomed in view instead of scrolling down to the little x to exit.

  164. Hmm, maybe its just me, but the design feels abit too complicated.

Video section would feel a little redundant unless its going to be updated frequently.

As for the Editor's choice column, well, I felt that the column's abit too big and thus grabs more attention together with the dynamic banner(s) than the rest...

  165. First and again, Congratulations from the Tember Gundam (Russ) family! We
are so happy for your family. The biggest thing I would like to see changed
is the length of the side bar (right side) on the blog. It is so long and
some things haven't been updated in a long time. Maybe use a bar up top to
categorize people's blogs, the GG WIPS, GG's awesome finished works.
Organizing a way to share other peoples blogs (which I truly appreciate) and
their works, while allowing all of us to see upcoming news about the hobby
we love so much. There is so much that we gain from using your site and the
fact that we don't have to dig around looking for information. May I suggest
reaching out to the Gunpla community and building an FAQ/Turtorial Master.
There is so much knowledge out that a contest to see who scribes the best,
or pla-plates the best way. Just a thought.

    ReplyDelete
  166. Although it is one whole site, I suggest an option to view information separately, like news just for a specific hobby branch: gundam, kamen rider, or mecha as not everyone may be interested in the other hobbies. This allows for easier browsing too.
    Btw gratz

  167. In all honesty, I don't really care what the site looks like or anything like that, since I mostly just follow the site through the RSS feed. So all I can really suggest is maybe having multiple feeds for the different categories.

    ReplyDelete
  168. i would for once like to win something. and why cant it be gunpla. I'm all for this so please i hope i get drawn.

    thank you

    and congratulations

    ReplyDelete
  169. First of all, congrats in your newly born baby. You deserve such blessing bro.

Next, about my comments, so far, I can see that you used white background and that's better than black, IMO. Since I'm a red Gunpla collector, I loved the color all over. I also liked to see the videos section, the handy and helpful bar on the side and the latest headlines.

Moving on my suggestions, the editor's choice seem not to fit my liking. I think this should be replaced by something like "reader's choice" instead.

Anyway, I'm excited to see your new site and and more blessings to come, peace and out :)

  170. I hope ur site can offer the goodies with very reasonable price than other competitors.

    ReplyDelete
  171. i like this layout design, it seems less like a blog and more like a website which is good. I agree with redblondemean saying that editor's choice could be reader's choice. Maybe for promotion you could do little weekly prizes in addition to these monthly prizes. I want the Psp gundam vs gundam extreme vs real bad lol. Congrats on your newborn baby.

    ReplyDelete
  172. I already have gundam next but i could settle for another one

    ReplyDelete
  173. when will jon jon start building his first? haha, congratulations! =]

    ReplyDelete
  174. Again, congrats on the baby.

I think you need a way to make it easy for us to view the subject(s) we want to view. If we don't care about transformers (to say) then don't let us have 4 pages of that to go through to get to gundams.

    ReplyDelete
  175. Congrats on the Newborn!
Now, onto suggestions. I'd like to see scans of the images on the box under the product. Especially the straight built OOB scans and painted ones. Banner is minimalist but is still a little plain.

    ReplyDelete
  176. Congratulations once again :)

It's a very creative layout you've come up with so far.I think it could be an interesting idea if people could somehow create an account and through buying merchandise accumulate GG points in it , with which later they could get some sort of discount on prices. And why not even use these accounts to participate in some sort of GG Forum section where they could share their progress and views on kits and social activities?
I wish You all the best in the future Team GG ! :)

    ReplyDelete
  177. Imo, the banner seems a little bland and could use just a bit of spicing up. Other than that I think the over all layout looks great and can't wait to see it. Once again congrats on the little bundle of joy!

    ReplyDelete
  178. the first impression for me is the outlook of the blog. For the current blog design is kinda black and white, so i would be prefer the image share in the topic. Which it is more attractive to me, to view more on the blog. Secondly would be the information shared regarding to the gundam, i found it very useful and helpful as well. Overall i am very pleased and grateful to viewing this blog. last but not least i would also like to congratulation for the new born baby ^^. like ur banner as well, very creative.

    ReplyDelete
  179. i'm really like the replacement service
for me who live outside japan, this services is really helpful

until now, when i missed a part, scratch built is my only option, but now, it's no problem anymore

    thank you Team GG

    ReplyDelete
  180. congratulations, i think the site is already perfect, just keep it clean and simple

    ReplyDelete
  181. Congrats!

As for the website, I am ashamed to say that I have yet to try out purchasing stuff from your store yet, so I am not too samiliar with it, and probably not the one to speak. But I notice that currently all products are priced in US Dollars only, which is fine really, but I always think adding an currency convertor option over the whole site would be very useful.

It doesn't need to cover a lot of different currency, maybe just Canadian Dollars, Euros and Austalian Dollars? It doesn't needs to be minute accurate either. Just a rough estimate so that people not familiar with currency won't be scratching their head all day.

    ReplyDelete
  182. Congrats GG! Your blog has been the best gunpla news blog around since ngeekhiong closed his blog.I think new site is really simple and easy to navigate, just dont make your blog another kotaku :(, the wrost blog interface i've seen.

    ReplyDelete
  183. Hey GG, congrats on the new addition to your family! Best of luck to you from your fans here in California.

Concerning your site, I'd recommend a "light" version for easier browsing via mobile devices. Personal profiles for your shoppers that make suggestions based on their previous purchases might be good too.

    ReplyDelete
  184. first off congrats GG on your new baby, and for GG Infinite site it seems good and effective, all the links you need are just a click away and user friendly, just keep it updated always with upcoming new kits.

God Bless GG and more Power!!!

  187. I like the way the site is already, an improvement is just awesome! Congratulations yet again!

    ReplyDelete
  188. the sample website is looking good, but the big spaces on left and right sides need to be filled with something.
and there should be a section of the site dedicated to hobby magazine scans.

    ReplyDelete
  189. Congratulations for your baby! I hope that he will be a great Gundam-Lover some day in the future :D

For your new website, I think that you should divide it in 4 sections, one for GundamGuy, one for MechaGuy, one for Kamen Rider GG, and the other one for your online shop! anyway, when it will be finished, i'll be happy to give any other suggestions that I might think of!

    ReplyDelete
  190. congrats on the baby! hope he will inherit all of your Gunpla abilities! haha then grow up to be an engineer and create a working gundam! lol.

as for the site...hmm. looks great so far. i dont have any new suggestions but its great!

  191. Congrat on the baby! The new site looks great. It seems to contain both the info for the blog and the info for the shop. And it looks like it is easy to access too! I am definitely looking forward to it!

  192. Just keep the new site simple while easy to navigate at the same time:D
