  1. "Kai Kai"??? If I'm not mistaken 'Kai' means 'recover' or 'restore', right?

    1. Yes.
In the story, the Crossbone X1 Kai, a modified X1, is modified once again for the pilot of the X3. He names it Crossbone X1 Kai, Kai. Better known as "Skullheart"."

    2. That's because the Full Cloth is Seabook Arno's already restored XM-X1 Kai, which was again restored to be fitted with parts from Tobia Arronax's XM-X3 and the Crossbone Vanguaard's Flint. It's like the 4th upgrade that the XM-X1 has received in its entire lifetime.

    3. Its basically the X bone right before the full cloth
literally the same thing except it has the beam bow gun and the sword if im not mistaken

    4. More of, modified. And yes, the X1 had major modifications twice.

    5. It means "custom" or "improved"

    6. It's the repared/restored version of the X-1 Kai (basically it adds the X3's skull chest and Murasame Blaster.)

    7. Indeed it is X1 Kai Kai. Since this is the upgraded X1 Kai where the chest is modified into Skull like on X3.
      Kai = modify/revision
So you could say the Crossbone X1 is being modified twice into this variant.

    10. Not sure. But I do know that "Kai Kai" is what they name it after the end of the original manga. Also called "Skull Heart" at times I believe.

    11. no, it means customized or "changed". sometimes it just for indicate small upgrading. like zaku II kai, or gundam heavyarm kai

    12. Kai is modified/customized. Kai kai means it's modified again after crossbone x1 kai, but just call it by it nickname "skullheart" so it not sound so difficult to call.

    13. kai means custom i think
so its name is crossbone gundam x1 custom custom

    14. 改 kai means modified

    15. It means "revision", so this is a revised revision.

    16. Depends on how you spell it. The version used in mecha means reform, correct or change. So this is more like X-1 Modified Modified.

    17. That sounds right. It was called the "Kai Kai" after the end of the original series. Another (and better) name given to it was "Skull Heart" because of the ol' skull n' crossbones on it's chest.
It's an absolute crime that every single Crossbone variant is being released as P-Bandai. I want to see these things on store shelves dammit!

    18. Kai Kai was a repaired X-1 Kai with the parts from the X3 (its from Steel Seven). Sadly i dont see the X3 hand I-Field generator on this one... Bandai getting sloppy

    19. Yeah, it's weird, but that is what it was called in the manga.

    21. @Doubly
Well, if you want hguc skullheart, just buy hgbf x1 full cloth then ignore full cloth parts. It's exactly just normal x1 full cloth without modification, just have different color scheme.

  2. Kai also means 'modified' or 'improved', which is generally how it's used in Gundam. Skull Heart's a modification to the Crossbone X1 Kai, so it's Kai Kai

  4. The X1 was repaired as the X1 Kai, then repaired again as the X1 Kai Kai, and then modified into the X1 Kai Kai Skullheart

  5. kai means custom

  6. Actually mean custom or personalized!

  7. I believe in Jp culture that means "enhanced" "improved"

  8. Right. The x1 gets trashed badly twice in the manga. Hence "kai kai" the final version being "full cloth"

  9. Kai means custom if im nt mistaken
anyways i think the only difference compared to the normal x1 is different chest and armament
