  5. Zzzzz of course it's another RX-78-2.

  6. Looks like it's probably based on the RX-78 Ver. 2.0. The 3.0 would be pretty different.

    1. To me it's like both. the shoulder / torso joint is based on 3.0 while the elbow joint, arms, hands / manipulators and the rest are 2.0... would like to see the whole inner frame if it includes a core block or a core fighter.

    2. no wait, after careful inspection i was wrong, you're right its ver 2.0. the frames are the same

  9. MG ver. 2.0 frame. Is it the camera angle or the proportions look off

  10. Guys i think i have bad feeling about this. 1.) it use inner frame and articulation from 3.0 ( 80%) and 20% of 2.0. 2.) because so many part because based from 3.0 it will be loose in some area, i think it will be souldher, the ankle, the leg, waist ( u see the body, it doesnt have core fighter but it has that gimmick still ) and mounting weapon unit and the yelow ventilatiin for missiles. 3.) Well we can see from the picture, i think the ballance, well i cant say, hope it can stand ( because in the picture it use mg stand ). 4.) color, well it is right thought ( maybe some people dont want this color ( oh my eyes burn ) ) 5.) price? So what do you think guys?

    1. 1. No, its 100% modified 2.0 frame, look at the shoulder joint, i could tell its 2.0 frame, even the skirt joints resemble 2.0 frame, the elbows, hands, everyone have built v 2.0 could tell. 2. As i told you, its modified v 2.0 frame,.so it should be sturdy. 3. Yes it looks so back heavy, specially with that big bazooka, i think tye scale is bit off with the HG one. 4. I couldn't tell it's the real plastic color, it looks bit rough, i think its still prototype mold then be painted. 5. Reasonable price for MG i think

    2. Oh yeah, sorry i didnt know that, really sorry. I have mg 2.0 too but it break ( :"< ), yeah hope it will be solid . The gray and red color is like hg color -_- which is little dissapointing

  12. Ok. Here's the deal: You know when Bandai just pull something out of their asses at last moment, and seriously? Right now Bandai see's the MG Build Fighters line as their ultimate rehashing move. I mean WTF happened to the build burning? Your lead MS for the series? How about a MG powered GM cardigan or hell even another Mejin suit: The Kamfer amazing? Even if those are rehashes from older kits they seem like more a interesting release than another RX 78, AGAIN HELL even the fucking RX 79 EZ SR for a ground type 2.0
Don't get me wrong I appreciate this upcoming release its just that every day I see more P-bandai bullshit and more LAME rehash releases (by lame I mean that they don't even are enough to guarantee purchase, looking at you Blue Frame type D) and just 2 or 3 MG kits that are completely new or new enough (note: up there isn't a wishlist but examples) and even sometimes there are kits that feel incomplete on the accessory department, just like certain effect partst for certain MG and RE, more over for that RE

    1. My guess is, they still find the method for mg version of build burning which is super poseable as hg counterpart without sacrifice the kit sturdiness CMIIW.

  13. What the---? They made an MG for Amazing Red Warrior but still no MG G-Self and Build Burning? This is crazy

  14. I figured the first MG for Build Fighters Try would be Build Burning :(

  15. Wait, WHAT?!?!?!?! Just had the HG of this guy and now it's in MG form now? Hory Shiet, must get!! plus let it still be customizable so that I can satisfy my raging urge to give this guy a Striker Pack in MG form.

  16. the proportions....no!

  17. come on mg tryon 3(more likely try burning and denial get one first but who knows) , I also I know its wishful thinking but I would love a pg of either tryon3 or amazing red warrior

    1. Considering it's based on the RX-78 2.0, my guess would be no.

  19. I hope all the armour will be secure unlike the MG Full Armour RX -78 2. Looking forward to it so far, can't wait to see more than a painted prototype.

  20. I totally don't understand why they chose to release this kit much less for that price. I didn't watch the show so maybe it is incredibly popular. But looking at it is a really mediocre design. I wouldn't even buy it for half the list price.

I could understand a MG G-Self since it is the hero suit for it's series. I could understand a MG of the Burning Gundam of the leads from Build. But this makes no sense.

Now if they did a MG of the Lightening Zeta I'd buy it in a heartbeat. But not this.

  21. So this over more important MSes from the series like build burning or lightning gundam. Wow, bandai can't be that fundamentally stupid?

    ReplyDelete
  22. I don't know man. Was the HGBF release popular enough to warrant this? I mean... I could be the outlier here but I think the suit itself really struggles to capture the divine aura that the anime counterpart had (without some heavy-duty metallic painting and additional color separation, at least). Seems people are really please though, which is good.

  23. Guys i dont know to say. But i mean where is mg build burning? It is main mobile suit along fumina is mobile suit and lightning gundam right? So why red warrior now to be first lead in this new series? I mean build burning gundam is main, and red is just ee nah i cant say, but i think bandai make a new stratergy to suprises us with new gimmick and special apprrance and effect part and frame design for build burning? I dont know ~______~ , so guys what do you think about this mg red warrior, i want hear and see ur reply!

    1. simple, cause bandai already has a mold of rx-78-2, which is a dead ringer to the amazing red warrior
      so bam, remolds

  24. My first question regarding with this MG Red Warrior is why the hell Bandai uses the low quality design from the Try Builder Fighter anime and not the GFF version designed by Hajime Katoki? The Builder Fighter version clearly isn't as detailed and articulated enough by MG standards, which would definitely render this MG unworthy.

The second question is about whether Bandai is planning to use Builder Fighter series as a life float buoy to cover up their failure to churn out new ideas and stagnation of the Gundam franchise.

I can see why only now Bandai release MG Hyakkushiki ver 2.0, which tap on Char Aznable's popularity with the release of MSG. Origins

    1. I'm willing to bet the non-Build Fighters Red Warrior will be PBandai

    2. The Red Warrior's design has been around longer than Katoki has been employed as a mechanical artist. Kunio Okawara designed the Red Warrior in the early 80s for the Plamo Kyoshiro manga (BTW, very first Gundam AU, and it was about kids fighting with Gunpla).

Also, this is isn't the Red Warrior, it's the Amazing Red Warrior, which is a variant of Okawara's original design with subtle differences. It's being released because GBFT is still fresh in people's minds, and Bandai also never misses an opportunity to recycle the 2.0 frame, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, unless you have multiple variants of the 2.0, and feel the repetitiveness of building what is essentially the same kit multiple times. Despite the 2.0's simple, anime accurate armor design, its internal engineering is still top notch by today's standards, despite the fact that it was released in 2008. The ver. Ka. design, while nice looking on the outside, may not be engineered nearly as well as the 2.0 (I've only built the 2.0. Someone else who has both the 2.0 and the ver. Ka and can compare, please provide input).

Granted, it's odd that it's the first MG from the series, considering that it wasn't even one of the mains, but like I said, the base kit was already readily available, and therefore, much easier and faster to put out on the market than a completely new mold.

    3. @Anon 10:41

In terms of technology, 2.0 is better than the ver Ka, The Katoki version still suffered a lot of the pre-Nu ver Ka kits like lack of articulation and such. I think that the 2.0 would be a much more stable frame to use than the Katoki when it comes to variants.

  25. Maybe Bandai still on processing idea how to make action frame 2.0 aka god and master gundam's frame....so it will take a looong time for b.burning to release...

  26. I really like the amazing red warrior, I have the HG and is pretty good but the pricing for this kit is terrible and like many have said it looks too much like its HG counterpart which doesn't justify it in MG.

If they based the mechanical design closer to the hajime katoki version i'd buy this in a heartbeat.
