i understand that in some part of this series feel awful but this show is to tell we that one day Gunpla will evolve until this kind of Gunpla-ing stage.Bandai put in an effort to do it so respect it.

  3. That Crossbone Maoh Satellite Cannon could be ranked as an Anti-Fortress Noble Phantasm
It's the only weapon that can create hole on Space Fortress A Baoa Qu.
An Anti-Space-Fortress Noble Phantasm, to be exact :D

    RG System ver 2.0 ?

Arian sky seems like colony ceiling.

  8. Build Fighters is definitely missing those army battles like this episode. Love the show of skill from the old guys! Definitely shows that many of the main characters now are way too focused on melee 1v1 battles to pack good long range weaponry.

Definitely like how Aila made it to Arian, as well as how Reiji is so oblivious. Aila could've said something along the lines of "you need to take responsibility" and "make me the princess of Arian" XD

Build Strike Cosmos seems to be using some sort of Plavsky Particle barrier. So I guess it's like "You can't hit me with beams or physical weapons while I can hit you with both." Seems fun to have an overpowering suit

    1. that "you need to take responsibility" sounds a little different, if you know what i men. XD

  9. A fun conclusion to a Fun series. I wish we learned a bit more about Reji in Arian but it was overall a great episode to cap off a series. Also what is different between the star build strike and the build strike cosmos?

  13. Finally it's over. A blatant show to sell model kits... Please don't do it again bandai.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Every Gundam TV show ever produced have always been shows to sell model kits, which is why you get Gundams in toyetic colors with lots of gimmicks. The story of war is obviously what made Gundam more than just a toy commercial, but many times the need to sell toys can affect the storytelling at times: see how Sunrise made Dearka defect to Archangel because they wanted Buster Gundam to sell more.

Build Fighters is at least totally honest about its intentions, and actually has fun doing so while both revering and poking fun at Gundam in a humorous manner. It's also not the first time Gundam has gone the Gunpla selling route: Plamo Kyoshiro was a manga in the 80's about Gunpla building, and the origin of the Perfect Gundam. And of course you have Build Fighter's direct spiritual predecessor, the Gunpla Builders Beginning G OVA.

In fact, this is the first Gundam show I've seen that truly made me wish it had a second season.

    2. Trolls are in force today, it seems

      Delete
    3. Gee what alternate dimension do you live in? Because here Gundam is, has always been, and will always be, a toy commercial.

      Delete
    4. If you don't like then watch transforms. Oh wait! That another animated toy commercial. That's not for you either.

      Delete
    5. I think what OP is trying to say is that this is a snapshot of what society has become. Whether Gundam is cool or not, it's still a commercial. A well done commercial. Now you handful of adults are immune to such commercials, but parents who have kids care about these things. It's glorifying toys and teaching kids nothing. Just when you think they band together because they care about one another you find that it's about playing Gundam. You tend to see its effect at a hobby store. The kids are crazed, and so are the hobbyists. I give OP credit for not being a troll. However, asking Bandai not to do it again is ridiculous. They will do it again and again and again. As with Nintendo, and any of those franchises that try to stamp their logo onto an impressionable young audience. It's fun to watch and play, but being critical of the medium doesn't make the person a troll.

      Delete
    6. Your saying it like there's something wrong with society liking gundam.

  14. Hear me out, all of you!

Whether you are a fan of old kits being re-released, a fan of newer generations, a fan of the space opera, or even a fan of the designs, Gundam Build Fighters brings all of us together and gives us a common topic to talk about.

No matter the plot, the designs, the animation quality, we all love Gundam. This show brings us Gundam. We need another chance to bring us together, to be able to stand united and accept each others' opinion. This is not the time to fight amonst ourselves.

This is the time to band together... to demand for a second season.

So, anyone with me? Is there any petitioning platform or movement already out there that I don't know about?

    Rage on, Gunpla!

    6. If they rush one out, its not going to be good.
      Give them time.

Brew a nice story, nice designs.
Reserve a timeslot at a tv station (I suppose they have shows queued up for a timeslot months before).
Budget the plastic beads to buy or something.
      Plan side stories.
      Secure sponsors.
      Etc.

Maybe let the animators go for a break first or their pay is too little and they are already occupied with other jobs?

I suppose a whole lot goes into something like a Gundam anime.

Anyway the GBF side stories should be still ongoing.

    3. The gem that Sei gave China to give to Aila was a Plavsky Crystal that allows your wishes to come true. She wished she could stay with Reiji and the gem granted her wish.

  18. *[Feels Overload Internally]*.... Well, now I'm ok, it was a great last episode, I hope there's a second season, with a returning Reiji and Aila, also with a more darker scheme with the particles, and of course, last but not least, a WHOLE LOT of new custom gunpla

    ReplyDelete
  19. This was quite a nice finale to this short-lived Gundam anime series.
But the last episode definitely seemed like a rush to show off a few more Gundams to basically advertise what is to come in the HG and MG line of GunPla.

Still hopeful that maybe we'll get like an OVA or something extra to Build Fighters. I don't think we'll see a Season 2 since Unicorn 7, G Recongquista, and Origins will be starting up in anime form.

I know a lot of people will disagree with me, but overall, I think Build Fighters and Gundam Age were both similar in terms of overall quality in animation, story, characters, mecha designs.... They were both good series, but really not totally loved or totally hated by Gundam fans. They were both equally good series.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I will disagree for the reason that unlike AGE, Build Fighters seems more universally liked by the people who do watch it up until its incredible end, whereas AGE pretty much got more flak as it went on till it ended. As someone who's seen pretty much all of Gundam, Build Fighters is now one of my highest rated among Gundam shows for the reason that despite its simple premise, it managed to deliver an incredibly fun, humorous and, well amazing show that isn't preachy like most Gundams - including AGE - are.

      Delete
    2. I appreciate your opinion but please don't compare Age with Build Fighters :)
Gundam Build Fighters is 100x better than those failed Gundam Age.
But yea that's my opinion, lol.

Still, I believe this Build Fighters is an overall success, and it's more likely Bandai/Sunrise will make a follow up series in future. Whether it's a second season or a different series though, it's up to Sunrise.

      Cheers.

      Delete
    3. Really agreeeee !!!!

    4. Build Fighters had a much tighter plot than Age. I didn't care about Age's animation, I liked the mecha designs, and the concept was pretty good. The execution sucked. They botched the generation idea by under-developing important characters and over-developing minor characters only to kill them off. Instead of using time wisely to tell a multi-generational story, they mishandled the plot by trying to do too much in each arc. Kio was also a horrible lead character. I'll take 10 Shinn Asukas before I take 1 Kio Asuno.

    -Arian is Azadistan
    -Sazaki likes little girls
-Alan & Meijin Zoolander establish the Center for Kids Who Can't Build Gunpla Good
-Build Strike Cosmos spams everything and we never see Reiji again

  23. I sense a season 2 for this series!! We still haven't see the last of them.. I mean we only see customized strike gundam, customized gundam x, customized wing gundam, customized exia and a few other customized.. But where is the upgrade version of that unit? Like customized strike freedom, customized double x, customized wing zero and customized 00 raiser or maybe customized 00 quanta..

For sure bandai will make the 2nd season of this series since they receive a lot of love and many good respons (not to forget a lot of profit).. So let's hope and wait for the next season.. Peace..

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. why do they need to lead to sucessor units? If the wanted to make their successors, the characters would've done that from the start. This is their own take on their respective mobile suits. Felinni's upgrade was his own version of wing as with Maoh deciding to switch it up with Crossbone.

      Delete
    2. Really hard to say since there's no announcement on that, not to mention they've made a roadmap on the releases till next year or 2 years to come, with Tomino's new series, Unicorn, and The Origin OVA.

  25. soooo... where is the hg and mg amazing exia? it deserve some gunpla, more than dark matter does atleast. anyhow, the season was pretty good but they tried to pack to much in there. it feels like this show was meant to have a 2nd season. the final battle was a little anticlimatic. as for the gunpla, crossbone maoh was creepy and badass, exia repair? nice throwback, the franken-gunpla worked suprisingly well, strangely liked kämpfer exia, the gouf and master gundam combo was great XD

    1. Build Fighters needed one more episode, maybe a couple (or an extended episode like the first ep of Fate Zero). Not every Gundam series needs 50 episodes. Most anime come in around 24-26 episodes. It keeps the pace of the story up. I would argue that most Gundam series should hang around 25-35 episodes. Cut the clip shows, and limit the need for flashbacks. Build Fighters told a decent story without too many slow points. That's good enough. More isn't always better; time to move on. No one likes a clinger.

And if you are at it... make a third, Bandai.

  30. i don't see the point of making a second season of gbf. please don't get me wrong, the story is alright but obviously predictable. some people wanted a sequel, fine but then again sei and perhaps reiji (if he returns) will win the tournament again & again & so on with what? build strike freedom? i find it quite redundant for the story & unfair for the fans of other series to just watch their favorite gundam to only have a supporting role on the show & only one series shines the most.

if and only if there will be another series like this, i hope that it will have an all-new original gundam made only for this show.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. You are right about a second season being a bad idea, it wood get old fast and destroy the originality of BF. Wow what a great ending ! probably the best Gundam ending of all time!

      Delete
    2. It doesn't have to be about Sei and Reiji again. See how Zeta Gundam didn't have Amuro and the White Base all over again, but is still a direct sequel to Mobile Suit Gundam. There are more stories about Gunpla and Gunpla Battles that can be told in this setting, much like how the OYW is a ripe setting for an entire universe of stories.

      Delete
    3. Well the Fenice Rinascita is original, only the concept of the wing gundam remained.

  31. Ahhh, there's no Extreme Gundam Leo and EXA!! ... *sob*
I was hoping they make appearance, but instead we got Bootleg Force, LOL.

  32. this was an awesome series i hope there will be a second season but yes it would result in them winning the championship again however if they were to conclude the championship finale in early 2nd season stating the same thing as on the last episode that sei is a skilled gunpla fighter on top of being the best builderthey could incorporate a arian arc and make the season play in arian (just randomly speaking random ideas from my mind here and it would be nice to see another whole new gundam series i really liked the detailing of the cockpits like in unicorn however everyone has his opinion

    ReplyDelete
  33. I was hopig that A Baoa Qu would split up and everyone was going to push it back like CCA.

Also not sure if I missed it but I don't remember see any Gunpla from Unicorn making an appearance in this series???

    1. We have seen Gunpla from Unicorn but they were never in action. Sei's Unicorn, Mao's Kshatriya, even if Cziommer's Loto was shown in a battle it haven't got a chance to move.

But where's the secret HGBF unit that looks like Freedom? should we wait for season 2 for it?

  36. My moment in this episode is Perfect Gundam. The writers paid respect to the first medium that started the idea of gunplas fighting one another, "Plamo Kyoshiro".

  39. Last episode!

    Arista Hazard!
Imagine a post-apocalyptic Japan invaded by Arista crystallizations which enables Gunpla Battle anywhere :P

At last they updated the CM...kind of.

Woah that giant Arista created a base for itself and moved there?
    Physical? Virtual?
Plavsky anime magic at work again :P

And so everyone can sortie to advertise their gunpla one last time!

    Gouf in space!!!
    Extra verniers at the back.
    Ral-san at full power!

No matter how bad the battlefield look no one gets killed :)

    lol, Exia Amazing Repair!
Perfect Gundam, hmm Ral did nothing interesting to his Gouf.

The chairman found his love on Earth.
Theres still someone for that detestable coward :P

They are really doing the contribution patching up as predicted.

    Unfinished fight.
    Unfinished hi-5.

    Aila really went with Reiji.
    Arian doesn't look that interesting.
Setsuna would fit there pretty well :P

Huh? Theres still Gunpla Battle? The Gyan.
    Crossbone parts, HG or MG?
So they can make plastic in Arian too.
Ok, so Nils and Caroline successfully synthesized Plavsky again, thus Gunpla Battle revival.
Yajima Company gets patent, stock rises.
One year on, Ral and China are still Gunpla Battle watching buddies :P

    Cosmos?
    Whats the diff?

The GBF universe is still open for revisiting in the future.
I would say give them time to plan.

I'm satisfied with the ending, don't really need a season 2.
But if they make it in the future, I'll be sure to take a look.

    3. It's a legal thing. Build Fighters was on a different T.V. station than the one that had AGE and 00. The previous station still has rights to 00 season 2, 00: Awakening of the Trailblazer, and Gundam AGE, so any marketing that those series would've recieved in Build Fighters would have to be paid to the original T.V. station.

  42. Truly a great series. Was Brilliant for the fact that they merged quite a few Gundams from past series' along with a huge marketing gimmick to resell the older models. I'm all for Gundam model building but would be nice for Bandai to come out with a Classics Perfect Grade Gundam Series? I'd buy a P.G. Heavy Arms Custom anyday!!!!
